I have very sensitive, combination (or just confused?) skin that burns so fast that my darker-skinned friends actually laugh at me.This is one of (if not the) best sunscreen I've ever used.
While it does moisturize a little, it's not enough for me to use on its own; I use a brilliant serum (also too little to do the job on its own) first, then a little moisturizer on the parts that tend to flake and get dry, then this. What I love about this is that you can pump out too much and still apply it all over your face and it will all sink it.Also, it feels light (well, it actually feels like nothing) so you feel like your skin can breathe.Lastly, even though it really works perfectly, you don't have to spend any time at all rubbing and rubbing forever to get the white away. And you don't end up with build up.It seems to make my skin look nicer somehow--a little more even. And I've notice that my skin's been looking better since starting to use it--meaning fewer clogged pores, more glow and even tone.
I typically am inside working during the day punctuated by maybe a total of an hour in the car (Southwest US--lots of clear, sunny days). This is plenty to protect me from that.I'm using it with stuff to help fade out some of the sunspots I picked up from years of lax sunscreen use, and it does the trick. While I might switch to something else with a higher SPF or more opaque (and as always, reapplied regularly) if I were going to be out in the sun for hours at a music festival or something, I will say that I wore this camping (with lots of sun exposure) for two days and didn't get even a hint of color--tan or burn.Which is just how I like it!
The only other sunblock that even comes close to this is Keyes, but I think that this wins out due to the no-rubbing-in part.Love.
6/24/11 UPDATE: I wore this on my face for 6 days of camping and music festival (meaning, standing outside all day with no shade) at 10,000 feet, and I got NO color at all!It is so amazing!I admit it's kind of drying on its own, but I slathered one pump over my moisturizer each morning--didn't even reapply--and I was good to go.

I have been using this as part of my daily skin care regime for almost 2 years. This very light-weight product absorbs quickly without that "beachy" smell which is so annoying unless you really are at the beach or poolside. It doesn't leave your face oddly white like some sunscreens do and best of all, it's not greasy and heavy. I have combination skin which means oily with dry patches. This sunscreen is the only one I've found that doesn't leave a greasy or sticky residue which would interfere with my mineral make-up. Brush glides across my skin nicely as long as I don't try to apply the minerals immediately after applying the sunscreen, before it's completely absorbed. Doesn't break out my sensitive, acne-prone skin, either, as many facial sunscreens do. I wouldn't recommend it as a stand-alone moisturizer if you are extremely dry. But if you are looking for a nice facial sunscreen that actually absorbs and won't leave your face looking Armor-Alled give this a try!Read Best Reviews of Eltamd UV Daily SPF 40, 48-Gram 1.7 Ounce Here
THis product feels great on my skin overall but since I already have dry, sensitive skin it may not be the best for me. Around my mouth, my skin's been very dry. To a point where it starts peeling off. I used this instead of a moisturizer and no other products. It might be that it just takes a while for my skin to get used to it, it's been a few weeks now and it's getting betterI purchased three Elta MD sunscreens and they are all excellent. As far as I can tell, they protect me from the sun's stray rays of radiation--I don't spend time in the sun and I wear hats with curtains. I depend on sunscreens to keep me shielded from incidental UV.I purchased the sunscreens without moisturizer, with moisturizer, and tinted.
