Supergoop SPF 30+ Everyday UV Lotion

I am a product junkie who is slightly obsessive about toxicity and finding make-up, skin, and hair products that aren't going to end up killing me after long-term use.Needless to say, I visit the Environmental Working Group's cosmetics database when I'm looking to find something new to put on my skin or hair.Sunscreen has been a particularly frustrating search, especially when it comes to my two small children.Most of the "less-toxic" products I've tried over the past five years (rated 1 or 2 on the EWG site) are full of zinc and leave my children and I looking scary with that sickly white (and greasy) film everywhere.Don't even get me started on what that does to my daughter's fine hair...

While I still use California Baby on their bodies (I've figured out how much to use to be able to rub it in without leaving the ghostly glow), Supergoop has been a godsend for their little faces.It rubs in easily, isn't sticky or greasy, it is waterproof for up to 80 minutes (I'd have to double-check that, but I'm pretty sure that's it), and it received a low toxicity rating on the EWG database site.I've since purchased the 15 oz. pump (had to get it at Diapers.com because I needed it within two days and Amazon didn't carry it Prime) and my husband and I use it as our daily sunscreen.It also doesn't have any sort of detectable fragrance, which is also something that is very important to me.(I don't know about you, but I'm not into smelling like a pina colada as I tote my kiddos on summertime errands.)

I've been using Supergoop! for three months on my face and body and I have not encountered allergic or breakout issues. However, I did notice little rectangular flecks scattered across my body after applying the lotion (about 1 mm x 2 mm, clear color, looks like plastic film). I use two different bottles of Supergoop, this one and the 15 oz bottle, both have the flecks. It's annoying.
