This is one of the best sunscreens all around.I have tried multiple sunscreen products from the EWG recommendation list and they are all horrible (california baby, badger).They are hard to spread and have a horrible odor.This one is great!It smells wonderful and spreads easily.I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a safe version of sunscreen for their children.

I've been poring over information and reviews about the most natural, non-toxic sunscreen available, without breaking the bank.This looked like one of the best options as far as reviews and $ went.I still wish more came in the bottle ;) however, here are the pros:

1. It has a nice smell, slightly citrus-y and maybe a hint of coconut, but light and nice.

2. It didn't feel thick or greasy (highly annoying).This means it'll last a bit longer because you don't have to use as much.

3. It did not cake on white (which I have experienced from other natural options such as Mercola's).When you rub it in, it leaves you the same color as you started, and not sticky.

4. Though it isn't sticky or greasy, it doesn't seem to dry out my skin (like some other natural options have).

For the more sun intense work days I have (living in Africa) this should do nicely.For everything else, I'll be fine with good old coconut oil.Thanks Livestrong for making a great product I hope in time it can get a bit more affordable too!

Want so much to love this. Great texture. Scent is mild and pleasant. It does NOT break us out or make our faces itch. It is PABA, paraben, phthalate & BPA free. It does have a slight white cast upon application but that quickly fades. But we tan in this. I cannot understand it. I am vigilant and regimented in reapplying. With the high concentration of zinc oxide (20%), I'd expect better performance. We did not even do beach time in this. It was just a summer afternoon, out & about for 2 hours. I think they need to add Titanium dioxide. It is not enough on its own. Too bad because it has SUCH a wonderful texture and goes on so nicely compared to a lot of other physical sunblocks. I will repurchase it to see if the one I got was just a bad batch but I will not trust it to a beach vacation or anything like that.

We've tried many of the all-natural chemical free sunscreens and found most to be thick and difficult to apply with one thing or another that didn't work for us. Badger was thick and hard to rub in. Mexitan has both titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, has a good texture but leaves white clumps unless you really rub hard right away. Kabana didn't work for us either; it left us feeling like we had a think coat on. California Baby good, but heavy, hard to rub in, and has the micronized titanium dioxide. Having so much disappointment with natural sunscreens, I myself started using Blue Lizard which is quick to apply, offers good sun protection, but isn't so natural.

Then we tried Thinkbaby and are very pleased. For us, Thinkbaby offers very good sun protection, absorbs easliy and does not leave you feeling greasy. It has a very nice texture and goes on smoothly with a light and pleasant scent. The only concern is with one the ingredient: "natural fragrance". What is that? A synthetic scent?

Having tried may sunscreens, in search of one we liked that is also rated well on the EWG as being safe and non-toxic, this is one of our favorites. We also just recently tried TruKid and like it too.

I was looking at Thinkbaby, California Baby, and Badger Baby sunscreen. All better sunscreens so it came down to ounces and price. Amazon was selling this w/ Prime-Badger was not sold under prime when I was making my purchase and California Baby was $3-$6 more then Badger and Thinkbaby. Thinkbaby also had a few more ounces for a similar price as Badger so Thinkbaby won since I had to buy 2, one for daycare and one for home use.

I used it today for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised.

My thoughts and the pros~

It wasn't thick/hard to put on as I imagined it would be

It was easy to apply and didn't leave her white. I didn't have a problem applying it like some of the other reviews.

It didn't leave an oily feel and since we won't use it often I'm not concerned about the cornstarch. Pure cornstarch will irritate skin but if mixed w/ something like coconut oil or sunscreen it's usually okay.

Safer then the mainstream kid sunscreen/scores well by safe mama/skin deep data base

I don't like the thinkbaby serving dishes but so far I like the sunscreen.

Had a pleasant/non-overpowering scent.
