My dog gets lots of little itchy rashes, and he'll scratch himself bloody if we don't treat it.My vet gives him cortisone shots when he has an outbreak, but I don't like exposing him to frequent steroid doses.A friend at the dog park recommended Key's Metacare,I was dubious because he doesn't really like sprays and creams, and he usually licks them off before they can do any good.But even though this lotion has a strong herbal smell, he doesn't seem to mind it at all, and it seems to give him much more relief than the other products I've used.And even if he does lick at it, it doesn't appear to have any ingredients that are undesirable for him to ingest.I'm sure it's probably great for its intended use on humans, too.It's a very rich, silky lotion.
The product quality is excellent and one of the best on the retail scene for the lotion. My husband has
had a melanoma and we put this on the site.The product goes in the skin and does not sit on top.
No sulfates and chemicals to hold it together like mass market brands.Great line of skin care.

I started using this product when I just did not want to spend another 45.00 for my usual Origins face cream. I was skeptical at first but when I found out that it not only has Vitamin C but White Tea too, I was willing to give it a shot. Both are wonderful topical antioxidants and even Origins could not offer both in one product.That was over a year ago and I have not gone back. In fact, I use the entire line of Avalon Vitamin C now. The cleansing milk, facial serum, balancing toner and this cream. My skin absolutely glows like never before, my dry-as-the-desert skin problem is resolved, I never have breakouts and I look forward to my regimen every night and morning.
Oh! The scent of this product is great. It is a clean citrus smell that does not linger too long just perfect for feeling refreshed.

I love the smell of this facial cleanser a refreshing orange scent that wakes you up (and is nice even at night!).But I really started using it because it met my criteria for "healthy" beauty products.This product has no parabens and no sodium lauryl/laureth sulfates, and it is compliant with the EU Cosmetics Directive (much more stringent than our own FDA regulations for chemicals in beauty products.It is not, in face, a completely organic product, though at the top of the ingredient list are organic lavender, chamomile, and white tea.A small amount lathers well, and my face feels so clean after I use it.The only reason I don't give it five stars is that it does contain benzyl alcohol and some other "unnatural" compounds, but this will still remain in my rotation.

I have bought this product for years, they just changed it and you can see the word NEW on the packaging.The product is so white and the texture is so thick now that you will feel like you are spreading white glue on your face and you look like a clown with white face.
I wrote to the company but did not get any response. They also changed the formula of their serum and it is really bad, in fact you can check other review about their NEW line and figure it out.
I am very disappointed as I really like the product the way it used to be and now will need to find something else.

()I am obsessed with having a clean face before bed and again in the morning before I apply fresh makeup so I am always happy to try new facial cleansers.I had never before heard of the Simple SkinCare line but dealing with the skin condition Rosacea for years it is imperative that I use products geared toward sensitive skin.This 5 oz bottle is the standard "upside down" storing squeeze bottle most facial cleansing manufacturers have adopted.The front of the bottle states there are 2 vitamins, 1 skin loving nutrient, and 0 perfumes or dyes.Reading the ingredient list, I am not sure which is which.Here are the ingredients in the order they are listed:
Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Decyl Glucoside, Cocomidopropyl Betaine, PEG-55 Propylene Glycol Oleate, Propylene Glycol, Panthenol, TocopherylAcetate, Bisabolol, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Oil, Glycol Distearate, Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate, Polyquaternium-39, Laureth-10, Cocomide MEA, Sodium Chloride, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Disodium EDTA, Dipropylene Glycol, Methylparaben.
Wow.So much for being "simple".Sounds like an entire science lab is in this product.I had never heard of Anthemis Nobilis Flower Oil so I looked it up.It is a common ingredient in "natural" products as it is derived from the Anthemis Nobilis flower (in the Chamomile family so take heed if you are allergic to Chamomile).The Pelargonium Graveolens Oil is what is used to make geranium oil and has a rose scent.That might be all nice and natural sounding but I can't get past the second ingredient being Sodium Laureth Sulfate.This and its cousin Sodium Lauryl Sulfate are BAD for your skin.Over the past year I have stopped using any products that contain them.Please do a Googlesearch for them and you will see what I am talking about.Now, stepping down from my soapbox I will simply tell you how the product worked.
It is a pearly white color and has a nice smooth texture that comes out of the bottle easily.I applied it directly to my face with my hands as directed.It cleaned well (removing all traces of makeup) and had a nice pleasant subtle Rose scent.It rinsed off fairly easy but not as well as I would have liked.I noticed the next morning after washing my face again with Simple that my face was a bit itchy.I am not sure if there is something in the product's many ingredients that I am allergic to or if the cleanser combined with my moisturizer was the problem.So, I am going to experiment again with only putting my moisturizer on one side of my face after cleansing.
I guess if you are not concerned about ingredients like SLES (Sodium Laureth) and SLS (Sodium Lauryl) then it is a product worth trying.I won't recommend it however unless they reformulate and remove the Sodium Laureth Sulfate.
EDIT 12/24/11:I tested the cleanser regarding the itching issue and it seems that there is something in it that is not combining well with the ingredients in my moisturizer (Olay brand).I haven't encountered that problem with other facial cleansers and my moisturizer.
()While I didn't toally dislike this facial wash, I wasn't overly enthused about it either.
It is a typical, basic face cleanser. Creamy, lathers well and rinses well. It has a very light scent. I have to be picky with what I use on my face as my skin doesn't like alot of products, but this one caused no irritations.
As for the "moisturizing" claim, I don't feel that this product was moisturizing at all. During the winter I get dry spots/patches on my face. After using this cleanser for several weeks, I saw no difference in those dry areas. The cleanser did not add any moisturization. Honestly though, that is ok because I use a moisturizer anyway and I do not rely on a cleanser to add moisture, BUT if it claims to do something, you should see at least some sort of proof of those claims. I do use other cleansers particularly in the winter which do better at keeping my skin moisturized and minimizing the dry spots and redness.
I didn't notice any other spectacular or amazing effects.. no glowing skin, no diminished wrinkles or anything else. No decrease in the seasonal redness or dry patches. Again, I wasn't expecting those things either, but just pointing out the fact that this is your regular everyday cleanser, with no added benefits.
I wouldn't necessarily advise against buying this cleanser, but I also would not specifically recommend it. It is ok for the price, but there are others in the price range for sensitive skin which have better results.

()Some reviewers question the list of ingredients, but most facial washes have a long list of unpronounceable ingredients. Just because they sound weird, doesn't make them bad. So unless you're a chemist or a dermatologist, don't assume that it's bad.
At least one reviewer gave the product bad marks because you can't put it around your eyes. Lots of facial soaps/cremes make similar warnings. That doesn't make this a lousy product. It's not called, "Eye cleaner" or "Eye moisturizer." It's for the face. While the eyes are part of the face, it's a special part that is super sensitive, which is why there are special products just for that.
Overall, this product is quite good and delicate. Is it the best thing ever? No, but I'm happy with it and probably most people would be too.

I quit using my Neutrogena Transparent Facial Bar, Acne-Prone Skin Formula, (Neutrogena Transparent Facial Bars, Acne-Prone Skin Formula, 3.5 Ounce (Pack of 2)) and I continued using the Olay Cleansing System.However, I substituted the Simple Wash for the Olay Cleanser.Ounce per ounce, the Simple Wash is half the price of the Olay Cleanser.Therefore, it is definitely more economical.Also, the Simple Wash can be easily ordered through Amazon if not readily available in department stores.A product that is highly popular in England, the Simple Wash has just recently been introduced into the United States.
I have posted some photographs of the Simple Wash on this web site.It arrived in a five-ounce tube without a box or any paperwork.Instructions and all ingredients are printed on the back of the tube, which, for safety reasons, had a cap that was sealed with plastic.The ingredients are too many to list here; however, many of them are also used in the Olay Cleanser.This led me to believe that the Simple Wash also exfoliates the skin.
I have faithfully used the Simple Wash for ONE MONTH.I normally use it to wash my face at least twice a day, in the morning while preparing to go to work and at night before retiring to bed.I also use it before attending a social event.I have not experienced any allergic reactions such as rashes, blisters, hives, etc.Basically, the Simple Wash is fragrance free.It does not have an overwhelming flowery fragrance that some people might find offensive.However, if I raise a small dab of it to my right nostril, I do smell a slight odor.My Olay Cleanser smells similar and it is also advertised as fragrance free.
A little does go a long way. I only use a small pearl-drop of the Simple Wash on my hands before rubbing it on my face.The amount of lather produced will depend upon the amount of Simple Wash used.(The five-ounce tube should last me at least two to three months.)For the first two weeks, my skin was slightly dry and taut.I had to rub into my face a small amount of Suave Body Lotion, Vitamin E, (Suave Body Lotion, Vitamin E, 32-Ounce (Pack of 2)) in order to give it some moisture.However, eventually my skin must have grown accustomed to the Simple Wash and became noticeably smoother, softer and refreshed.Despite this winter's strange up-and-down temperatures in Chesapeake, VA, my complexion, thanks to the Simple Wash, is looking quite good.I don't have any red, dry patches around the corners of my nose or mouth.
If you are a man or woman who is searching for an economical facial cleanser that performs well at exfoliating skin, then I highly recommend you try the Simple Moisturizing Facial Wash.It is less than half the price of the Olay Professional Pro-X Exfoliating Renewal Cleanser and works just as well, if not better. i bought this product after having success with other simple products. i have normal but very sensitive skin but i am not acne prone, but when a product is too harsh my face will develop a very irritated itchy rash. usally because of this i approch skincare items with caution but because simple clams to be "the simple skin experts" i used this all over my face.first i noticed a bit of a rash around my eyes thinking it was my makeup i rewashed my face, within a few hours my entire face was was stingy and itchy by the morning one of my eyelids was swollen and my entire face was covered in white bumps
this also broke my sister out who has dry less sensitive skin
i hope this was a help full review I have tried many other simple products and this was the only one who had this horrible effect on my skin :)

Provides good coverage and evens out my skin tone. I have combination skin, so usually have to reapply a little by the afternoon. It's a great product and it travels easily.... however, the package design is also a negative beacause even if I am trying to be careful, this powder foundation ends up on my clothes. It usually brushes off easily or I use a little water, but it's still annoying. Just be careful! It's kind of hard to tap the extra powder off the brush and not get it on you, so that's why I gave it only 3 stars, but the powder itself is more like a 4.Save 25% Off

I am probably a little young to start using this cream, but I love it.I have always tried to take great care of my skin.I got this cream in a Gift with Purchase.It also came with the eye cream.I could visibly see results the next morning.My skin felt tighter and somewhat lifted.I would give this product a 10 all the way.I have worked for several makeup lines and this is by far the best that I ever worked for.I no longer work in the cosmetic world, but if I ever went back, Lancome would be it for sure.

Left a heavy film on my skin, seemed to clog my pores, I felt and smelled "aged". My skin started visably sagging and I smelled like a 90 year old woman. You know that chemical baby powder smell? Yeah......All for $75! I know quality products cost more and am willing to pay when they work but not when I feel like I'm putting drug store cold cream on my face. I ended up tossing half the jar---no other product has ever made my skin look as poor as this did. Went back to Eminence products and saw immediate improvement, might try Laura Mercier at some point but I am turned off from Lancome for life!

I decided to try this product after several skin disasters.I have pretty fair skin and my face is super sensitive to chemicals in sunscreens.I've tried several brands, and my face would be itchy the next day and then train wreck into a peeling/burning/scale-y skin mess.It would ruin my face for about 2 weeks which is no fun.I was going to try the "all natural" route of sunscreens, but found that they were way too expensive and most are not water-resistant.This product has no odor, does an awesome job at protecting my skin from sunburn and it doesn't make my face angry!For those that say these types of sunscreens make you look "white," maybe you're using too much of the product.The other reviewer was right, a little does go a long way.It did rub in all the way so I didn't have problems with having that white tint I've heard of.I will buy and use this every summer!
I was looking over the EWG site and noticed this on there and decided to give it a try. It is a great product, nice and light on the face, not too greasy. Just remember a little goes a long way.
My husband and I wore this all day working in the yard with no burns. The whiteness of the zinc didn't bother us, but like I said we are extremely fair and already pretty white so we didn't notice any white tone to our faces.

Works great for long hiking trips. It does sting a little if you get it in your eyes and you do have to really rub it in to make the white color disappear, but I think that's why it works so well.Another bonus is that it doesn't make my skin break out, like other sunscreens do.
I did have to wait an additional two weeks for this product but it was worth it.

This is probably my favorite face sunscreen I have ever used. Good protection, goes on easy and doesnt just sit on surface actually gets into skin for longer protection. I use this while cutting the grass but I would trust it at the beach. You have to take the time to work it in. It's not like lotion that just disappears into your skin, maybe that's why it works so well.I have not used this product with midday sun so my experience is minimal.

Great step 1 tanning lotion. It give a great base and almost natural tan. It does smell nice, nothing to strong.
Step 2 is way better as it has tingles and gets you even tanner. This does increase your tan but I have several people tell me it smells horrible. It has an easy pump but it does not last very long....but keep in mind these are usually sold in salons for triple the price.

I bought this lotion at my local tanning salon, I was told it was the best lotion to use. I used it and it does in fact accerlerate your tan, however, it leaves an orange tint behind. I got compliments that I was tan, but "a different kind of tan". My skin is olive and usually tans a nice dark brown, and tanning without the lotion I have lost the orange tint. If you do not mind having a little orange tint then it will boost your tan and does not smell as bad as other rival lotions.

I had no complaints about L'Occitane products I've been using for the last nine months until this problem with bleach spots where the product splashed on my shirt lapel.The product hardens slightly at the nozzle and when I pressed a little harder, a small spray of product bounced off my hand onto my blouse and left a half dozen small but noticeable light spots where it landed, even though within 20 seconds I rinsed it thoroughly with water and then washed with a drop of dish soap.I put it into the soak cycle in the wash then used regular laundry products on perma-press cycle, but the lapel still has light spots where the product landed.The blouse is ruined.$54 for this product that claims to be all natural, yet appears to contain benzoyl peroxide from its rapid bleaching action.Bummer.

This is an excellent product.I've been using this for almost a year now, and will continue to buy it.I have read the other two reviews, and my experience with it is far more favorable.I was looking for a fluid, non oily sunscreen to use under my mineral makeup or under my Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer.This turned out to be perfect.It has a milky consistency (not oily) and absorbs almost immediately and leaves a smooth finish (not sticky or oily).It does have a brightening effect after application.Any kind of makeup can be applied over it.It has SPF 40, which is very difficult to find. I am a 22 y/o African American woman with deep brownskin. (think of Kelly Rowland or Gabrielle Union complexions) Recently I have been focusing all ny attention on getting flawless, radiant skin. The lighter your skin(like me)the longer could take.I have been using this product for months because by experience I know that Hydroquinone works.It comes in a 4% prescription strenght which it works much faster but usually doctors are reluctant to prescribe it.I discover Nadinola by chance with a 3% concentration so I bought it to compare which is better.Both cost around the same....The reason I gave this product 3 stars is because the results are slow and I also understand that for 5 to 7 dollars that's ok....

I have caramel colored skin and have a lot of scars from KP (keratosis pilaris) aka chicken skin.I bought this after seeing the commercial and wanted to give it a try.Turns out, it does work!I've been using it for 3 weeks now.I'll say this:
1. For the darker, newer scars, they've either lightened greatly, or are gone.
2. For the darker, older scars, the've lightened very well, and MUCH faster than usual.
3. for the lighter, newer scars, they were gone first, in about a week in a half.
4. For the lighter, older scars, those are taking the most time, but I'm not surprised.
Here's some things you'll need to know.For one, you'll need to get a buff brush, loofah, anything like that with a mix or if you have sensitive skin, exfoliating body wash.Why?Those stuff gets the skin dirty fast!I wash every day, but I started getting black heads like crazy because of something this stuff does to the pores.So there's two things to this.Besides needing it to combat the black heads, the more dead skin cells you wash off the fast it works.To also combat the black heads get some benzoyl peroxide.I'm using 10% as is for the KP, and the higher the level, the faster the black head go away.
Also, my skin glows (hate to use that word, but its the best word to use) and is much softer.
The smell isn't that bad either, goes away after bout 20 mins, but even when smelling it its ok.
No product out there gets immediate results, no matter how much we wish it, but this does work really well without any peeling or redness.
I also wanted to say, I don't jus use it one my face, but on my arms, chect and legs and it works on all areas, just a little slower though.

I bought this through drugstore.com because I had a credit (for those who might notice I'm not a certified buyer from amazon)I've had sunspot on my cheek for some years now, it's about the size of a dime and is always at least somewhat noticeable even with makeup caked over it.
I have fair skin so most imperfections are obvious but after a few years and a lot of outside activities it was getting worse. I'm not sure where I heard about this stuff but I decided I've blown money on dumber things so I'd give it a go.
Conclusion: I am actually having a lot of luck with it. I've had it for a month or two and the spot is easy to cover and even uncovered its much less noticeable.
I don't use it regularly, if I have to work I won't put it on in the morning because it takes a bit of time to dry well enough that my makeup can go over it, it also smears onto my pillow a lot because I forget and don't put in on until right before I lay down. Even with my sporadic use it works well on my skin and it's not too much so I would say it's worth it to try.

The product itself; the mineral powder, is great, but the application DESIGN is so flawed its almost unusable. You have to take off the top, unscrew the brush applicator which is connected to the container of minerals, turn the brush upside to pat into the top of the minerals...well...every time the powder is stuck on the underside of the brush applicator...spilling everywhere. Getting powder on the brush is difficult because there is always a surplus of powder you DONT want. Expect to have powder on your clothes, your face, your chair, anywhere around you. EXTREMELY MESSY APPLICATORS!!!!! I'm very disappointed with the application of a very good product.
(as for the blush and the translucent powder, i don't really use either)
