Solar Sense SPF# 50 Clear Zinc Sport 5 oz. Tube (Case of 6)

Solar Sense SPF# 50 Clear Zinc Sport 5 oz. TubeMy wife and I windsurf over 100 days per year, and she has had particular trouble finding a sunblock that is sweat and water resistant. Although EWG does not rate Solar Sense as being without potential chemical problems with free oxidants, I assume because of their use of vitamin A (retinyl palmitate), we have seen a noticeable difference in the surface of her skin since she started using Solar Sense early in July. Not only does it very effectively block sunburn, rougher areas of her skin that were clearly somewhat sun damaged have become noticeably smoother. So for ease and pleasantness of application, durability in the water and sun while being very active, and for sunburn protection, this has proved to be a great product. We just can't speak to the invisible free radical generation and it's long term effects. TruKid seems to be the only water resistant, sport product that EWG says is low in this area, but it's about 3 times the cost. So until more definitive studies are released, we're staying with Solar Sense.
