Alba Kids Sunblock SPF 45, 4-Ounce Tubes (Pack of 2)

I chose this product because we have a 7 month old baby & a 10 year old with fair skin. we are generally outside on the weekends and we love the beach. After reading an article published by the Environmental Working Group on sunscreen toxicity, I decided to go with a more natural product. Alba Botanica Kids SPF 45 gets a 5 on their scale which puts it smack in the middle. This rating seems based primarily on their assessment that the UVA/UVB protection. The EWG found that this product provides quite a bit more UVB protection than UVA. That said, it has all vegetarian ingredients, the bulk of which are deemed safe by the EWG, and Alba does not test on animals. It is also free of parabens.

On first application there is a pleasant cucumber scent, and the texture of the lotion is very generous a little goes a long way. To my relief it does not leave the skin feeling tacky or sticky. It seems to absorb quickly, and after it is applied there's a familiar sunscreen scent.

So far we have found it to be droolproof, and quite sweat proof. It did not irritate our baby's skin or eyes, since he rubs his eyes when he's tired, I've been particularly wary of eye irritation.

If you are in and out of the water, it will need to be reapplied a couple of times during the day, but for regular outdoor activities it holds up very well on the entire family. And hey, it's the official sunscreen of the New York Mets!

Overall a solid product that does what it claims and seems a good value.

Celazome Moisturizing Sunscreen SPF 30 UVA/UVB Protection 4 fl oz / 114 g

Take it from someone with pale, oily, acne-prone, extremely sensitive skin with Rosacea -this is a superb moisturizer. It is neither oily nor greasy and does NOT cause breakouts, aggravate existing conditions or let the sun get in. Stays on your skin like stink on a monkey. It's also very, very light weight for all the work it does. I've been using it for years and every time I switch to something else, either it has no sunscreen or is too thick and oily for my skin. I highly, highly recommend this product.

I LOVE this sunscreen for its durabilty (1 application lasts all day) & moisturizing properties. I apply this sunblock once & I can spend all day at the beach without burning, even in the intense Caribbean sun on vacation.

I gladly order a bottle of this every year or two & don't care about the price. It's twice the cost of drugstore sunblock but 10X better than those. The drugstore brands (which I've tried most of) either wash off, wear away, smell bad, or otherwise feel like I've film-wrapped my skin...it's hard to describe the feeling.

Celazome has no odor, applies like a (thick) lotion but spreads easily enough, moisturizes my skin but doesn't leave it feeling greasy or tight, protects all day, & a small 4oz bottle lasts all summer or two (depending on how frequently I sunbathe). If I have any left over after 2 yrs I tend to discard the remainder & purchase a fresh bottle. It doesn't take much to apply all over & there's no need to reapply (unless you choose to but it's unnecessary).

It's especially great for face these days my facial skin is drier & more delicate, & this lotion gives it a moisturizing boost. When I used to have oily greasy skin, this lotion also didn't break out my face (I used to suffer with acne, so this was a worry for me). The finish is a bit dewy, so if you want a matte look you should blot gently with a tissue or apply some powder.

My skin burns easily before it starts to tan & I'm always nervous my first few outings in summer sun because of bad sunburns in the past. But with Celazome I found that I never have to worry about burning, because I know it won't happen. And I depend on this stuff after I get facial peels reliable sunscreen is a definite must!

Love this stuff! It used to be called Lyphazome, now called Celazome, but whatever name it goes by it's an A+ product!

Loreal Paris Sublime Bronze One-Day Tinted Gel -3 Pack

I have been using self tanners for 20 years, everything from Estee Lauder to Banana Boat and this stuff is my fav! True, it's not really a self-tanner, more of a skin stain, BUT it does not streak like regular tanners and lasts about 3 days if you don't exfoliate it off in the shower.

It truly fades much more evenly than other bronzers and is less streaky if applied like I do. Also, have you ever applied a self-tanner and then accidentally dripped water on yourself? Streaky, drippy city. NOT this stuff. Once it dries, you're good. No worries about someone splashing you at the pool or getting rained on. (Talk about embarrassing. "Excuse me, is that your tan running down the rain gutter?" HA.)

Here is the best way to apply it:

Get yourself some cheap rubber gloves (the kind for doing dishes, about $3) and cut them off at the wrist. Wear them to apply this Bronzer and you will save your palms from turning dark! Wash gloves when you are done and save them for the next time.

This stuff also works great if you mix a little bit of moisturizer lotion with it for dry areas like knees.

I just hope they don't discontinue this...if so I am buying a case!

I got this today and was super excited to try it. I am already very tan from using a tanning bed but I that and going the safe way but my point is im very dark and this stuff made me darker! very easy to apply, dries fast and smells like baby powder so over all a plesent smell. Im not sure about how this shows up in the natural light but from what i see it looks very bronze not orange but that could be because of how tan i am already. I will be letting my sister try out a bottle. she is extremely pale so this will prove the worth of the product!

Found this product just as they were discontinuing it.It's too bad, because I love it!I am very fair, and I like to be able to get a "glow" without the hassle of instant tanners (orange hands, waiting for it to work, etc.).Plus I can see how it looks as soon as I apply, and there's the option to wash it off immediately if needed.

The tan doesn't come off with normal day-to-day activities, even with sweating or if it rubs against clothes.But...the downside is it comes off if you go swimming.

While I worked there so many women came in saying that they have skin cancer yet hopped right into the tanning bed anyway. i stopped tanning. i found an awesome self tanner that is amazing but its a pain to put on every few days so i figured with this i can put it on when i pt on my lotion after my showers. this stains your hands SO BADLY! its hard to spread onto your skin. This product was recommended to me by my surgeon to help protect a healing scar I have under my left eye. I surf a lot and get a lot of sun from that, so I also needed a sunblock that is waterproof. Other sunblocks I have used that are supposedly waterproof have been too oily and the water caused it to get into my eyes which would sting. The skinceuticals sport uv defense spf 45 works well. My dermatologist gave me a sample of this product and said she likes it because of the zinc oxide. Either way, I was skeptical as always with sunblocks (esp. those with higher SPF), because even the top brands are either too greasy-feeling and leave my face super shiny even when they are "oil-free," or leave a whitish tint that makes me look like a ghost or like I'm wearing make-up two shades lighter than my complexion. Anyway, not only does this product leave zero residue and shininess, my skin absorbs it immediately. No waiting around to apply my face powder when I'm in a rush. I've worn sunscreen religiously for many years, but recently had to give up wearing any that contain avobenzone, which is common in over the counter sunblocks. I can't even have it on my face without my eyes burning, and if any gets into my eyes they get red and irritated immediately.

So, after reading reviews, I decided to try this zinc oxide based Skinceuticals cream instead.

The good news is, it's much less irritating to the eyes than other creams I've tried. It does have a fairly thick consistency and leaves a whitish film when first applied, but absorbs fairly well after about half an hour.

My problem with this product is that after wearing it about a week, I noticed an increase in whiteheads the type that form under the skin and can't be gotten rid of easily. Worse than that, my skin began to flake and peel. After 3 weeks of applying it daily, I am giving up on it the flaking and peeling have become really severe.

From the other reviews, it appears that most people tolerate Skinceuticals well, but if you have sensitive skin that breaks out easily this may not be the best choice for you.

I had been wanting a different glycolic acid product, so when I read a favorable review of this stuff, I had to try it.

I use it as the lotion over any other acne prevention products I use each morning, and it's a very nice product. It feels smooth going on and really moisturized my face. I haven't particularly noticed the benefits from the glycolic acid, at least not the way I have from previous glycolic acid products, but it is a very useful face lotion. It feels extremely gentle and smooth, and it has a nice subtle scent. Unfortunately, layered over my over acne products, it does look a little 'shiny' or 'oily,' but as the weather is changing and getting colder/dryer, I'm noticing the shine less and less. I might just make this a 'fall/winter' product, and try to find something else for the summer to ease the shine on my sadly oily face.

This is a good cream, but it has a slightly unpleasant odor, and is slightly greasy.In addition it doesn't last as long as it should for its moisture factor.

In the early days of having our baby boy, we were probably a little overzealous in keeping him clean. We were bathing him two to three times a day. Our pediatrician remarked that he looked a little dried out. She said that ordinarily the baby needed be bathed only once a day and she recommended using moisturizing lotion every day. I'm not certain of this, but I think she recommended the Aveeno Baby Daily Moisture Lotion. In any case, we started using it (on the basis of someone's advice)and have been using it ever since.

Our baby has had no skin problems at all, except for a minor amount of diaper rash, which is to be expected. I'd say this is a testimony to the quality of the Aveeno product. I put it on my hands and give him a rub down every evening and he loves it. Personally, its a nice lotion and I like the general lack of any significant scent. As a secondary effect, my hands seem to be in exceptionally good condition.

after buying this lotion i decided whats the big difference if i buy the walgreens brand that says to compare the ingredients to this product. what a mistake. trying to save a few extra bucks i ended up wasting 6 because i havent picked it up again and i went out and bought another nuetrogena. the generic felt caked on and like i had put on suncreen that was thick and wouldnt let my skin breathe.

Oh, and the best part of all is that my super cheap boyfriend came out of the bathroom one morning holding the bottle and said to me "I dont care how much this costs this is what we are buying from now on"

I've been using this product since November 2011, and has about 1/3 of the bottle left. I've tried many other moisturizers from Olay Combination Skin Moisturizer (watery consistency, and greasy on my face causing breakouts), to high end products such as Shiseido and Lancome, none of which gave me the same smooth, matte, and oil controled skin as I do with this product. I started using it after digging through my boyfriend's medicine cabinet one day when I ran out of my own moisturizer, and realized that it's the best kept skin secret I've yet to discover. The BAD:

-Not good for long periods of oil control

Although it's advertised as the combination skin formula, this moisturizer doesn't do a great job of controlling shine. My face (T-zone) get oily 2-3 hours after I've washed it, so I was looking for a light weight moisturizer to help reduce shine. This stuff works well for a few hours and keeps my skin looking "normal" for 3-4 hours. Beyond that and it's not effective. In fact, once the oil production has ramped up, this stuff makes my face look more oily than before. The moisturizer seems to mix with the oil to create a wonderfully glossy look. Not what I'm going for. The good news is that there is no annoying smell and it does a good job of moisturizing.

Recommended: Sure, but there are probably better (though more expensive) products.

This is a tinted SPF moisturizer that I can like. I've tried so many and they are often greasy or too dark, or too sheer, or the wrong color...This one blends into my skin without being visible, just faintly smoothing out my skin tone without looking or feeling like liquid cover makeup. It can get a touch greasy in really hot weather, but compared to standard sunscreen, it's actually less tacky/oily and more comfortable. I will be repurchasing this one.

Murad Essential-C Day Moisture SPF 30 Facial Treatment Products

I am not one of those women that likes to shop, so my sister was kind enough to inquire at some beauty store about the dark spots on my face (mostly scaring from picking at acne) and the fact that I have extremely sensitive skin. So much so that I usually just wash my face with plain water as the majority of cleansers irritate and/or burn my skin.

The store recommended the Murad Environmental Shield Essential-C line. My sister gave me the starter kit for my birthday.

I was skeptical, but figured I would give it a try. None of the products burned or irritated my skin in the following days, so I kept using the products. In less than a week, I noticed a lot of my spots were fading and that some were completely *gone*!

My husband actually noticed and said that I looked like I was glowing -his word, not mine. He then asked if I was wearing makeup, which I never wear as it irritates my skin really bad. My birthday starter kit lasted about a month, and the results were so incredible that I decided to purchase the full size of each item and continue to use them. The Murad site is outrageously expensive, so I was happy to find the items on Amazon for a much cheaper price.

I would definitely recommend the Murad Environmental Shield Essential-C line to anyone with extremely sensitive skin. It's wonderful!

This seller sent me this product that looks like a tester from some department store.The container didn't come with the box, has a scan sticker which looks like a department store sticker at the back of the bottle, a nail scratch mark which looks like a label has been removed at the front of the bottle, and the product is not full and when I open the bottle, the product were all over the tip of the tube which looks like it has been used.I won't be ordering anything from this seller again.

I love everthing about Murad Essential-C Day Moisturizer but the price.It has a very pleasant, orange fragrance (what else should vitamin C smell like?), it's virtually weightless, and it leaves my skin feeling fantastic. I was introduced to it when I was going through microdermabrasion.My aesthetician told me the vitamin C promotes cell turnover, which gets rid of older, dull cells faster, giving your skin a healthier appearance.To be honest, I'm not sure this product is really doing that much more for my skin than less expensive moisturizers, but I do like it better than any moisurtizer I've used in the past and will likely purchase it again when this one is gone.Even though my wallet sighs heavily when I do say that.The price is the only reason I didn't give five stars.

I receieved this product on time the first time I ordered it from Omni Solutions but it had come in a Murad box sealed when I took the product out of the box it was the wrong product in the sealed box.I returned it no problem.Received the replacement product right on time.The problem was that I used it for 1 week (I have always used this product) and my face starting breaking out so bad I took the moisturizer to a Murad local salon and come to find out the smell and color of the product were wrong.I believe the product I got in the second sealed box was fake and that is why the color, smell and my face broke out.I purchased the same product from the retailer the same day and my face all of a sudden cleared up.I will never again order from Omni Solutions.

I love this product!It's a great moisturizer, excellent sun protectant (SPF 30) and makeup fluid...all in one step!I appreciate that in the morning when time is of the essence.It goes a long way, requiring a very small amount to cover the entire face and the tube lasts several months using it once daily. Love love love jan marini... this product is authentic and I am so glad i found it on amazon for this price. jan marini sunscreen is the best, thin layer that adds extra moisture to your skin. i usually use the regular sunscreen with no tint but i could only find this sunscreen in the new packaging. I have fair skin and the sunskissed neutral is perfect-the tint just blends in perfectly and leaves an amazing glow to my skin. not to mention the amazing protection against uva and uvb rays.
