My baby has a head full of tight ringlets that are prone to tangling.Being that she's so young, her hair is still fine and combing out the knots out of a wriggly 18 month old is an ordeal that she hates.(What baby wants to have her hair combed when she has so many things to explore?)I loved the ingredients in this as they're safe and natural, but I was extremely disappointed when I tried this out.It didn't detangle her hair any more than using water.I really wanted to like this product.I did notice that it does add shine and and helps define my baby's curls but that's after I carefully comb out her hair before using the product.

This doesn't really detangle, but I like it anyway, if only to help my girls' hair smell good.

It's certainly not the greatest detangler, but it does help more than using nothing. Plus, it smells very nice but not too overpowering. And it's better than spraying a bunch of chemicals on your child's head. So as a detangler, I give it three stars, but gave it an extra star for the natural ingredients and nice smell.

Had to return this item since it doesn't really work for detangling hair.... the smell is lovely but the product isn't really useful as a detangler.

My preschooler's hair is always tangled and difficult to comb out in the mornings, and I was at my wit's end until I came across the California Baby products at one of the local health stores here. This hair de-tangler has been a staple in our morning routine ever since. The product is in a spray bottle so it makes it easy to apply just spritz it on (will work with either wet or dry hair) and start combing. There is a strong scent (almost like eucalyptus) but it goes away after some time, and my daughter has never complained about the smell. It works so well that I have started using it on my own hair, and it does say on the label that it is for babies, kids and sensitive adults. I love the fact that this product is botanically based so I don't have to worry about 'contaminating' my child with harmful chemicals. It is also stated on the label that the product is free of common allergens. We've been using this daily for the past two months, and there's still half a bottle left, so this particular three-for-one deal seems quite a deal. I'd highly recommend this product to any parent who wants to have a hassle-free morning, and it makes the little ones much happier too!
