Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer

It's quite normal to fall between two shades due to the infinite variety of skin tones and tan variations throughout the year. If this is the case for you, Laura recommends mixing those two shades together to get the perfect, custom match. Many of her clients do this. You'll only use about half the amount ofeach shade when you mix (therefore each tube lasts you twice as long) so over the space of a year you don't end up spending any more money on foundation than you would if you only purchased one color. Plus you get the bonus of precision matched color. Also, most of us tend to darken a bit in the summer and lighten up a bit in the winter at which point you'll have just the right shade at your fingertips. Another trick I like with Laura's Tinted Moisturizer is mixing a little of it with my oil-free foundation to get a slightly more natural looking finish or to slightly lighten or darken the color here as well.

Easy to Use:

Apply after skincare/moisturizer, using a downward motion with fingertips or a sponge. The downward blending motion helps to keep the foundation from getting under the very tiny, and nearly microscopic hairs we all grow on our faces. A sponge will help you apply the product more evenly than using your fingers. Laura makes a fantastic and machine washable version.

Tinted Moisturizer can be worn with or without Laura's famous, award winning, and best selling Foundation Primer underneath. An application of Foundation Primer first will naturally extend the wear of Tinted Moisturizer especially for oilier skins or all skins in warmer/humid months. If you prefer a soft/slightly moist finish, set the Tint with a small amount of Translucent Loose Powder by lightly tapping with the side of the Powder Brush. For a more matte finish, set Tinted Moisturizer with Translucent Loose Powder or Pressed Setting Powder (which provides more coverage than loose) using the Laura's wonderful and machine washable Powder Puff.

*While being SPF 20 (refers to UVB only), the active ingredients Laura uses in her Tinted Moisturizers do provide a small amount ofUVA protection yet are not completely broad spectrum. All of Laura's daytime Moisturizers provide SPF 15 in the form of avobenzone (listed under the chemical name) which is fully UVB and UVA protective. As a professional, freelance makeup artist, this is my preferred route. UVA/UVB sunscreen in a foundation makes it much thicker and can give the color a slightly `off `or `whitish cast. UVA/UVB sunscreen also reflects light and this shows up in pictures as `ghost face' -a horror for brides when they get their pictures back. Having sunscreen in your moisturizer won't have this same effect because you top it with foundation or powder which keeps the reflection at bay.

The only shade other than Nude I would attempt to try is the almond. The sand and fawn are too brownish beige. This is also 20 SPF. Tinted moisturizer is like a hint of color added to your moisturizer, which is why I chose Nude and am happy with the overall look to my face and feel on my skin.

The Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer is easy to apply, feels soft and silky to the skin. It is applied using fingertips. While I was at the counter at Nordstrom the cosmetician used a brush to apply. I liked this better than a cotton ball used at other counters.

A 1.5 ounce tube will last from 4-5 months, probably longer now that fall is here and less coverage is needed for this season. This has an anti-oxidant complex that protects the skin.

I have eczema, allergic to lanolin and check ingredients on all cosmetics before buying.The Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer does not contain lanolin, is Dermatologist tested and not tested on animals.I started using the moisturizer in early summer.This survived the brutal temps in Southern California.

You do not have the caked on look, this is streak free, did not add much shine to my face, more of a glow. I read somewhere online that Sarah Jessica Parker attributes her healthy glow to the Nude shade of the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer as well.

I even used this a few times as an under eye concealer when the skin looked lighter in color and needed a boost. There were no breakouts associated with using the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer. It worked well on keeping my rash area covered up with a more healthy look.

The tube is easy to grasp with one hand and remove the twist-off cap in one twist. The contents are squeezed through the opening. Although once you get to the end of the tube you will need to shake it a bit to obtain the remaining droplets. I found that this worked just as well at the bottom of the tube as it did from when first purchased months ago.

This is a tinted moisturizer that works on all skin-types and colors. The price is a bit steep, but I used it all compared to tossing out the Mac Face and Body Foundation and using the Serious Skin Care Tinted Moisturizer infrequently.

I love tinted moisturizers, and this one is by far the best I've used. It's a little thicker than most, but it goes on smoothly and evenly--foolproof.I've even applied it in the car on my daily commute, and it always looks great, even without a mirror. It gives just the right amount of coverage, evening out your skintone without looking madeup. I have light to medium skin tone and unfortunately first purchased the "sand" which was far to orange/brown for my skin. It looks like from the other reviewers I'm not the only one who thought this.The "nude" is a much more neutral tone.You won't find a better tinted moisturizer out there!

THEY CHANGED THE PRODUCT AND IT'S AWFUL NOW. (This for for the regular (oil) version.)I used this product for 7 years and I loved it even though I had to mix two colors (nude and porcelain) toget a match to my skin. I felt it was worth it because it was so amazing.

NO LONGER AMAZING. In fact, it is awful. It used to be hydrating, now it dries out my skin. It used to make it glowy, now while I'm wearing it my dry skin looks like an oil slick and when I wash it off it's dry.

I could tell right away that they changed the formula and I emailed them to ask them what they changed. They said they didn't change it. Well, I came across an older box and I compared it to my most recent purchase and they did change it. They took out the kalaya oil and switched it for castor oil! I remember it had kalaya oil because I looked it up online after seeing it on their box because I wanted to buy just kalaya oil since it moisturized so well without breaking me out or making me oily. It's now gone and replaced with castor. The castor made the product so thick in consistency when it used to be thin and sink into my skin, looking lovely and hydrating it. The castor also makes it sit on top of the skin like a glob of oiliness and the thicker consistency highlights every line and pore. The castor also dries out the skin.

So they basically took out a great (and expensive) ingredient and now it's a cheapened product but still costs $40.

Just a total mess now.

I can't believe the people at LM would change such a beloved product.What a mistake! And they LIED about it! I just left a review of it on their site and it's not showing up, so I wonder if reviews are reviewed before they are visible...? Wouldn't surprise me, since they lied to me. That's why I added this new category, so I could let people know they changed the product just in case others noticed a difference too, especially if they do review the reviews before they publish them. I'm betting they don't want word getting out that they changed the formula -them lying to me about it is pretty compelling for that theory. Also, looking at the reviews on their website, there are no negative ones whatsoever. Until I reviewed this now I didn't realize they have to approve reviews. If they thought they could keep the cheapening of their product quiet, they were wrong. I'm going to tell everyone they changed it to cheaper ingredients just like I used to tell everyone to use it. Yes, I'm angry -angry they lied to me and have deceptive reviews in addition to substituting cheaper ingredients for better ones without lowering the price.

Always on the lookout for what would get me off and running more quickly in the morning, I heard about this Tinted Moisturizer from Laura Mercier.It does the trick.There's no longer a need for me to use moisturizer, wait for it to be absorbed, and then apply foundation.

Should mention up front that the natural look is my preference so I'm attracted to formulations with just a hint of color.Of course, the addition SPF 20 is a very real and practical bonus.

When using this skin tends to have a very natural look but "better," if you will.My skin is fair so I use "Porcelain," which takes away the paleness but does not camouflage skin tone.It's best for me to apply the tint with fingertips and gently smooth.

I can get tan on other areas of my body but my chest area always burns unless I put on some heavy-duty lotion. Shiseido's, unlike other highly protective sunscreens, does go on smoothly and absorbs with no heaviness. It's a pleasure to use. And it protects from UVA and UVB rays. It's the first pleasant lotion I've used where I didn't burn a bit. And it's water resistant and sweat-proof too.

I have fair skin and always use sunscreen. I bought this because I like the Shiseido makeup. I also bought the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Liguid 55 at the same time. The Shiseido is a little greasy. It doesn't absorb as fast as I'd like it too. I like the Neutrogena better is absorbs quickly and doesn't feel sticky. This sunscreen does the job, definately keeps your skin safe from the sun but it is a little greasy.

This is a great product! Exuviance Introductory Collection Oily/Acne Prone

I bought this as part the introductory set for acne prone skin. I thought that it would jkust be another face wash that doesn't fix anything.

I am 26 and my skin is oily in the T zone and normal on the rest. I have acne scars, my skin tone is so uneven and red that I cannot go without makeup as it looks awful and I am prone to zits no matter what I do. I feel like a teenager exept now I get the joys of dealing with wrinkles too!

When a consultant suggested this whilst I was shopping for foundation, I scoffed. I thought it was too high priced and was going to be a waste of money. Boy, how wrong I was.

My skin is better than it ever has been. My skin tone is normal, the redness has vanished, my oiliness reduced. My acne scars are disappearing (I have only been using a few weeks), my wrinkles have reduced, my spots are practically none existent and when I do get one, I just put a little of the Excuviance Purifying Clay Mask on it and it clears right up over night. My skin is so amazing, I can actually go out without make up, a feet that I never thought possible.

My routine goes like this:

Morning:

Wash face with exuviance moisturizing antibacterial face wash (I thought that it seemed less harsh than what I had tried previously and wouldn't work at first, this was not the case)

Rub on sheer refining fluid

If I want make up I use the a light covering of Exuviance foundation (no brush required, it says use fingers to apply time saver) with Pur powder foundation on top which covers wonderfully. I do use a Pur primer as I prefer it to the Excuviance Matt but that is just personal preference. My make up stays on all day with no oil or cakiness like this.

Evening:

Wash face with exuviance moisturizing antibacterial face wash (gets all my make up off with such ease)

Rub on Excuviance Night Renewal Gel

The once a week I use the Purifying Clay Mask.

My skin is perfect now, I urge you to give it a try because it made what I felt was impossible for me possible.

This was a great intro kit for the price.I didn't care for the anti-bacterical cleanser because I found it dried out my oily skin too much and made it flake :(!I prefer the purifying gel cleanser which is a better cleanser and is soap-free.I liked being able to get a feel for the Exuviance line of products in this starter kit.I liked all the other products: night gel, day fluid SPF 15, mask, and the matte protection.

Buzz Bronzer Skin Balancing W/bee Pollen & Honey 10.1 Oz

A friend gave me a sample package and I tried this product. I was amazed that after I tanned I did not smell like I came out of a tanning bed! It definately moisturized my skin as well. I wish I hadnt already ordered another product ;(

The lotion itself is amazing! But when I tried to pump the lotion it was either too thick to dispense through the spout or the pump was broken.It was really inconvenient.

This lotion is great. I hate the after tanning smell and I usually work out after I tan which means I usually notice it : ( BUT with this lotion I don't at all! My skin also doesn't feel waxy or yucky after I tan which is great. Often times I notice a layer of lotion over my skin when I'm done tanning but not with this one. The only thing I wish was better would be the bronzer. If this lotion has any kind of bronzer in it, it's super light. I go tanning about twice a week in the winter and have used this for at least 6 months now and never noticed a bronze effect.

Australian Gold Lip Balm SPF#30 0.15 oz.

I love this lip balm! Especially because of the high SPF and no wierd taste from it.

I use it every day before lip gloss or lipstick.

I got my first AG lip balm when I ordered a tanning bed.I have used a lot of lip balms and finally determined, there was not a good one, until AG.It is the best.It does not dry your lips like most lip balms with sunscreen and it does not leave your lips waxy or oily, nor does it ever irritate your lips.Your lips only feel moist and it helps the appearance.I put it on before my lip stick, and sometimes I don't even want to wear anything but the AG lip balm.

If there is a better lip balm, I have not found it.

MD Moms Babysafe Sunscreen Towelettes Spf 30 (20 count)

We purchased this product due mostly to the good reviews on amazon so I feel obligated to write a different review as we didn't find that the product worked well.Everything about the promises on the package mirror my idea of a perfect sunscreen.It promised to be easy to apply (that is accurate.)It promised a broad spectrum spf of 30 and water resistant to 80 minutes, however, we did not find that promise to be true.

We used the product on my son for three days of his school and it seemed like it wasn't working well. We opened another package just in case the first one was old or something was wrong with it as the towelettes didn't seem to be that moist.We also started to increase the amount we applied and used several to many towels.Finally we had a day of swim team so we used 3 towelettes for his face and 3 for his arms.We used different sunscreen for his legs.I reapplied the sunscreen after the first and second hour of swimming, not 80 minutes as the package suggested.After 2 1/2 hours, my son's face and arms looked pink so I pulled him out of the water.My son wears a swim shirt for better spf coverage. After several hours out of the water, the pink turned into a bad sunburn.My son got the worse sunburn he has ever had from a 2 1/2 hour exposure to the sun. It was as if he had no sunscreen on at all.We purchased this originally because we were given a free sample at an event we attended. I thought it sounded like an incredible idea and would be easier than putting on the liquid sunscreen every day. The towels that we used didn't seem to be covered well with the product which is why I used multiple towels to apply the product.This may work for a small baby that will not allow you to put on any sunscreen but this isn't a product that can be used with active children as a substitute for a true sunscreen.Either we had faulty packages of sunscreen or this product doesn't work at all.Even if this product had worked, using 6 towelettes for just face and arms is cost prohibitive. We will return to our regular natural sunscreen that works well, although not as easy to put on.

Just received product. Says 15 towelettes, not 20.At $24 total, that's $1.60 per wipe. Yeesh. Just so you know.

I have tried spray on children's sunblock and other wipe on sunblock.The spray on stuff naturally landed and was rubbed in my child's eyes and he finally calmed down hours later.This is by far the best I have found.One wipe will cover your baby's legs, arms, and head.Also, this has a nice white sheen to it to help judge whether or not you were successful in putting it on your child, which was a limitation of other wipe on sunblocks.This sheen dries away, but it really helps to show where you applied the sunscreen.Yes, it gets on your hands when applying, but it is by far the most pleasant sunscreen I have had on my hands and is not sticky afterwards.I have had my child in and out of the sun for hours running with this and it protected him completely.I hate to spend the money, but after the mess the spray on left and the limitations of the competitors, I will.

You need to use Spf 50 of higher on babies. I don't know why this company thinks it is okay to call this "Babysafe". It does not matter what their skin color is they need a HIGH Spf. Do your research!

Hawaiian Tropic Tan Max Indoor Tanning Deep Tanning Salon Lotion, 8-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 2)

I bought this lotion and used it for my base tan in a tanning bed and I gotta tell you this one does the job. I am white girl and I don't tan that easy, it usually starts with burn haha. Using this lotion for about 4 sessions of 10 minutes each, it gave me nice light brown tan I wanted. I never burned and lotion goes on skin very smoothly.

I like this lotion cause it is thin, so it is very easy to apply and it is NOT OILY, NOT GREASY, it applies so easy!

You know how most lotions or moisturizers if you coat too much you get lots of it on skin and lotion just doesn't absorbs, it stays as a white coat, you cant rub it in, you know. Well this lotion ABSORBS SO QUICKLY and melon scent is very nice and very light you barely smell it which is good.

If you don't want or simply can't afford crazy expensive Tanning salon lotions, but you need one cause you HAVE to stay MOISTURIZED in a tanning bed you might like this one.

P.S.: tanning salon workers may tell you that this lotion would damage their acrylic beds because it has mineral oil. But it says on the bottle "TANNING BED PROVEN, CONTAINS NO MINERAL OIL". They still might not let you using it. Of course they want you to spend 80$ on lotion they sell. Just keep it to yourself and good luck!!

Hawaiian Tropic tan max goes on quickly and evenly without any oily feel.Only thing if left in the car in colder climates it can freeze up.

I am fair skinned and sensitive and have ALWAYS purchased high quality, top of the line salon products. Getting tan has been a challenge for me. I ordered designer Skin Luminary online because of all the great things I have heard about it. I picked up a bottle of this to tide me over until my order arrived... AMAZING RESULTS!!!! Best ever! The real proof though is in the ingredients. It contains all of the essential ingredients needed in an indoor tanning lotion and ingredients that are contained in the higher end products. Key ingredients are Tyrosine, Riboflavin, Aloe, cocoa butter, Vit A,E, Collagen, phospolipids.The ingredients are what get you tan. Beyond that, most companies work really hard to make a fancy bottle and it's all about the marketing. This product is in a rather ugly bottle but that is probably how they can afford to sell it so cheap!!! In addition I usually dry out in the tanning bed and my husband has commented on how soft and velvety my skin feels. This lotion is a bit thicker and needs to be rubbed in more but I also think that makes it go further. Salon owners do not want you to know about this stuff or they will lose money!!!
