A single application has protected me just fine for longer three to four hour afternoon kickball games. Users should remember, however, not to apply this sparingly. A full fluid ounce, that is an eighth of a tube, is need to cover an adult's exposed body parts for sunbathing.
Since I am normally in shorts and t-shirt while running, I get away with a half-ounce, but still, you gotta put this stuff on thick.
NB, I wouldn't recommend this product for daily facial use. For that you should get something lighter and oil-free.The key to effectively using this product is application BEFORE leaving the air conditioned confines of your house or hotel room.Apply it liberally and wait ~30 minutes before going outside.
I see people make three mistakes with sunscreen:
1. "But I want to get some tan" these people sit in sun from noon to 2PM then apply sunscreen.Too late they're already burned.Nothing short of aluminum foil stops all tanning.
2. Failure to follow directions and reapply.Especially important around neck and nose where collars and fingers rub.
3. Failure to apply to tops of feetouch that's painful..
This product doesn't cause my skin to break out and has provided many years of satisfactory service while wade fishing, kayaking, and playing water volleyball.Other products (Coppertone Sport) clog pores and burn eyes.Bannana Boat Sport line isn't greasy and won't burn your eyes.

I trusted this sunblock to protect me on a kayak trip. Both my husband and I were slathered in this sunscreen, and we both got horrible sunburns. We're still pink and it's been a week.Read Best Reviews of Banana Boat Sport Sunblock Lotion, SPF 50, 8-Ounce Tubes (Pack of 2) Here
Being an avid outdoorsman, I've been through quite a few different sunblocks in pursuit of the ultimate sport lotion.Banana Boat was a huge letdown.
1.It is not "sweatproof."I know, I know 80 mins. sweat/water is all they are claiming, but I'm telling you it's much less than this. That 80 min. claim might hold true if you are sweating and NOTHING is coming in contact with your skin.More likely scenario, you sweat and clothing or something else rubs your skin bam, sunblock is gone. This turns into a thick, gooey type substance when sweat is added and you can see the mixture building up on your skin.
2.Dri/No slip formula.BS.This is the greasiest of al of the "sport" lotions I've tried. Not good for sports where any sort of grip is needed.
3.As some others have noted stings/burns your face. This is minimized by waiting until well after a shower to apply, but it still burns. This is definitely NOT good for faces. When it runs into your eyes (and it does) it will burn like the dickens. You've been warned.
Go for Hawaiian Tropic Sportand thank me later.Super grippy and doesn't run.Spreads on smooth and thick.

I use this for cycling in very hot and humid Atlanta weather.Despite the fact that I sweat alot, this stuff works very well. It is also very easy to apply and not greasy at all. I will buy it again.
