I usually don't buy lotions (especially in a large size like this!) without first smelling them since I can be sensitive to smells, but I went ahead and bought this lotion sight unseen (scent unsmelled?!) based the reviews.I've used Alba Botanical products in the past and have always loved them, and this one is great, too!
The lotion is nice and thick, but it sinks right in, so that you don't feel greasy and your skin doesn't feel heavy at all after using it.Also, the scent is very, very light and subtle; it doesn't compete with my perfume, and is definitely gender-neutral.In fact, the scent fades away after a few minutes of applying it.
Another big plus is that I can use this on my legs right after shaving, and it doesn't burn, as I was afraid it would because of the alpha-hydroxy acids in it.
I've been looking for an SPF lotion that was lighter-feeling, and this one is definitely great.I've used Kiehl's SPF body lotion in the past, but it's the same price for a bottle that is half as big as this Alba one.I've also tried Lubriderm's SPF lotion, but that one felt too thick for me.This is a nice compromise!
UPDATE 4/18/10:I've been using this a few weeks now, and just love it!It has made my skin so soft, even on those troublesome places like my elbows, which are usually really rough.I will definitely be buying this again once I run out.
Pregnancy really takes a toll ona woman's skin. Mine was left completely lifeless and ashy. I tried every lotion that I could find and still it looked dead and gross.I tried mixing my own vitamins in lotions,I changed my diet...everything.Finally after reading reviews on amazon, I decided to try Alba.OMG...immediately fell in love with the feel of it on my skin, it just seemed to give me back that natural glow that I had been missing for so long.I have been using it for about a month and a half and i am going to have to say that I am a lifer. My skin seems to be much more elastic, firmer, glowing...softer...you name it!
I also love that I can use it on my face if I am feeling to lazy for my normal face regimen and I won't break out.

I'm on my third bottle of this lotion.Just like the title says, it's very emollient and one of the only SPF body lotions out there. It's nice and thick, yet absorbs quickly and not at all greasy. There's no smell to compete with my perfume.The pump always works great on the bottle.PROTECT YOURSELF FROM THE SUN!I highly recommend this wonderful lotion.At a great price, too, you can't go wrong.

This formula of Alba Botanica has been my go-to body moisturizer for about 12 years.With Spf 15 and gentle alpha-hydroxy, it provides both gentle exfoliation and sun protection.The 32-ounce pump bottle lasts months, even with daily use.Unscented, but with a pleasing aroma reminiscent of high quality sun-tan lotion.Highly recommended, even if you're not in the sun.

I see a lot of people liked this product, but I have to tell you I hated it.It goes on gloppy more like a sunscreen full of zinc than a lotion.As a guy with hair on my arms and legs, I couldn't get it to blend into my skin; it just hugged the hair (again like a suncreen would) and was just awful.So if you're looking for a lotion with a sunscreen, I'd say look elsewhere because what you're getting with this product is more like a sunscreen with a moisturizer in it.And that's not the same thing.
