The Q in the code represents the lot or batch numberLast summer we picked up a bottle of this at a local Walgreens. This year, I couldn't find it in town anywhere, so I ordered from Amazon because we COULD NOT do without it!
We live in south Texas, where the sun is hot and bright. We go boating a lot during the summer, and even spend a week at a lake camping and boating.
I am hispanic, and tan nicely; but my husband is Minnesota white! I bought this sunblock for him, because he kept burning if we spent a day boating, even though he put Banana Boat SPF 30 on multiple times a day. This No-Ad did the trick for him. He reapplied anytime he came out of the water, and he didn't burn. Pretty soon though, the entire extended family was using his sunblock! We all went out for a full day of boating, and used SPF 30 of another brand a few times during the day.Despite our naturally darker skin, everyone burned to some degree. The next day, everyone was stealing my hubby's No-Ad Kids SPF 50! By the time our vacation week at the lake ended, the whole family my sisters, brother-in-laws, their kids, and my parents were using this sunblock I had bought for my husband! (and the bottle was empty!)
Everyone loved it for these reasons:
It goes on really smooth, and doesn't feel plastic-y, super greasy, or thick like most other sunblocks SPF 50 or higher
It doesn't sting your eyes! We used several other name brands (Banana Boat and others), and I was a crying mess because my eyes were burning so bad from the water running through the sunblock on my forehead, then running into my eyes.
It doesn't leave a white layer all over your skin, but rubs in nicely
It protects from the vicious sun really, really well! Anyone who boats knows that you burn way faster out on the water than you do on the shore. This sunblock did the trick, above and beyond at least eight other bottles of various SPF levels and brands that we brought along for the trip.
I have VERY sensitive skin. I get itchy and rashes from traditional storebought makeup, lotion, etc. (even expensive brands like Clinque or Aveda). As a result, I use 100% organic, plant-based makeup, skin products, etc., that are VERY expensive. However, the highest SPF I found in an organic brand that my skin didn't react to was SPF 30. That wasn't enough for the Texas summer sun. However, I had NO reaction to this sunblock, either on my body, or on my highly senstive facial skin. Shocked!
Pretty much, I couldn't rate this stuff any higher! I figured I'll order a couple extra bottles this year, so the family can all share!
Update: My only issue is that it is full of parabens, which are linked to cancer according to some research. Organic or more natural-based skin products are eliminating parabens due to this issue. However, at this point, I haven't found a good, organic SPF 50 sunblock that is working like this No-Ad, so we're still using it.

I ordered this on the strength of six reviews, all 5-star. No other product was so well liked. I would probably give it a 4 1/2 if I could.PROS:
protected well
rubbed in well, didn't leave me white
no perfume
CONS:
left me very shiny
it's kind of thick so I had to work a little to get it dispensed (need to keep it laying on its side or upside-down between squeezes, and/or give it a shake before each squeeze)
I was interested in using it on my face because reviews said it won't sting your eyes, but I thought I better see how it goes on my body first. It left my skin so shiny that at first I did not want to use it on my face. Just using it on my body, I noticed I wasn't shiny after about an hour or so. Even when my skin was shiny to look at, it did NOT make me feel encased in plastic as sunscreen so often does. I pretty much forgot I had it on.
Later I did use this on my face at the waterslide. It did not sting going on and it did not start to sting later. I was in and out of the water, splashing under at the end of the slides, and this sunscreen NEVER irritated my eyes. Also, even though it made my face shiny, I couldn't feel it, forgot it was there--no Saran Wrap feeling.
So, I really like this sunscreen and am taking for a trip to Africa.
UPDATE FROM AFRICA TRIP:
This sunscreen served us well. The only sunburn we got was in a couple of spots that we obviously missed when applying.
I did experience stinging eyes one time when I reapplied it to my face in the car while hot and sweaty. I don't know if I accidentally touched my eye with my finger while it had residue on it or if it ran into my eye with my sweat. It was definitely uncomfortable. I think a good guideline would be to make sure your face is dry before applying and let it dry/soak in a while before going swimming.
It also stung slightly and briefly on my face one day. I think it was because my face was already irritated from our very dry environment and windburn from driving in an open safari vehicle.
My one complaint is that I find the container difficult. The lotion is thick, the plastic bottle is pretty thick and stiff, so every time I squirt some out, it sucks air back in and I have to work to get the lotion back to the spout.
This bottle lasted 2 weeks in Africa for 2 adults including 4 days of swimming and scuba. We had already used some before our trip and there's a little left over. I will be reordering.

I have extremely sensitive skinso I always buy kids sunblock or baby sunblock. This NO-AD goes on light with no greasy residue, and does not run into your eyes when you sweat-no more sunblock sting! I highly recommend this product for use on hypoallergenic folk. Almost every other sunblock makes me break out in small bumpsthis one just works.Want No-ad Spf#50 Kids Sunscreen Lotion 16 oz Discount?
I have purchased No Ad sunscreen for years at my local WalMart sadly they went with their own generic EQUATE brand and have dropped the No Ad. I am very happy that I can still purchase this product on Amazon and it really works and works well. I have 6 year old twins and we go through sunscreen like water we never have had any issues with the products and they work extraordinarily well. Remember to reapply often (like with every other sunscreen out there) especially if you are in/out of the water. Save the money, buy more No Ad and use it generously you won't be unhappy.
