Excellent for clearing up post inflammatory hyper pigmentation. I'm fair skinned (very very pale), so I can scar easily. With trouble combination skin, acne, age, etc...this has been a problem I've dealt with for years, nearly decades. The problem with cystic acne is you can develop post inflammatory hyper pigmentation, which in simple terms are those dark splotchy purple/red spots that linger for months as it heals, sometimes even permanently scarring the area. And if you are older than your usual acne sufferer (ie a teenager), it takes even longer for them to go away because of the time it takes for collagen & elastin to be produced in the body. They are unsightly & seem to take forever to go away, especially if you get multiple flare ups of acne atop the same spot. Well, I finally managed to get the acne under control & decided I needed to get a product that could help clear up the dark marks left over on my cheeks. I've seen dermatologists multiple times for both acne & scarring, & although they are very capable, at times their remedies are costly. I needed something affordable and effective. I happened across this product amidst researched reviews & reports. It was priced affordably and seemed to have majority positive reviews on various sites. I did buy this elsewhere in a single tube to try it first, before investing in a multi-pack. There are two kinds: normal & oily skin. I got the one for normal, though perhaps I should have considered for oily, as it will moisturize the sites in which you apply it. But I've not broken out because of it thus far. I've used it for about a week now, apply twice a day as it recommends. I wash my face, treat it for acne, apply this (ONLY to the sites of discoloration), & top it off with sunblock. I wear sunblock anyway, but it is HIGHLY recommended that you wear it, especially when using this product. It works by inhibiting the production of melanin in the skin, within the site of application. Not using sunscreen/block, allows the spots to return once you have finishing using Ambi, because the skin's melanin is what makes us tan & freckle; protecting & reacting to the sun's rays. Thus, this will make you more photo sensitive to the sun for a while. It does have it's own sunscreen mixed in, but you should really be mindful of your skin (the largest organ of your body) & wear sunscreen everyday. & don't trust the ones only in your make up. It degrades over time & tends to be a low spf. I digress, in the short amount of time, Ambi has managed not to break me out further & the areas of extreme discoloration have already improved by 50%. I'm extremely please with the results. The majority of dark purple contrast has faded to a light pink or pale red. This type of result would have taken me weeks without assistance. Ambi recommends you use it for about 3 months & discontinue use thereafter. I would theorize that my spots will diminish adequately long before then. Remember, there is no magic cure or youth potion, but if you take care of your skin when you are in your teens & early 20's (avoiding excessive sun, wearing sunscreen, handling acne, etc...) you'll be much better off in the long run. And if you are going to use ANY lightening cream, be mindful that you are going to be more photosensitive afterwords; wear sunscreen.

Glytone SPF 40 is the best sunscreen I've ever used to date. I am 50. I have very fair and very sensitive skin and dislike wearing make-ups and heavy lotions. I bought this lotion because the women's lotion had such a strong perfume smell to it.I figured the only difference in the two would be the fragrance. Dermablend Dermablend Quick Fix Concealer SPF 30 - Natural, .16 oz

I used to adore Dermablend's Quick Fix (in Light).I have been using it to cover my very dark undereye circles for a few years now and would drive a good half an hour to find a retail store carrying it (usually JCPenney or Macy's).It covered very well and lasted quite awhile. But a few months back I was surprised to find that the price had increased to 22.00 from 18.00 and that the product itself was different!It was less makeup (4.5g as opposed to the original 5.9g) and the formula itself doesn't seem to cover as well. It seemed a bit on the lighter side, requiring much more product to cover the undereye area. I've tried to find the original product elsewhere but it seems to have been discontinued and besides finding a few on ebay, it looks like I may be on the hunt for a new concealer.For those who have never tried Dermablend, it still may be a better choice than the over-the-counter concealers if you have light to medium undereye circles, but as far as my own preferences go, I am dismayed that they messed with such a great product and additionally, increased the price.

I love beauty products, and always tend to go for the high end ones, not the cheaper walmart stuff. Every possible concealer, you name it, i have tried it. i am not wrinkled, i am in my early 30s, so it is not that i have some major wrinkle issue that is making it hard for me to find a product that does last. i used to use mac for a long time (in the little container, not the liquid ones), i liked it as it was dry and the shades were nice. But when i discovered Dermablend at a CVS, i was impressed by how much coverage it offered, how dry and lasting it was. i never liked liquid concealers, they are the worst. they cause creases when you laugh, even when you apply a setting powder which is terribly drying for yr eyes. i tried Dior's stick, it was just okay, however it was so small, it lasted hardly a few months. and when you think about the price, it is definitely not worth it. i tried chanel, lancome photogenic, clinique, mary Cohr, nars, bobbi brown, estee lauder, helena rubinstein, origins, even went to covergirl and maybelline in my search for THE ultimate concealer.

to me, concealer is THE most important part of my makeup because the best beautifier for the face is increased light around the eyes and on the T zone, before anything else. Dermablend is the only one that had all the following benefits:

1/ dry, not shiny (which is horrible under the eyes, and terribly aging) 2/ easy to apply 3/ HUGE (believe it or not, i bought my tube TWO YEARS AGO! and i apply it everyday!!!) 4/ you can add it over your makeup on the T zone during the day if you want to enhance your makeup, it blends perfectly5/ does NOT need touch ups, and i laugh every 3 minutes which usually causes creases 6/ non drying at all.

most importantly, THANK GOD AND THE HEAVENS, i NO LONGER HAVE TO HEAR MY MOTHER TELLING ME I HAVE TOO MUCH CONCEALER!!!!!!! i so hate dark circles that i always tended to apply too much concealer. with this one, i just need a little bit and it looks perfect!

tip >>> on a special day, use Mary Kay's ($4!!!) concealing base (i use the yellow after i got one for free) under my dermablend, and apply dermablend mostly on the eye bone under your eyes, then spray some Model in a Bottle makeup setting spray all over. you will look as good as the minute you applied them, whether you are 20 or 60. Take it from an expert!!

NEW UPDATE 3/21/2013: I FOUND A NEW product called DHC Velvet Coat to keep makeup INCLUDING concealer in place. and OH.MY.GOODNESS. that product is an absolute MUST for every lady who wants her makeup to last all day or all evening, and not to crease because of wrinkles or expression lines. That Velvet Coat is literally like GLUE and holds on to every drop of makeup you apply. terrific! i actually received a brochure from them by mail and it contained a few samples including this one. it works better than Model in A Bottle and lasts longer.

I've tried a number of concealers and Dermablend Quick Fix is by far the best I have ever tried! It goes on smoothly and easily and completely conceals the blue veins I have under my thin skin that make it look like I have dark circles under my eyes. I have fairly light skin, so I use the ivory, but I just think this is great stuff for any skin. One tube has lasted me for over a year, so it's an affordable product that is a must in my makeup bag.

accepting the concept that "no product is perfect" this one is the best that i have tried. i have dark circles above & below my eyes & patchy dark skin pigmentation above my lip. My wife is very picky about sunscreens, and hates the conventional, oily, smelly sunscreens. I'm glad I tried this one, because it is the only acceptable sunscreen for her.

I was getting concered about the Paraban in most sunscreens so I decided to try a mineral formulation.It's great.. Nice and creamy and scent free.. It absorbs into your skin after a few minutes with no white color on your skin. You can even go out without foundation if you want..but also a good makeup base..I ordered the 2 Pack, one for me and one for my husband..it was fine at first but later turned clumpy...then I read another reviewer's rating on another site who had this same problem.

I finally figured out that it turns clumpy when you SHAKE it.I have always been in the habit of shaking lotions, foundations etc to blend the ingredients...however, with this product all it did was UNblend the formula so DON'T SHAKE THIS TUBE...I'm using the tube that I didn't shake and it has been fine so far..The price is the best too...Sunscreens at the drugstore have gotten really expensive for some reason..a 1 oz container for the same price as 4 oz of this product.

I love this company's other products too..I have stopped using lip gloss with petroleum. Their Pineapple and Pomegrante lip glosses are wonderful and I plan to try the coconut next time I need lip gloss.. Also looking at their other products.

The tubes I got were very weird.The product falls apart when applied. . . hope others had more luck!

La Roche Posay Anthelios SPF 50+ Lip Stick 3 ml.

I have both La Roche extremely fluid for face and for body, and love them both (See my review on those). But the face fluid was inadequate to protect my lips for my 5 hr bike rides.

Before I bought this one, I read a negative review about its nasty flavor/taste. I was a bit hesitant, but I was glad that I went ahead anyway.

The lipstick does NOT have any off taste/smell. On the contrary, its smell is quite pleasant and neutral. I had it on when I had my food, and it didn't give any particular taste either. It protects my lips against the sun very well, no more painful burns or chips.

P.S. when you buy La Roche sunscreens, it is important to buy Anthelios XL line. It gives full protection against both UVA and UVB.

I was a little disappointed when I received this product because the main reason for my shopping was the easy way to use it as in display in the picture, specially when I am driving. Unfortunately, the one I got was the one that is shaped like a regular lipstick.

I've been using La Roche Posay lip stick for a while and it is a very good product. The company changed the stick and made it a little smaller than it used to be. Nevertheless, if you go under the sun, the lips are a very sensitive area that need to be well protected to avoid early aging or fever blister. The stick is perfect for that and have a great feel on the lips and a nice small odor. I recommand it strongly.

I have inherited very dark circles/ hollows under my eyes... lucky me.The hollows are sunken in so they are very, very hard to hide.Even if I cover the blue darkness, the shadows caused by the hollows still make the area appear dark and tired.I used this over a salmon-colored under-eye concealer/brightener.It sets the concealer and lightens the whole area.Best of all, it lasts the day.It is by far the best product I have used for this problem.

I have this in the fair/light.Because I have a shameful tendency to fall for "new" products, I rarely need to repurchase makeup.I have now purchased this product twice and it is worth every penny.It is a loose mineral so it should last forever, right?Well, I have two teenagers in the house who use it daily to hide whatever bump they've awoken to find residing on their face.One is a boy.Shhh, don't tell anyone.This concealer looks so natural people think he has escaped the cursed teen acne and has been blessed with my blemish free creamy skin (ha! I use it too).We don't tell anyone.He'd just die from the embarrassment.The best thing about this product, from a sanitary point of view, is the fact that it is a loose mineral and that we all use our own brushes (which, of course, I have to clean every darn day because they're teens and they can't be bothered) so we aren't creating a bacteria laden stew that can easily happen when sharing creamier cosmetics.This product covers without looking fake in broad sunlight, it seems to "melt" into your skin, the color is a perfect match for our pale skin and it is gentle enough to put directly over teen acne without exacerbating the problem.It also does a decent job of covering dark circles but if you've had a rough night you'll need to layer it.A fabulous product that does what it claims to do.

This is a nice concealer if you don't want to look too made up but need to even out some problem areas.I'm using it for sun spots and occasional acne.You can reapply for more coverage as needed but it won't make problem areas disappear completely.I actually prefer the way this works to a heavier stick concealer.I don't look like I'm wearing make-up but the sun spots and blemishes don't stand out anymore.I use this in the small problem areas and then apply a mineral powder all over to blend in; it looks very natural.

I like this product, but I don't love it. I find that it covers very well but I wish I would've gotten the light/medium shade instead of medium.. it was a little dark but nothing a little bit of loose powder won't fix. I also find that it applies very dry if you don't moisturize very well first. I will buy this again but in a lighter shade :) I love how it covers redness but it doesn't last all day. I find that it rubs off after a few hours, wish it lasted longer.

This stuff is wonderful!I have major issues with dark, purplish, acne scars and have tried practically every type of concealer, but this one is the best. It blends very naturally so it's great if want to layer for more heavy duty coverage yet won't look cakey.I break out quite easily but this is so light it doesn't give me any problems. Also it stays a long time, I even slept in it! Only complaints: the package is small and badly designed (it's easy to lose a bunch)also for drier skin it's necessary to use lotion or else it looks flaky. Overall it's much better than expensive department store products.
