I'm surprised by the negative reviews.Perhaps this powder isn't for everyone but it is for sure one of my very favorites, right up there with MAC skinfinish natural & Rimmel's stay matte powder.I have fairly dry skin, sensitive, sometimes T zone oil and I have some wrinkles.

Lot's of powders do not work for me, many have made my skin feel tight and dry, or look cakey and gross, accentuate wrinkles or make me break out so I am very picky about powders.

This one looks amazing and feels great, I use a lot of moisturizer first, then once that has settled in I buff it on with a kabuki brush.It covers amazingly well without being cakey or powdery.It never breaks me out.Perhaps it's not for everyone but I would certainly recommend it if you think your skin might be like mine.

My skin is very sensitive and acne prone so I rarely change face products, but I gave this powder a try since it is mineral wear and Physicians Formula is usually a good product.Unfortunately, the results weren't very positive.I tried it 3 days ago and it went on very smooth, covered nicely, and gave my skin a nice matte finish which is great since by midday my skin is usually really oily.After I put it on my skin was a bit itchy for about 15 minutes, but I wasn't concerned since I thought that it was probably just my skin adjusting to something new.I checked my face after lunch and my skin looked even oilier than normal which surprised me, so I blotted with an oil sheet and dusted a bit more on with the little kabuki brush and it looked fine again.(The kabuki brush is pretty flimsy, but it works fine and I have a really nice one that didn't apply it that much better.) The next day there was no itching at all so I thought it was fine, but when I checked my skin around lunchtime my skin was super oily, my pores appeared enormous, and my face had an orange cast to it.I used an oil sheet, put some of my old powder on and couldn't wait to get home to wash my face.Unfortunately, I woke up the next morning with a face full of acne.I did really like the initial results of the powder, but my face was an oily mess after a few hours and after using it for 2 days I now have a face full of acne to deal with.

I think this powder might be great for someone who doesn't have oily or sensitive skin, but if you are like me and don't have perfect skin, then you should probably to try something else.

I knew I had a winner when I first put this on and it made my big wrinkle on my forehead less noticeable (my "11s" as they call the forehead wrinkles between the eyebrows, are starting to come out at the age of 46).I am very fair and the Translucent shade suits me perfectly.This pressed powder provides a nice coverage and helps your skin to look smooth and more even-toned. I have nothing bad to say about it except for the brush that no one likes....I agree that the brush sucks but it's worth it to me just to have such a wonderful and concealing powder that does not contain talc!:-)

To start off this powder is NOT translucent....it is probably more pigmented than other non translucent powders I have used.

I am blond and very fair--this color seems to work well for me. Good coverage!

It gives a very nice matte finish. I am very oily and acne prone, and I havent had any increased oilyness or breakouts whatsoever. No weird smells to the makeup, and it's not itchy to me. No hives here.

Another reviewer mentioned that this makeup oxidizes and turns orange on your skin after a while. I have been looking out for that, and haven't really noticed anything to that affect. You know how power of suggestion works.

It comes with a tiny brush that kinda makes you want to laugh, but it collects the powder really well, and doesn't waste. Wheras when I use a powder or kabuki brush alot of the powder is wasted. I like it better than having a sponge that collects dirt and oil then just sits in your makeup. This brush can be washed, dried, and stored seperatly from the makeup in a compartment under the pan.

After using this powder a little longer I will update my review. :)

I had high hopes for this powder as I think Physician Formula products are pretty good.Not this powder.It gives a "flat matte finish"that is horrible.I also bought this in the lightest shade there can possibly be,..translucent, and not only was it kind of dark, it also oxidized once on, and it turned orange.Too bad, I really wanted to like this powder but ended up just throwing it away.

Essentially, I bought this product thinking it'll help protecting my face from the sun. And it did.

However, there was a distinctive smell that I didn't quite like and the texture of the sunscreen was a bit thick and not as smooth. After applying it to my face, I noticed the appearance of my face to be quite "pasty" and "cakey".

I wanted to use it everyday but I would like an effective sunscreen for the price I paid, like Elta MD (They're practically the same price) This product is so-so.

Wouldn't recommended to my friends.

I love this tinted sunscreen.I never wear makeup and I suddenly really needed it because of the discoloration on my face.

Also, my facialist and doctor said I definately need to wear sunscreen because of my sun damage.

I put this on and I have received so many compliments on my face.Friends have asked me, "What did you do?You suddenly look so much younger!"

I also love that it has a natural base--titanium and zinc.It's a fantastic product and well worth it!

I love this product an use it every day. I have fair, dry, over 55sensitive skin that breaks out from just about everything. The zinc oxide is soothing and non drying. The finish is Matt with the slightest ivory tint. I use it with a little concealer and mineral powder instead of foundation. So sorry Arcona is discontinuing it.You don't need much of this mousse formula to get great coverage, and the SPF 40 is higher than that of most tinted moisturizers.However, it is probably best for those with fair skin.

Kinesys SPF 30 Zinc Ointment, 3 Ounce

Currently using Badger spf30 and its leaves a lot of zinc/white on the face unless you rub in quite a bit. Kinesys SPF 30 Zinc Ointment takes less rubbing and not too heavy. I like the product. I wish it came in a smaller container for travel use.

I bought this based on the EWG (Environmental Working Group ) Skin Deep analysis of the product which ranks it was a low risk for toxicity. It is 25% zinc oxide, so it does apply white, but after you rub it in well, it disappears. I use it on my face and neck and on my grandchild. As it says, it is an ointment, so it is thick and rather greasy. I would never have used it as a young person with oily skin unless I was a lifeguard; however, aging skin does quite well to absorb the oils. It has not caused (for me) any skin breakouts due to its thick nature. In fact, it seems to help my complexion. I did not give it five stars because the manufacturer does not speak to whether the product contains nanoparticles on the label or their website description of the product. I plan to try Badger sunscreen next. They have a good EWG rating and advertise no use of nanoparticles.

It does a superb job at preventing any effects of the sun. I used it for my olympic distance triathlon in the Jamaica, which meant I was in the sun for 5 hours, which included the running portion in the scorching sun at midday. I have fair skin and even after the race, I looked as if I didn't even step outside. Not even a flushed look which is great because that meant absolutely no sun penetration at all to incite any inflammation (which is what an initial tan is). That's not to say I aim to be fair. In fact I prefer the look of a more tanned complexion, however, I refuse to incur sun damage with its consequent aging effects for a few weeks of "glowing" skin. I will admit i applied it rather generously, and that leaves a whitish look. Also, it is evidently water resistant because it was still effective after the swimming portion. However, it is not completely waterproof, because I noticed white streaks after the race due to the sweating. Overall, a lifesaver. Maybe not the best option for an everyday wear that involves less intense sun exposure because it does make your face a bit greasy and white, but for heavy duty outdoor sports or days when you will be under direct sun exposure, it is a must.

Was sorry to see some ingredients that aren't "natural" but are listed as chemical sunscreens that should be avoided.Thought this was a natural product. :(The smell is great and it goes on well, but homosalate is something I was trying to avoid.The label indicates that it is a mineral sunblock when in fact it has chemical blocks in it also. Bummed.

In my search for a more natural sunscreen (physical block) with both high UVA/UVB protection, I found the Jason product at my local natural grocery store.I started with the Badger (yuck, greasy for HOURS!) first, then moved on to the Jason.This stuff absorbs very quickly, leaves no greasy after-affects, and has a great scent (coconut, like a tropical bronzing oil).I've switched my entire family to this.It goes on very easily compared to some others I've read about or tried...no excessive or hard rubbing to get rid of the white traces.Even when my 6YO decided to sunscreen himself (gobs on his face and cheeks...) I was able to rub it in very easily.My son and I are redheads, my husband is of nordic descent.We are all WHITE.And we've had no issues with burning since trying this.Even when I go out without it, and start to get red, I find that applying this sunscreen stops any further progression of the burning immediately and I'm able to continue my work outside.I will be buying more soon...highly recommend!

My son's skin is allergic to every sunscreen that I have tried. The only thing that has not made him break out is this awesome Jason sunblock. I love the smell of it and the protection that it offers. I definetly recommend this prodect.

I purchased this thinking I was buying a safe product to use on my 4 and 1 year old children. I should have looked more closely at the ingredients. This sunscreen contains 10.0% Homosalate and 10.0% Octocrylene which can get into your bloodstream and can cause all sorts of unwanted toxic side effects, including hormone disruption. The product itself goes on with ease and has a nice tropical smell. However, I will be looking for something less toxic to put on my babies!

Tried this sunscreen for the first time and I really liked it. It did not make my face break out, which is rare with most sunscreens, even those specifically made for the face. It goes on smoothly,doesn't make you feel sticky, hold up well in the water, and did what it was supposed to protected me from a nasty burn, but let me get a little tan. Highly recommend.

This sunscreen has some stuff I love about it and stuff that can be improved.I'll start with the positives.

1.This is an all natural product with out the harmful chemicals that sunscreens has

2.this is the only sunscreen or sunblock I have ever used that didn't irritate my eyes.I could wear this all day and no problems.

3.it does have a white residue on your face, but it's not so bad when you wipe the excess off.The white residue is minimal compared to other healthy sunblock brands that I have tried.

Now for the bad.

1.This sunblock is very greasy.It's hard to wash off of your skin.I broke out after having used this sunblock for a couple weeks.Normal soap and water does not remove this product entirely and you may get acme.Hopefully I can find a cleanser that can remove this.I've been trying exfoliating cleanser to scrub it off.

2.It leaves a white gooey residue on your clothes.I washed my clothes and the residue was still there so it's apparently not water soluable.I am going to try to using hot water in the rinse cycle next time instead of cold.I am hoping that will help.

3.this sunblock comes out of the tube very thick, especially when the tube gets cold.You have no choice but to apply a thick layer on your face for complete coverage and then you have to wipe off the excess which is kind of annoying.

conclusion:

This sunblock is not with out flaws, but it is a good product nonetheless.I am willing to put up with with the white residue problem for now 'cause it doesn't irritate my eyes.That's very important to me since most sunscreens render me blind after a few hours of use.So, it's great for babies and kids since it's mild.Just wash your skin thouroughly after use with the proper cleanser 'cause you may break out.Also, it doesn't have the harmful chemicals that other products have and no nano-zinc which is important.

Ryan is 100% right with everything.I personally will not purchase it again because I tried other natural sunscreens that are easier to get out of the tube that won't irritate my eyes and provide great coverage.One more pro to this lotion is it doesnt' smell awful like many of the other natural sunscreens.I recommend Blue Lizard definately, or Alba Botanica as my second choice.

I agree with the other reviewers that this product has its pros and cons.

Pros: great long lasting sun protection, no scent, non-toxic ingredients, made in the USA

cons: hard to apply, looks very white on the skin initially, white residue transfer to clothing and objects, difficult to remove even with soap, expensive

I have been using this product on my fair skinned 3 year old for the past two weeks of daily swim lessons. It has delivered superior sun protection, but she has also developed quite a nice tan over time. We are usually in and out of the pool from about 9:30am to 12:00pm. Even though I do not reapply sunscreen during that time she has not had any redness whatsoever. The product is very thick coming out of the tube, and it requires a lot of rubbing to apply it. It appears very white on the skin at first, but after a short dip in the pool I do not notice the white color. I have not used it on her face, so I cannot comment on it clogging pores or burning the eyes. The other day I applied it before we left for the pool and found that there was white residue all over the car seat, but I was able to remove it fairly easily with a wet wipe. I did have some difficulty removing the sunscreen from my hands after applying it, even with soap. I tried some oil-based facial cleanser, which took it right off. I will continue to use this product because I feel that it is worth the money to have both reliable sun protection and safe, natural ingredients. EWG rated this as a hazard 1, which is the lowest possible score. I think that all in all, it is a great product.

They say this product is Paraben free but when I researched the very first ingredient it came up as a paraben here: My past research has shown that any chemical with the name "butyl or methyl" is a paraben and this chemical is also known as "Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane".This is illegal advertisement and I hope someone sues these people if I am correct on my research.

Just buy "Green Screen" they are the ONLY ones I can find free of ANY toxic chemicals what so ever.

I was said because I do want a safe "spray" on sunscreen and was hoping Coola would be my new choice but not after I looked deeper into the product and found they lie about the one thing I am looking to the main ingredient avoid which is Parabens.

i cannot even put to words how much i love this spray, this was the first time i ever used a spray tan and my skin is a light olive since it is winter, but i usually tan very dark, and this product looks natural and smells kinda like cotton candy, with a shimmer! drys relatively fast, and brown not orange. i have used many different self tanners, but i think this is the ultimate tan in a can! will buy this product again!

I'm a dermatologist who likes to run sprints as an exercise. I've tested a bunch of sunscreens because so many burn my eyes when I run. My eyes are quite forgiving with this sunscreen. That being said, I noticed a few other reviewers whose eyes have burned.In my opinion, they are probably just unlucky to be sensitive to this sunscreen. In short, some people will have eyes that burn and some won't. This applies for all sunscreens. You've got to find one that you tolerate. The same rationale applies for rashes or acne.

I recommend different sunscreens for different purposes. This one happens to be a little heavy for daily use but it does the job during exercise as well as any that I've tried. In case you're interested, I apply it ridiculously thick about 45 minutes before I go out.I look like a freak around the house but it gets absorbed by the time I step out the door. I recommend reapplying every two hours. For swimmers, reapply every 30 minutes if possible because "waterproof" laboratory testing is done in a bathtub. It's a lot different in the pool or the ocean.

On the technical side, "Helioplex" refers to photo-stabilization, which means that it resists breaking down when the sun hits it. Yes, you heard right--many sunscreens break down in sunlight!

One more word of advice not related to this sunscreen, so I can feel I'm honoring Hippocrates and his oath:Even the best sunscreens are not perfect in filtering or blocking ultraviolet light. So try to go out after 4 PM in the summer.Or, if you prefer, get out there at 6 AM and be back home by 9 AM.If you're a hiker, get a hat with wide rims from Sun Precautions or another company called Sunday Afternoons. They also sell shirts that block ultraviolet light and cool you off. I would post their websites but Amazon doesn't allow links on these reviews.

Last thing--Like all dermatologists, I get a bunch of sunscreens for free from manufacturers.But I buy Neutrogena Sport Face with my own money for my workouts on the track.

I use it everyday. Why would you not want to protect your skin everyday(other than for concern over oxybenzone) and why wouldn't you want it to be oil-free and sweatproof? Don't you want it to stay on if you HAPPEN to go for a run, or to the gym, or until you take a shower, especially if it feels light?

Pros: High SPF(though supposedly the FDA is going to put a stop to any labeling over 30)

I have breakouts everyday. My skin is also super sensitive. I live up at my cottage the whole Summerand the worst thing about suncreen is it getting into your eyes after swimming. I have used this sunblock for 2 years now and it is the ONLY sunscreen that won't sting your eyes, and cause them to burn. When they say it "won't clog pores", they really mean it. I am very scared about getting sun cancer, and this is the only sunscreen I feel confident in wearing. It's not greasy.. and I only apply twice a day. Never got one burn yet!

This stuff is great. I love the smell, and all the good for you ingredients for the hair. It doesn't leave it sticky, and it definetly leaves a silky feel.

I have long hair which is prone to being very knotty, I tried this product & was very impressed. It is extremely light but effective & I definately noticed a difference with my hair being easier to detangle after spraying. I have since tried a couple of the Peter Coppola shampoos which are fantastic. I would highly recommend the Argan oil shampoo, which I now use in conjunction with this reconstructor spray.

I bought this product because my leave in had been discontinued. I honestly thought it would just be a decent filler until I could find my regular leave in on the internet but I was pleasantly surprised. I noticed in the light one day my hair looked extremely shiny and thick and healthy, I hadnever really seen it look that way before and I really believe it is because of this product. I was skeptical, like I am for most "moisturizing" hair products, but this spray is great. I use it with my Chi silk infusion and my normally frizzy, dry, wavy hair is soft and bouncy. It doesn't get sticky or crunchy. I love that if my hair gets a little dry the next day I can just spritz some more on and my hair is soft again. It spells good, but not strongly which is also a plus. I definitely will be repurchasing this.

Igoggles Sunbed Goggles Tanning 1 Pair

For me these are great when I tan. The ones at the tanning place never seem dark enough. These really block the light and I would recommend them.

When I came across these iGoggles I thought I found eye protection that would fully block the sun so I purchased two pairs. Unfortunately, I discovered they are not opaque. Whilst reclining on my patio I was able to plainly see my surroundings. Fortunately, they're darker than the Sunsets so they'll tide me over until I can find a pair that truly put me in the dark.

First pair i've ever owned. I do get some light leakage near the bridge of the nose, although very minimal and I usually keep my eyes closed and meditate...so no big deal to me, but it might be to you.

Much prefer this style of eye protection for tanning, either indoor or outdoor. Leaves no telltale rings around the eyes that shows you've been tanning. Will buy again.

SOL SUNGUARD - Bluewater 36 SPF Sunscreen

As the other reviewer stated, the picture leads you to think that you will be getting the 4oz bottle, instead you get the dinky 1.5 ounce bottle. This is classic bait and switch.

The site shows both the 4 Oz. and the 1.5 Oz bottles sold by Blue Quill Angler for Amazon. There is only one price for this product and it makes you think that you are getting a bargain at $6.75 for the larger bottle. Low and behold, you only get the smaller bottle. Please remove the picture of the 4 Oz bottle from your website as this is misleading and borders on false advertisement!!

As for the product: I have had problems with other sunscreens that get in my eyes and sting whenever I sweat. I do a lot of fishing and I originally came upon this sunscreen at my local tackle shop. Needless to say, I have no more eye stinging from sunscreen. It does leave a slightly visible white film from the zinc oxide, but I would rather have this than red, burning eyes.

Dove ProAge Hand Cream, 2.5-Fluid Ounce (75 ml)

I am a 57 year old woman with an extremely active lifestyle. I own and operate a farm, I am a Master Gardener and spend a great deal of time out of doors. I am not one to invest a great deal of time in beauty routines because there is so many other interesting things to do. When I used the Dove Pro-age Hand Cream it really improved the terrible condition of the skin of my hands and arms. I look like a regular pinto bean from the sun damage that I have accumulated over the years. You can just imagine my suprise and delight when the hand cream visibly reduced or in some cases eliminated the sun spots on my hands. The hand cream works it isn't loaded with obnoxious fragrance and my skin readily absorbs it. Thank you Dove.

We normally use other brand we buy in Wal Mart, but this one seems a little bit better. We recommend this one.

I love Dove Hand Cream with Spf.HOWEVER:this shipment came with no product boxes.Moreover, scotch tape was wrapped around the cap and bottle, and it looks as if the hand cream had already been opened and used.I don't write a lot of reviews, but believe me, this is disgusting.

I'm not really impressed with this product. I have not found it to prevent or elevated fine lines under my eyes. It makes my eyes a bit puffy (swollen) which I'm unsure if that's what it's suppose to do in order to "fill in" the fine lines (wrinkles). It gives a soothing feeling on application, which I do like, but overall it is not worth the approx. $16.00 I paid for it at Walmart. I will not purchase this again.

Let me say first off that this provides hydration that until now only lip balm provided to my poor dry eyelids. It felt almost "dewy" which I believe is exactly the goal.

I bought this product the day before writing this review. Normally I would have given it a few weeks (and never write reviews on ANYTHING) however, I do think this should be said to anyone who is thinking about purchasing this product.

My eyelids are very dry all the time, and my skin is pretty sensitive and acne prone. I am a 25 year old female who has fair but olive skin. If I burn its rare, and when I do, I recover within 24 hours. This eye cream is wonderful, except for the puffiness. When I awoke after my first use my eyes looked like they were in a UFC fight. A little morning coffee and a cold pack has calmed them but I thought I should share this as most women would find this to be a deterrent. Like I said, my eye lids were in desperate need for hydration! So this could possibly be the reaction to having ample hydration? Puffy does mean full of fluid right? Although any swelling is never good....

Anyway, I plan on continuing to use the product and review again soon. All in all, I would definitely buy this product again, I love anything physicians formula simply because its not as "chemical" ridden and generally very gentle on skin.

I love La Roche-Posay and was excited to try this new sunscreen product since its so hard to find SPF 30. It's actually very greasy and I ended up getting more on floor than I did on my skin.It takes a while to soak in too.I think I will stick with the 45 in the lotion bottle form in the future.

Ocean pot natural kids sunblock spf45 - 3 Oz

This is kids' sunscreen and I'm not a kid...I use kids' stuff a lot, as I have sensitive skin and sunscreens have irritated it in the past. Stuff made for younger skin seems to be gentler usually.

I'm not very fond of this sunscreen so far. It goes on very white, which mostly fades after a while, but it still feels chalky on the skin all day. I imagine this might fade or be less noticeable if you were doing a lot of water activities, and might even help your skin feel drier when sweating a lot. I've only used it on land in low-sweat activities, so the chalkiness annoyed me. I was also afraid it would rub off on the furniture when I got inside, since you can still see some white on the skin even after it's "rubbed in." I do like that it's natural and seems very effective at protecting against the sun. It also seems to stay on quite well: I applied it at 10 this morning and can still feel it on my skin at 5:30PM. I was a little disappointed that it doesn't smell as nice as the other Ocean Potion products I've used (and always loved!). It's not a bad smell, just kind of chalky and metallic, so not the pleasant smell I usually associate with sunscreen. As much as I like the idea of natural sunscreen, I think I'm going to go back to the "unnatural" Ocean Potion.
