Neutrogena Pure and Free Baby Sunblock, SPF 45+, 2.5 Ounce
This is a little grittier than the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock but I needed a sun block for my face that wouldn't make my eyes water. This is perfect. It will leave a white residue when using alone(I'm sure that's the zinc oxide), but blends in fabulously with make-up. It provides the protection I need without the scent or irritation of others I've tried.It should be noted that I don't typically have "sensitive" skin, however when it comes to sunscreens on my face, I have a problem with the fragrances affecting my eyeballs. Even if I only apply sunscreen to my cheeks, it will somehow irritate my eyes, making them watery and bloodshot. I figured a baby sunblock would do the trick and I'm so happy with the results.
As far as break outs go, I've discovered I would always break out no matter what sunscreen I used until I began washing with baking soda. I use my favorite cleanser, rinse, then, while skin is still wet,rub in a baking soda with water mixed to a little more waterier than a paste but still thick enough to get on finger tips. Gently rub and rinse immediately. It removes the residue from cleanser PLUS it exfoliates and removes anything clogging up pores. Then proceed as normal with toner and/ or moisturizer, etc... I do this every morning and night with excellent results. (I would recommend only using at night if you're just now trying this technique).
Sorry for the BS (baking soda) side note, but I thought it was important to mention for anyone using this or any other sunscreen for their face.

If you look at the ingredient list on "sensitive skin" sunblock, you will often see the same chemical sunblocks as in regular formulae, but the difference is that fragrance is eliminated or reduced. But as it happens, I'm sensitive to a lot of the sunblocks used in sun protection, so I am limited to "physical" sunblock, which is titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, two metallic oxides that essentially reflect and block the sun's rays.
The Baby "Pure and Free" is not only free of fragrance, it only uses the physical sunscreens (unlike some other "baby" brands) and it goes on white, then clears to transparent when you apply it. I stayed out all day at the harbor in Baltimore during "Sailibration" (bicentennial of the War of 1812) and didn't even get a tan, let alone burned. I lent it to one of the friends along for the event, who put it on scalp, arms and face and he also did not get burned--and he's fairer than I am.
This is a small tube and can go in your purse, ready to put on if you are outside. I'd even suggest, if you drive a lot, put it on your "drive" arm to give extra sun protection. If you have very sensitive skin, this is a great way to block the sun.

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunscreen, 3 Ounce
I have been using Neutrogena skincare for a couple of years now, and I've used the SPF 45, 55, and 70 sunblock, in addition to this one, on my face.I'm using exfoliating lotions, and have dark, sensitive skin that scars easily, so sunscreen is a must for me.This sunblock goes on much more sheer than the SPF 70 product from this line.It doesn't leave a pasty cast on my skin, and it doesn't sting or burn, even when it is close to my eye area.I highly recommend this item for those who need a high SPF.
1. It goes on completely dry. You can't feel it AT ALL. I've been able to feel all the other sunscreens I've tried. You don't feel like there's oil on your skin clogging your pores.
2. The smell isn't overwhelming.
3. When you sweat, you don't feel it dripping down your face as with other sunscreens.
4. I wouldn't recommend purposely getting it in your eyes, but with sunscreen, it's sometimes inevitable. Every other sunscreen has made my eyes sting so badly. This still stings, but much less than other sunscreens.
In short, it's the most comfortable sunscreen I've ever tried.
P.S. I tried the same version but in higher SPF. The smell was stronger on the higher SPF's, and they smelled weird and chemical-ish and sometimes gave me a headache. For that reason, I'd stick with SPF 30 rather than go to the higher SPF's. My doctor assured me that past 30, the benefits of higher SPF are very small.

I really like this sunscreen. The UVA/UVB protection is so important, and most sunscreens only block UVA. The lotion goes on feeling like a regular greasy sunscreen, but it disappears rapidly into the skin and it truly doesn't feel greasy at all once it dries. I am not sure how or why, but I swear it also evens out my skintone. I do recommend applying a light coat of your regular moisturizer around the eyes first, as I find this sunscreen can sting when put on the delicate skin under the eyes. I made the mistake of slathering it on over my eyelids once, and I wouldn't recommend that you do that. I found when I sweated, the sunblock crept into my eyes. Ouch. My education I'm a biochemist and I was also a physiology teaching fellow in a university.As such, I have a fair amount of knowledge about chemistry, the body, etc.When my dermatologist recommended this sunscreen, he cited some studies about how SPF15-30 in practice washes off or wears off and doesn't offer adequate protection.He recommended at least SPF 50 and specifically this product.
My experience using this sunscreen is that you don't even know you have it on.It doesn't have a detectable smell and it is very sheer.However, this sunscreen stays on, is waterproof and doesn't block your pores.It guards against BOTH UvA and UvB and the Helioplex technology is a hit with dermatologists.I highly recommend this product and think it's totally worth the cost.

I use this SPF 100 every day. I have really oily skin and this formula is great for my skin type (I am also dark skintone). It's such a great formula, that I replaced my morning skin regimen's (boscia) moisturizer with the Neutrogena SPF 100--I can walk outside without wearing any foundation. this is a wonderful sunscreen , it feels good on my skin , dries mattish , I put it in my fingertips , kind of pat it evenly on them , and spread over my face , even rubbing in some , then smearing it evenly,and gently , all pretty fast , and I don't get the balling up , or rolling off , my skin , if ya work it too much , I think you kind of remove it , apply it and leave it alone a minute. wonderful stuff.I reviewed the wrong sunscreen SORRY FOLKS! This is a tinted sun block, which makes it a decent make up primer. It does not have an overly greasy feel like other sun products, but it is also NOT water proof so it needs to be reapplied very frequently especially when outside. This product contains both zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, which is recommended by dermatologists to get the best benefit. Additionally, this product claims to have anti-oxidants in it, but does not list which antioxidants are actually in the formula.The downside is the cost. I love some clinique products, but many contain fillers that make them seem more "cheap" to me-this is one of those products. I probably will NOT buy this product again, and recommend others research the ingredients in it to make sure you do not have a reaction to any of them.
I wear this every day.If I wear nothing else on my face, usually because I'm in a hurry, I use this, Clinique blush stick, and Clinique Soft Shine lipstick.But it can wear off easily in the heat.I like to use it with Clinique loose powder, which always brings great comments.No streaking, and it's a light enough color that fair (read: pale!) customers like me can use it without fear of looking like an Oompa Loompa...which was always my complaint when I used cheaper foundation.It's sheer enough, however, that it doesn't add lightening color, so I can't imagine it wouldn't work with darker skin tone.Another plus:I have three generations of melanoma in my family...anything I can do to add sun protection is welcome, and this saves the step of adding a separate sunscreen underneath foundation.

I really like this sunscreen.Having very pale skin, I need to have a very high SPF sunscreen.This lotion is weightless and doesn't leave your face oily or shiny.It blends well, and is actually skin-colored as opposed to white.It does have a bit of a sunscreen smell, as another person mentioned, but that doesn't bother me.

I am a medium skin tone before i used it and now I'm dark dark. I would recommend taking a baby wipe with you for your hands, but my body didn't turn orange at all.

I bought this lotion because I thought there was going to be an extreme amount of bronzers in it. Well there wasn't. It didn't do anything for my color. In fact, I had to mix it with a tingler lotion just to have some color. The only good thing about this lotion is that is smells amazing. It's a really fun fruity smell that does stay on after tanning. Also the lotion does go on nicely l. I will not by again. African Shea Butter Cream 16 Oz. (100% Pure & Raw) Pack of 2
I admit, I was reluctant to stray from Butters-n-Bars.com raw organic shea butter, which I have purchased regularly for the past two years. Before B-n-B, I used to buy this "regular" shea butter from the local BSS (beauty supply store), but then as shea became more popular the price increased dramatically. I read reviews about the pros and cons of raw organic vs. "regular" which includes root coloring, but in the end decided to come back to regular because my husband and I really don't notice any difference between the two in terms of results from our everyday use.I primarily use this butter in sealing and styling my natural afro-textured (3c-4b) hair. I use it for two-strand twists on my damp hair or for slightly elongating my curls on a wash-n-go. My husband and I also use shea butter for daily moisturizing and skin softening, as well as on our faces and lips, sometimes mixed with a little aloe very gel. We prefer this over lotion. A little goes a long way. Based on previous experience, I expect we will be using these two large containers for about 14 months, if not longer.
This two-pack of butter is a deeper yellow tone than B-n-B's raw organic version. The two tubs came in a sealed plastic bag, which is smart considering the heat of the late summer. It's smooth and creamy in consistency, kind of like a buttery, cream cheese icing.It's not grainy at all. Heating it and letting it cool again without mixing with something else (e.g. oils) will tend to make shea butter grainy (I know because I left a container in the hot car once by mistake). Graininess is not terrible, as it will melt down in your hands anyway, but if texture is important to you just be careful with it. We rub it between our hands for a few seconds and then apply to skin. The smell is kind of nutty and earthy, and not at all like gasoline as some described on a different product review page. BTW, if my shea butter smelled like gas, I would send it back.
I am pleased with my purchase and I will buy from this seller again, especially if the price stays about the same.

Shea butter is awesome stuff, I'm always on the prowl for some all natural products for my family. My mom has very sensitive skin and I bought this for her and she loves it, her skin looks so supple now, not dry or itcy is what she use to say about her skin. I also use use this for my kids and I.
