SPF 36 is excellent protection especially in a lip treatment. However, this lip "treatment" is just lip protection-it is not hydrating, it does not give a flattering color, it does not hide lines or plump. What bothers me the most is the awful white sheen it leaves on your lips, the product is white and it shows up white on your lips. Another issue is the relatively thin, but slippery consistency which makes layering other products on top of it difficult. This treatment tends to whear off quickly as well, so you need to reapply frequently.
About the only thing I can say positive is when applied VERY frequently, with the proper amount of coverage this is by far the best lip protection I have ever used. However, because it is not hydrating you need to carry a lip balm with it-which makes using this a big hassle.
A great alternative is blistex 5 star lip protection-however it is only spf 30.
