John Frieda Frizz-Ease Extra Strength Serum, 1.69 Ounces
I suffer with some frizz and fly-aways, especially because my hair is so fine. It can look pretty unkempt only a short time after I brush it so I wanted a product which would smooth it and not let it be quite so unruly. While Frizz Ease Extra Strength Serum does work, it's rather heavy and leaves my hair feeling greasy.
This serum is very comparable to Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum although I prefer the bottle because it looks sleeker (but it comes in a much smaller bottle). Frizz Ease Serum does a better job, in my opinion, but does not smell as nice. It does not smell unpleasant but it does smell a bit too much like perfume and chemicals to me.
The bottle instructs to apply a dime sized amount to wet hair. Oddly enough, the official website says to use a quarter sized amount and I think this makes more sense. I like to apply the serum to my brush so my hands do not get greasy. Unfortunately, whether I am using my brush or my hands, the product does not apply evenly. The first area where I apply the product tends to get a thick coating and the rest of my hair sees much less. Of course, this is a problem with any serum.
What I do not especially like is how greasy my hair feels. It does not necessarily look greasy but if I touch it with my hands or feel my hair brush my face, I can tell. My hair generally looks really sleek and shiny but it does not have a lot of movement because of the heavy serum which makes clumps of hair stick together. At one point, it even left clumpy residue like cheaper gels. Other people probably wouldn't notice because I am the only one staring so intently at my hair, however.
The problem is, that if I use less, it really doesn't work all that well. Even having my hair greasy, I'd say only about 75% of my fly-aways and frizz is smoothed down. While this is a decent amount, especially in humid San Antonio, I was looking for something that worked a little better, especially from such a big name.
I think what it most disappointing is how long the bottle lasts. I've only have it a few weeks and it is already about halfway gone. When I used the Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum, it was in a much larger bottle that literally lasted me years.
Overall, Frizz Ease Extra Strength Hair Serum is a product which works with a few drawbacks and has a price tag that will quickly add up with how frequently you will have to replace the product. I will keep on in my search for the perfect frizz product.I really enjoy using this product. I am African American and I used to straighten my hair with a relaxer. I used this after washing and conditioning and it helps keep the moisture in my hair. After using a blowdryer to straighten, it comes out soft and straight.
Now I am natural and still use it on my curls. They are soft after adding it to my wet hair and it retains the curls and coils I have. Nice product!

I really like this product. But I noticed it contains a blend of silicones. An ingredient I have been trying to avoid. Long term use of silicones has a drying affect on ones hair.Read Best Reviews of John Frieda Frizz-Ease Extra Strength Serum, 1.69 Ounces Here
I've been using Frizz-Ease for 14 years, and love it.With my first bottle, I always used way too much my hair was smooth but heavy and dirty/greasy looking. The bottle emptied fast. With a little practice, I got the hang of it.I have long, thick, wavy hair, and this is my #1 product.I section off my hair into 4 parts.I place a dime(ish)-sized amount of product in my palm and rub my hands together to coat them evenly, then distribute the serum through the section.Any product left in my hands gets rubbed into the ends.
Using this product (or sometimes the yellow bottle if I'm going to flat-iron my hair), my hair is smooth as glass and soft as silk.I don't get the wiry puffy blow-outs, I don't have frizz, I don't have dry ugly ends. This is not a one-stop product though no serum is.I still use hairspray, pomade, etc., as needed. This just preps my hair for styling, making it look and feel healthier.
Aside from my first year or so, when I was heavy-handed, I don't experience build-up in my hair from using this product.I also use it on my daughter's hair if I'm blowing it out.I give bottles away as gifts.I love this stuff, and recommend it to everyone.

Skinfood Red Orange Jelly BB Cream SPF20/PA++ - #1 Light Beige
Might be a bit too pink/pale grey, but it eventually blends in with skin color. My sister in law brought me this BB cream from Korea and I haven't found anything that compares. I order it all the time.

This is my favourite BB cream from Skinfood. It's light, non-greasy, doesn't cause any oil build-up, and you only need a little bit for your face.
The only negative thing about it that I would say is that it has a fairly light coverage, so I wouldn't recommended for people who have a lot of acne, blemishes or scars. But other than that, it's perfect for days where you don't want much coverage, or for days where you're not going to go out much.

L'oreal LOreal Hair Expertise LOreal Everstrong Reconstruct Hair Conditioner Rosemary Mint
I freely admit, it was the advertizing for L'Oreal Everstrong that drew me in. I tried the Everstrong Bodify shampoo in combination with the Everstrong Reconstruct conditioner. AMAZING. My hair smelled wonderful (similar to Aveda), but more importantly, it continues to be soft, shiny, and healthy looking after several months of use. I won't say it's BETTER than Kerastase, but I will say that it's every bit as good. And for the price, you can't get any better.
GREAT product, GREAT price.love love love! came fast and is a really really good product. i highly recomend it! will defenetly repurchase it

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the l'oreal everstrong line! I am a frequent bleacher and have very thick hair; this product does wonders! I have tried countless products, masks, and treatments to try to get my hair back to that 'virgin' feel before I started bleaching. Because of this reason, I have avoided blow drying, flat ironing, and curling my hair. When I first saw this I noticed that it was sulfur-free (which I always try to stick to) and that it was very affordable! I tried out the Reconstruct shampoo and conditioner and my hair loves it! The smell is very different (not your usual fruity smell), but it's not very strong and , in my opinion, smells great. After the first wash I could tell a difference. My hair was softer, less tangled, more manageable, and my ends seemed less brittle and more healthy. I also noticed a lot less shedding. I generally tend to use a LOT of shampoo and conditioner, to make sure my hair is fully covered and that there's enough conditioner to set in my hair. A WORD TO THE WISE: a little of this product goes a long way; especially with the conditioner. I quickly learned to use the conditioner very sparingly only on the ends of my hair. If you use a lot, especially on the roots, your hair will be weighed down and appear more oily more quickly. Use sparingly, and the results will be amazing. Definitely stuck to this product....but when your hair is no longer damaged, it tends to make your hair very soft and flat. After my daughter uses this product and the condition of her hair improves, she likes the L'Oreal products in this sulfate free line that add volume and body. The Reconstruct shampoo and masque are absolutely magical. My hair is long, making my ends at least 3 years old.It is permed and color treated.I blow dry and curling iron my hair.Needless to say my ends are very dry and very fragile.
This shampoo and masque keep my hair soft and manageable.I have minimal split ends, and almost no breakage.I couldn't live without them. And the best thing is they are SUPER affordable.I haven't found salon products that are this good, and they cost 2 to 3 times more.

Therapro Therapeutic Scalp Rinse 12 Fl Oz
Although these are marketed for thinning hair, it's definitely worth the price to almost obliterate the psoriasis on my scalpmy hairdressers don't even notice I have it now, let alone random people!I had high hopes for this product. Trying to find a shampoo or conditioner that actually works on scalp itch is an arduous process to say the least. The product sounded encouraging, but unfortunately I could not find an accurate ingredients list. When I tried it, I was quite disappointed to feel the typical sensation of menthol. Menthol is a gimmick and there is no evidence that it actually treats the scalp; rather, it gives you "the feeling" that something is going on, providing basically a placebo effect. Reputable companies would more than likely refrain from such tactics. The overall result was so-so, but I wish they would eliminate any gimmicks.

I've been using Bioclenz and Scalp Response (now called Scalp Rinse) for 8 years and can't give them up because absolutely nothing else works for me. Trying other products always leaves me with a flaky scalp because I have eczeme. These products aren't for anyone wanting perfumed shampoo; they are simply great cleansers and conditioners for those who suffer scalp problems. I've tried other products to save money and havea bit of variety, but I always go back to Bioclenz and Scalp Response. My brother and I both have the same skin condition and love these products. (One note, buying Scalp Response is less expense through a local beauty store ($24 for 16 oz than here online (20 for 12oz.) The Bioclenz is a great savings though.Read Best Reviews of Therapro Therapeutic Scalp Rinse 12 Fl Oz Here

Aveeno Positively Radiant
I read the other reviews and do agree that the moisturizer is thick. Also, it is more expensive than other drug store tinted moisturizers (however, I believe it's more beneficial). The other downside to it is that there are only two colors: fair to light and medium.
All in all, I do recommend this product. This isn't the kind of product I normally review, but I am so impressed with it that I decided to do it anyway. At first I wasn't quite sure if I liked it, but then I realized 1. I have to use less than I would if it was regular foundation, and 2. I have to "set" it with pressed powder or it leaves my face shiny. After those two discoveries, WOW! This will leave you with even-toned, healthy-looking skin without giving you "make-up face". And after using it for a few weeks, my skin is looking healthier all around, even once I wash it off at night. Fantastic product, highly recommended!

Let's just say that my 46 year old skin faces numerous challenges. One morning I woke up determined to go find a face primer to help correct my skin's problems. I hopped in the car and drove 45 minutes to the nearest Sephora. 3 hours later I left Sephora after having tried on every single solitary primer they carry. Nothing helped! I purchased nothing. I left feeling hopeless and dejected after that. Surely if all those expensive miracle products wouldn't help then nothing short of lazer surgery was going to.On the my way back home home I had to stop at a drugstore to pick up a few essentials for my family. While I was racing up and down the aisles getting stuff, somehow I happned to notice the Aveeno Positively Radiant Tinted Moisterizer, SPF 30 Medium. I recalled having used the Radient moisturizer SPF 30 in the past and that I liked it so I tossed this new one in the cart althtough I expected nothing from it other than an orangy, streaky mess on my face. Thinking I was just going to have to go right back in and return the product, I opened it when I got back in the car and put some on right there in the parking lot.
It took a minute to get it blended and worked into my skin and then all of a sudden WOW! I could not believe my eyes. I looked so much younger, healther, and more refreshed than I have in years!
Blotchy dark mottled spots all over my face from sun damage erased! All of a sudden, poof! Cannot see them. (And before this nothing I have ever found covered them up!)
Gigantic pores minimized significantly
Crows feet SO much softened
Dry areas looked soft and well hydrated but not greasy
Under eye circles almost gone!
Red areas gone
Overall tired, stressed, grayish cast of my skin replaced with a luminous, radiant, healthy, natural glow from within look. No weird looking sparkles in the product either.
Greasiness replaced by a lovely even finish all over my face. Not a dry powdered look. Not an overly shiny "dewy" look. Just soft, velvety, slightly moist skin.
And I have one more for you too! For 30 years I have worn foundation every single day. Now I no longer need foundation and I look better than I ever did with it on! You have no idea how freeing this is!
I have never written a review in my life but I could not let this one go by without alerting others to the awesome potential this might have for you too. It goes on thick at first (like a suncreen would) but don't worry. Just keep blending until you have a nice even layer of it on and voila! That heaviness goes away and the product just seems to evaporate into you skin. Feels light and skin can breath.
Lastly, I tried the product from this line designed for the eyes. OW! Stung and burned like crazy on my skin for a long time. Oh well, can't hit it everytime, right? I would not recommend the eye stuff though.

I ran out of my Loreal Age Perfect tinted moisturizer and couldn't find it at any local stores, so I decided to try this Aveeno as they have good products. However, they obviously don't know what "tinted moisturizer" means. The Loreal and Olay that I had tried were very moist, light and sheer. This is very heavy and opaque. As I couldn't afford to waste it, I have continued to use it. I have found if I use a moisturizer under it, it works better. It still wants to collect in my pores and creases and I have to use a sponge to blend it in.It is like very heavy makeup.I will use it up, but won't purchase it again.

First off, I almost never repeat buy moisturizers, I usually keep searching for something better, but not with this tinted moisturizer.I actually buy a spare one or two in the winter because it is harder to find for some reason in the winter months.I buy the medium shade and it blends in so nice and gives very good coverage, so i feel fine leaving the house without make-up.I would probably describe my skin as light-to medium and this shade of medium works really well for me.
