MDSolarSciences -SPF 50+ Ultra Mineral Screen Gel

Now that summer is here, I need to step up my SPF a notch. Normally for everyday use, I use MDSolarSciences SPF 30+ mineral gel, but for prolonged sun exposure the MDSolarSciences SPF 50+ Mineral Screen Gel is really handy. It caresses my skin in the same way as the SPF 30+ gel...ever-so-smooth and water/sweat-resistant. I've recommended it to friends and family. Once you try MDSolarSciences products, there really isn't any going back.

A dermatologist friend of mine recommended this product.It is amazing, one application prevents any burning all day.I would have given 5 stars but this stuff is crazy expensive.On heavy sun exposure days it is worth the $1-2 dollars worth of sunscreen to cover my face, neck and arms but for frequent use this is too expensive.

As a product of the baste and bake '50s era, I've learned to be very careful about protecting my skin from the elements, something made more difficult by occasional Rosacea flare-ups which seem to be my generation's acne.Most of the dermatologist products I've tried have been a disastrous, sticky, shiny mess.Adding a layer of makeup only compounds the problem.NOT SO with MDSolarSciences Mineral Screen Gel SPF 50+.It absorbs instantly and feels weightless.It allows the addition of foundation for a flawless, matte finish which doesn't transfer to one's cell phone (a big problem).My skin feels good with it on all day, and it's easy to remove with wipes along with your makeup.Skin feels good when you remove the product too.It has no medicinal smell...no fragrance at all...and it's about 75% cheaper than Lancome which I also like, just not as much.However, at the end of the day this kind of product must do what it promises -protect from the Sun -and I believe it does.

MDSolarSciences was recommended to me by my dermatologist, because of my skin's sensitivity and tendency to react to certain products.

I live in a bike-friendly city, which is good because I do commute to work on my bike just about every day. But it also means that I'm in the sun quite frequently, sometimes for more than just a couple of hours.

Since I started using the SPF 50+ gel, I haven't had any negative skin reactions from the ingredients. And I've also managed to protect my skin from sunburns. I keep a bottle of it in my backpack for reapplication.

I can safely say that this product meets all of my expectations.

I just ordered this product and saw that dimethecone was listed 6 different times in the long list of ingredients.That is not healthy.So, I naturally wanted to return the product.However, 101 Beautystore refused to take back my product because I had opened the "bottom" of the box (in order to ensusre that it was still restockable as I wanted to see the tube.Big mistake.Not only am I out the $30 for the product but I am annoyed that a company would not take back something that I clearly would not use due to harmful ingredients.If you must order this product, please find a different seller with honest business practices.

I got a sample of this from my dermatologist and really liked it.Her office sold the same bottle I bought here for at least $20 more.I like the nice light texture on my oily skin and it seems effective in blocking the sun.

I bought this product, because my dermatologist said to get a sunscreen with zinc oxide or titanium dioxide for my skin. So this product had both.WOW!! I use sunscreen when I swim or play golf or mow the grass. this makes this product ineffective because I sweat and it comes off or I swim and it comes off. Well I returned it with no problem. Then I found Banana Boat Kids SPF 50 with titanium dioxide at Target, and it works great for this 60 year old man..

The spray is much better than the lotion. It rubs right in. I used it on the 180 mile Trek Across Maine. I am very fair skinned and 6 hours in the hot sun for 3 days and I did not receive a single burn.I never reapplied it either.I use the lotion (not the spray version) daily in the morning on my arms and neck.Not sure I'll repurchase the same brand after I use it up. I can't use it on my face because it makes it too oily.

As I enjoy my trip in Hawaii, I cannot help but marvel about my new sunscreen find. ActiveUse spray is the best sunscreen I have ever used.I am not used to sunscreen exceeding my expectations. We purchased the spray version after it was recomended by my sister-in-law, from a discussion on how my youngest daughter was getting sunburned (rather severe burns twice this past summer) after using all the typical over the counter sunscreens labeled for children. Although it does have a bit more of an oily feel to it compared to the lotion version of the same sunscreen, it quickly absorbers into the skin. I have used it on my face with no issues in breaking out whatsoever. My daughter stopped getting sunburned this summer after using this sunscreen! We plan on using both the lotion and spray version next summer, especially as I am very sun-sensitive now due to medication! I feel confident in using this sunscreen that my daughter's and my own sensitive skin will be well-protected and safe from future sun related issues. I know it is a bit more expensive than other sunscreens, but the quality speaks for itself!

I've been using La Roche Posay brand for years and don't have any complains to it. Usually Amazon service is great until this order. Clarins Sunscreen for Face Wrinkle Control Cream SPF 50+ 2.7 Oz

I bought this at sephora, and I specifically asked for a non-greasy product.It's greasy!I'm kind of surprised I didn't notice when I tried it in the store, but maybe it's my skin, which is mostly oily, but sometimes dry.Anyway, the product makes my skin look good (hydrated), but I was hoping for something that didn't leave me feeling like I need to wash my hand every time I brush my hand against my face.No breakouts yet, but I haven't been using it regularly.

I did a lot of reading up on this before committing 30.00 to sunscreen and while it's not bad, it isn't great on all skin. On me, it was fine for certain areas of the face but it made me break out elsewhere, which was the last thing I expected from Clarins especially given the reviews. If you have t-zone skin, consider carefully or else you'll be wearing two different sunscreens like I am.

I live in the hot and humid state fo Florida and I can use this without worrying about it runing down my fce & into my eyes.VEry moisturizing, but non-greasy.Non-sticky and works after a few hours in the sun.Highly recommend.

Please be aware that this is not the 100% mineral Sunscreen which most of you will be expecting. I was not aware that NIa offered this in different ingredients. This is very light and not suitable for sensitive skin. Hopefully i can return this product.

I have used other Nia 24 products and have been happy with those products. However , with this sunscreen it seems to make me break out and itch. I assume I am allergic to Titanium Dioxide , as I find this problem with a lot of sunscreens.It also makes you look ashy in color, I am not sure why.. I am pretty fair too and it doesnt mix well with foundation. I would not recommend this for people with acne/sensative skin.

I do not like this at all. Thick and hard to put on. Felt greasy on my face. Made the fine lines on my face more noticeable, did not blur them. The consistency does not feel good. I really like L'Oreal products. Not this one. I will stick with L'Oreal Youth Code lotion with spf 30. This was a complete waste of money!

I'm a 51yo Caucasian woman with some normal wrinkling and age related pore enlargement. I had a sample in a magazine that was actually decent quantity (unusual). Instead of putting it all over I used it on the problem areas for me; the nose, chin, cheeks & some forehead. By doing that I could try it more than once and see where it struggles. I loved it, but I also took it for exactly what it is... 'face spackle'! :). I've tried others like products and really disliked how they interacted with my skin and makeup...caking and flaking. I used them in similar manners, but didn't have this problem with this one. If I didn't mess too much with the area after I put it, it definitely 'blurred' things especially in the pore size area on nose, chin and checks. When my sample ran out, I was really bummed and I think that says it all. I wanted more.

I am really amazed with all the negative reviews. I LOVE this product because it did just as it promised in these first two weeks of use.

I followed the directions on the box and chose to use it under my L'Oreal foundation but over my Aveda moisturizer.

Used no more than a dime size as explained. Over the moisturizer it flows onto your skin smoothly, easily and evenly.

I wait a minute or two then apply the foundation. Use L'Oreal Visible Lift Pro Retinol A+ Vitamin C foundation.

What I get from this product is an airbrushed affect on my skin that lasts at least from 8 to 10 hours

Pores shrink, lines blur, skin perks up (I even check them in a high magnification mirror to see the difference)

I just turned 48 and this product has brought back a glow to what was normally dull skin.

Its worth a try. Follow the directions to achieve maximum results.

Please be realistic if you have more than just fine lines don't expect skin to go from looking 80 to 20.

I like shiseido sun protection very much and have been using it for years.

Personally, I like the Ultimate sun protection SPF60+ better, and find this one a little watery. If you like a lighter feeling on your skin, this isn't a bad choice.
