I have been using this product for about 3 years now.I first purchased it at a skin specialist's office and now see it marketed in my local hospital which, in my eyes, gives it more credibility. cant live without this moisturizer. i have oily, hormonal acne prone skin and this does NOT break me out (dont get the spf one, that breaks me out!) and moisturizers my skin. it leaves it extremely dewy afterwards but thats ok because i put powder on anyway before i go out. has vitamin c in it so even better! good stuff and im on my upteenth bottle already.

I used the Obagi "starter kit" that included cleanser, balancing toner, serum, day lotion, and night lotion for about 2 weeks and my skin ended up extremely dry. I'm 43 years old and was hoping this product would provide some aging reversal.I felt like I needed to reapply moisturizer to my face about midday.I guess you need to consider this system is "bleaching" your skin to even out the pigmentation.The dryness effect seemed to create wrinkles rather than help as indicated.Product is not for me.

Alba Botanica Pure Lavender SunBlock SPF 45, Water Resistant, 4-Ounce Tube (Pack of 2)

I would highly recommend you do not use any of Alba's sunscreen products.They contain two chemicals that they use that are not good for the body.The two chemicals I am talking about are Octocrylene Produces oxygen radicals when exposed to UV light and Homosalate Research indicates it is a weak hormone disruptor, forms toxic metabolites, and can enhance the penetration of a toxic herbicide.

You think you can trust the name "Alba", but the truth of the matter is you can't.The two sunscreens I would recommend is Badger or Goddess Garden.It frustrates me that you have these companies out there saying that they are all natural but really aren't.

I bought this to replace the Lavender SPF 30 they used to make, which was their flagship product before the company was sold to Hain. This is a far less superior product. It is greasy and the oil separates from the cream daily. That never used to happen so it is messy as a result. They also charge $2 more for the "new improved product". SPF 30 is all you really need anyway so this is not an improvement when you add the greasy feel, the $2 increase, and the overkill on SPF. Bottom line: I am looking for a new favorite sun product.

My family and I recently used this sunscreen during 10 days in Hawaii and it worked well. It protects even when you swim, though I do recommend reapplying after prolonged swimming just to be on the safe side. It has a mild, pleasant scent and is not greasy. This is a good daily sunscreen.

All the natural sunscreens leave a bit of white residue here and there at times, this one no exception---it must be the zinc.But this one is better than all the others I have tried, and the white doesn't usually show or leave any little clumps until a hard sweaty workout in the sun (and then it's time to take a shower anyway). I love how moisturizing it

is on my dry ol' leathery skin, and the nice lavender scent.It is definitely not a sun blocker, I doubt the 45 rating,

but will protect at least for an hour before re-application necessary.Also be aware that if you don't pull your bangs

and hair back, it can leave your hair a little oily.

Like many other people, I have read the EWG list of sunscreens and am attempting to find a 'healthier' sunblock. Most of the top rated brands are expensive, so this semed like a good alternative. I have fair skin and burn easily, so sunscreen is an absolute must for me. This product smells nice and works effectively, but it is insanely thick and greasy on the skin. Whenever I wear it, I find myself unconsciously rubbing my skin in an attempt to get it to absorb more. I literally feel wet as in, just got out of the water after application. This product is amazing. I had a big brown scar from burn and it was very ugly. I had it for over 3months, and it wasn't healing. Aveeno Active Naturals Continuous Protection Sunblock Lotion Face SPF 70, 3 Ounce

Even though this lotion says non-comedogenic, I'm pretty sure it's caused my breakout this past week, since I haven't changed anything else I've done. Additionally, it stings in some places when I apply it, and a small area near my mouth has become red and sore. I also agree with the other reviewer this lotion doesn't blend into my skin; no matter how much I rub it in, it still appears as a white paste. So much for SPF; I've had better success with much cheaper products.

I've used this product for a little over a year on my entire family, including my toddler son. It spreads and blends in way easier on my son's face than some of the other baby sunscreen brands such as neutrogena. My son had a big problem with eczema, and this product was the only thing that didn't exacerbate it. Even though this is an oil free product, it initially feels just a tad greasy on, and provides the moisture that my son needs. I also have somewhat dry skin, that is pretty sensitive, and this product worked great for me. I was a little worried about the fragrance, but it didn't irritate my skin. This is a much higher SPF than most, so it will obviously be different than a lower SPF product, but I haven't had any problems with it. We also have relatively fair skin. It's also best applied when the skin is dry. My husband has a problem blending it in when he applies it right after or while he's sweating--but not any more so than with most other sunscreens. Ditto for when he re-applies it immediately after coming out of the water. Although I use a lighter SPF lotion on a daily basis, I primarily use/trust this Aveeno product on days that we go to water parks, beaches, etc. Lately, I have also been using the spray on my boy's body because he thinks it's cool--making it easier to apply. Unfortunately, the spray does irritate my face a bit (I have no idea why), so I try not to use the spray version on any faces.

Look from a redhead who's worn high SPF's most of her life...the best suggestion I can give is to use the spray on kinds the higher the SPF because the lotions are just going to be heavily viscous and never rub in very well.

So interesting how the reviews of this product vary. I think it just shows how people's skins have different sensitivities. I have very sensitive sking especially when it comes to any kind of moisturizer. I have never in my life found one that doesn't make me breakout. The ONLY thing that gives me moisture for my face and doesn't give me acne is this sunscreen. I am here on Amazon replacing a tube because I have run through it. I love this sunscreen and put it on everyday with it doing double duty of moisturizer and sunblock. I am 60 years old so not sure if this would work for an acne prone teenager but I have found it has works wonders for me. Clearly other folks have not been so lucky. However, I recommend giving a try to see if your skin will be happy with it. I am a huge Aveeno fan. Good luck!

The Tannie Hair Bonnet

I got my Tannie in the mail today and went straight to the tanning salon to test it out. I don't know if it actually protected my hair from damage because there's really no way to tell from one use, but I do know that it was nice to have my hair in the hat, not in an uncomfortable pony tail because I have short hair. This is a very nice product; it goes on smoothly and easily, it is mildly & pleasantly scented, it is non irritating, works well as a base for foundation and other make ups, and it is organic, with no parabens --but the stated quantity of 1.8 oz includes the tube! (I measured it because the tube seemed halfway empty when it arrived). So this product is deceptively expensive....

This is a good facial sun block cream.I spray a little water on my face and neck first, so that it goes on easier, as the cream is pretty thick.It looks white at first, but goes clear as you rub it in.It also seems to stay on your face (reflective) long after application, unlike regular sunscreen, which needs to be re-applied every so often.

OHUI Sun Science Powder Sun Block EX SPF50_no.2 beige

I loved this Sun Block from three years ago. On my way to the US, I bought one on the flight of Asiana Airlines. I heard that you have to reapply sun blocks every 4-5 hours when you expose to intense sunlight. So this powder sun block is so convenient: you can reapply it anytime, and do not worry about messing up your makeup, or you just reapply blush after use it. I recommended it to lots of people in California.

There are two colors: the white one and natural skin color (beige). I love the white one more, because it can whitening my face. But it will seems a little too white the first 30mins after use. The beige may be better for people who do not put on make that much.

Before the holiday season, I bought a few ones to give my colleges/girlfriends as gifts. Since I kept mentioning it and use it when I am with them, they knew it and love the gift so much!

I found it in some Korean markets in L.A. for around $55, the Seoul Airport for around $48, the Asiana Airlines around $44. And here online is only $35(for natural color). The white one is still $45.

I definitely recommend go online shopping: very convenient.

But the only thing is you have to wait them to be shipped from Korea, and pay a little bit high delivery fees. Otherwise I definitely love the whole thing: the good itself and the deal.

UV Natural SPF 30+ Baby Sunscreen, 5.29 oz size

I've been using this sunscreen for about 2 years now.I started using it aftermy son was born. I didn't want to put nasty chemicals on my precious bundle.We lived in Australia at the time so a good sunscreen was absolutley essential.I've tried other natural suncreams but always come back to this one.Yes it does have an odd scent, but I don't think it's terrible and it is on the greasy side, especially if you compared it to chemical based creams. (You will find when switching from a chemical based sunscreen to a physical barrier one ie. Zinc that the consistency is inevitably thicker and this does take a bit of getting used to) Once this particular cream is on the skin though i've found it spreads well and takes about 10 mins to sink fully into the skin.We always suncream before dressing as if it gets on your clothes it can take a stain remover to get it out! For me these are all issues i'm happy to deal with for the fact this cream REALLY WORKS and caused no nasty rashes. (Other natural suncreams have triggered excema in myself and my son.) I can say hand on heart that neither myself or my son have suffered any sunburn or red skin since using this.One note is that the UV natural not the "Baby" cream is even thicker and smellier. My preference has been to continue with the Baby suncream because of this.Hopefully UV Natural will continue to improve their product and I hope in the future it will become a bit thinner in consistency without sacrificing protection.

This is very greasy and takes maybe 1/2 hour to completely dry.Smells a bit cardboardy, but not too bad, definitely not overwhelming.If you can deal with that, you can be rewarded with a the lack of guilt for applying toxic chemicals.I'm going to keep trying other natural brands and I hope UV Natural just keeps making improvements to theirs, it's very important to help these companies get more of the market.See the EWG guide to sunscreens where this brand has the lowest possible toxicity rating:.

Loved that it was natural, didn't like how greasy it felt. I only used it in a bathing suit when out on the water, not when I was wearing any clothes because it felt too greasy and I didn't want it to get on my clothes. Pretty water-resistant, though.

If you are gonna spend time in the sun, I would say ignore the price and get this.Super easy to put on, you don't have to rub it in, it is not greasy or sticky, it works great for the kids (should cover eyes as always), and really all that matters is I don't get burnt when I wear it.Surfing, hiking, playing with the kids at the beach, it doesn't matter I have never gotten burnt when I put it on.

I buy this because it's one of the few sunscreens I could find that was scored overall well (3 on a scale of 10, with lower being better) on EWG's sunscreen guide and still has most of the things I'm looking for: it's non-comedogenic, it doesn't have any micronized zinc or titanium dioxide, it doesn't leave any sort of white film (I have olive-tan skin so whiteness doesn't blend in well on me), it's light and easy to spread, and it has a nice sheen to it that makes my skin look really nice :). it could be less expensive, more effective (according to EWG, only provides "good" uvb and "moderate" uva protection, rather than "excellent" for both and i can tell that i tan more easily than i have with other sunscreens i've used) and have a lower rated health concern by EWG (currently "moderate" rather than "low"), but i've tried a bunch of other sunscreens and based on the things I'm looking for, this is the best i've found and I'm pretty happy with it.helpful hint: in order to avoid wasting the amount of product that sprays out to the sides a bit, spray on a cupped hand and spread from there rather than spraying directly onto ur body
