()Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream is a skin moisturizer, sunscreen, and skin perfecting cream all in one. It claims it has 6 benefits to using it.I will address each one of the benefits in my review.When I squirted this on my hand, it looked just like foundation. I used the light to medium cream, so it blended well with my skin tone. The smell also was not fragrant, just a slight scent, but not overpowering. Here are the 6 benefits and my review of each one:1) Refreshes.This moisturizer is supposed to refresh your skin with 24 hour hydration. This claim is accurate. Every day I have used it, my skin has not felt as dry and looks better than it did.
2) Brightens. My skin tone has red blotches or just looks drab. It's mostly uneven. So whenever I use moisturizer, it seems to make it more red. The Olay moisturizer evened out my tones and made my skin look more healthy, so I would say that yes, this did brighten up my skin.
3)Evens tone. I talked about this in the last point, but my skin surely did look more even.
4)Hydrates. My skin feels less dry when I use this cream.However, I did notice that at times my skin also feels itchy. Not sure if this is something in the cream or the fact that it is working, but the itching seems annoying to me, but i have very sensitive skin and have not broke out from this cream.
5) Smooths. My skin does feel smoother and healthier.
6) Protects. I live in a very cold state with little sun except in the summer, so this remains to be seen. It contains SPF 15 in the moisturizer so we will see if it protects my skin in the summer.
The cream did not seem too greasy on my hands or face. It blended well in my skin and didn't leave an oily appearance. Neither did it dry out my skin.The only thing I didn't like about it is that my skin was itchy at times, but I never got a rash or break out from it.In fact, it did a really good job covering up any blemishes or blotches my skin might have shown.I like that I can just use this as a moisturizer, foundation, and sunscreen and not have to wait to put on my makeup.I like this product overall and would recommend it to my friends.

I had been wanting to try a BB cream for some time as they seem to be all the rage these days, so I was happy to have the opportunity to use and review this one by Olay. I am a BIG fan of Olay products--my bathroom is full of Olay lotions, eye creams, etc.--and generally find them to be high quality, useful products. Sadly, this one was a major disappointment.
I am a 60-year old woman and sun/age spots have become an issue for me. I very rarely use foundation, so I was hoping to get SOME level of coverage from this "skin perfecting" cream. What I got was thin, greasy cream that did absolutely nothing that I could see. There was little tint and little to no coverage.
Claims made on the packaging:
"Say bye-bye to blotches and imperfections and hello to instant skin-perfectin coverage."
"...blends effortlessly with your natural skin tone, helping hide imperfections and minizing the need for concealer and foundation."
As you will see in the video, my sun spots are just as noticeable AFTER using this BB cream as they were before--just shinier, which isn't something I want.
For those like myself who are fragrance sensitive, the smell of this product really bothered me the first time I used it, but bothered me less today when I did the video review. It isn't necessarily a perfumey smell but there is a smell.

There is an inch-long list of inactive ingredients on the box with many syllables and a third of the back of the tube is taken up by warnings (like not to use this on broken skin, keep out of eyes, etc.). Granted, when you put sunscreen in a product, there are going to be chemicals, but this just seemed like overkill.
My guess is that this product is targeted to women in their teens or 20s, who already young, flawless skin. Otherwise, I don't recommend you waste your money.

()This was my first experience with BB cream. I love the convenience of having my moisturizer, SPF, and foundation in one step.The cover is very sheer, so I had to be a bit heavy handed with it to get the coverage that I wanted. I also found this shade to be a little too dark for my skin in the winter. It is better suited for my coloring during the summer months.
()As a woman of a certain age, I am constantly on the hunt for a foundation that provides coverage without exacerbating the laugh lines I have earned over the years. Olay Fresh Effects is a tinted moisturizer, which made me a little hesitant at first. My experience in the past has been that this type of product is heavy on the moisturizer, light on the tinted, leaving me looking like a greasy mess a few hours after application.
Olay Fresh Effects has a little less in the coverage area than I would like to have, but on the positive side, it blends well, doesn't collect in the wrinkly areas and doesn't leave my face looking and feeling like an oil slick. As an added bonus, my skin feels softer, and the product has a nice scent, not overly sunscreenish smelling. I am hoping the Skin Perfecting part of the program will negate the need for a little bit stronger coverage.
I really like the way the product goes on, and how my skin feels after a week of use. I will continue to use it, combined with a little concealer here and there.
()As with nearly all Oil of Olay products, I love this one.This is a non-greasy foundation-esque moisturizer.I have worn this and a bit of powder and skipped foundation entirely.It's especially nice because it has a clean scent, and when I say scent it's not overpowering or highly noticeable but yet it's pleasant, far more pleasant then any other foundation of any type.I did not find this product to be greasy or unappealing.It feels like a thinner version of Oil of Olay's serums with tint.This is not a little bit of tint in my opinion.I have swapped out my foundation for this.Technically BB cream stands for "blemish balm, blemish base" so anyone expecting this to be like a tinted lotion is just incorrect, that is not what it is.
I do not have acne, but like most women I do have uneven skin tone and some days I just want a lighter foundation or base.This is the ticket.I live in Florida where spf is a must.I love this product and hope BB creams catch on and stay.This item has the quality I've come to expect and respect from Oil of Olay.The description states "mix, match and layer" for your own personal perfection and this is correct.This may not be for everyone but I love it.It's clean feeling, soaks into my skin and keeps it soft and smooth all day and is protecting my skin as well.Some day's my skin feels blah and I layer over this with my powder foundation, but some day's this is all I need.Even on my down day's my skin is getting moisturized and protected from the brutal sun in Florida.
