Sun Laboratories Ultra Dark Self Tanning Lotion

This is 4 and a half stars actually. I have trouble with most self tanners because on me they are simply orange and my natural tan is more taupe. Sun Ultra Dark has the best color i've yet encountered in a self tanner. It generally looks natural except in the very brightest light (when it's a tiny bit orange)and it goes on smoothly. The only problem i've had with it was a result of dropping the bottle--easy to do since it's a bit awkward. It cracked on the edge and since then has been cracking everywhere. I now get my tanner from a crack on the side instead off the nozzle--but please note i'm still using it faithfully every other day despite the cracks!. It's best to exfoliate a little before using, but i've used it without and it's still smooth. I'm really impressed.

I am pretty new at sunless tanning but man I love this stuff!I have done several spray tans and hate how spotty it can be.I really liked the Fake Bake but it didn't last near a long as this and wasn't near as dark.This is so natural looking, easy to apply, lasts long (about 5 to 7 days before you want to apply again to maintain color), dries quick, smells pretty good (like cherries then your normal tanning smell after it dies).My only warnings is that my husband used it and came out way to dark for him and looked fake for the first day or so, but he is crazy pale so any one who dosnt have any color should use a lighter shade.Also when you first apply I would do it at night because chances are you will have splotchy dirty looking spots when you first apply but this goes away and evens out FLAWLESSLY after an hour or two.Also do your research this same product will sell anywear from $16 all the way to $50.I have bought from two different sellers, both decently priced(one $21 the other $16) and the one I spent less on actually came with a free bottle of the face version (which I think actually works better color wise that the body one).Last piece of advice is wear gloves, it will stain the palms of your hands but take the residue on the gloves when your done and rub over the backs of your hands so they are closer to the shade of the rest of you!

I would recommend this product to everyone! It is incredible. I was so torn between weather or not I should go with the medium or the dark, and I am very glad I went with the dark. I am fair skinned and it was not too dark for me at all. I am so pleased with the color, it is not orange whatsoever and there are no streaks! I have only applied this twice, and my skin has a golden tan that looks like it came from spending hours laying out in the sun. It easy to use, and smells great going on! The "self tanner smell" is apparent a little bit when I wake up in the morning, but it is hardly bothersome and it seems to go away quickly. I do recommend gloves, because you will get brown hands! I also think gloves allow the lotion soak into your skin better, rather than soaking into your hands. I am so excited that I can get a dark tan without having to work hard for it or spend hours in the sun damaging my skin. This lotion will give you a tan that does not look like it came from a bottle. So worth the price, I will be buying this for a while. It is like magic, I absolutely LOVE this product. And again, if you are debating between medium and dark, go with the darker one. You will be so pleased!
