Alba Botanica Natural Mineral Oil Free Sunblock

I noticed a few reviewers saying that their product was messy and separated. This might be because wherever you bought it from, the product was sitting around, unused, for a loooong time. If this happens to you, try to get a refundthat is not how this product is supposed to look!

Okay, so I decided to pick this stuff up at a local grocery store. I really loved the high percentage of Zinc Oxide (12%) and it also had Titanium Dioxide (1%). If you like sunscreens without a lot of active "chemical" ingredients (IEAvobenzone, etc), then this is a great line of sunscreens for you! I use it on my body every day to prevent freckling and burning. I think, for that, it works great.

It is a bit greasy, but not as bad as some sunscreens I've tried. This stuff is great if you're going to be out swimming, or working outside, where the greasiness doesn't matter.

I do love Alba's Mineral sunscreen line, but there's one little issue with this one in particularthe smell.

I would hesitate to call it "aloe vanilla", because, well, to me, it smells more like Play-Doh with a hint of flowers. It is quite strong, too, and will leave the smell on your clothes. It tends to linger for a whilein my experience, longer than most sunscreens. Great if you want to smell like Play-Doh, but I don't, so I'll be checking out their unscented variety.

If you don't mind the smell, however, check it out.

I ordered this product as I am looking for more natural sunblock to use on my family. Imagine my surprise when I unwrapped the box, opened the tube and a bunch of smelly, dirty brown water came out! I thought perhaps I just needed to shake it up really good. I opened it again more nasty brown water came pouring out. This is the worst disappointment I have had in an amazon purchase.

I'm sure this product does what it is meant to do, but the strong jasmine fragrance is quite overwhelming. Once you spread it on, you will notice it doesn't disappear right away, so keep rubbing until it does. It washes off your hands quickly and easily without being greasy.

Bought this product to take with me while on vacation. I wanted a product without harsh chemicals...it was terrible.When I opened it to apply it I expected a cream...instead I got this liquid that squirted out of the bottle...ugh! The liquid separated from the brown gel like substance. It was a mess! Will not buy this ever again!
