Lip Treatment SPF-15

I just love this lip balm.I used to use chapstic moisturiser lip balm, and burts bees, but I like this the best of all!A little goes a long way, it just glides on in a light smooth coat.This tube lasts a long time.Love the smell and flavor-it doesn't taste like or go on like clumpy wax, and doesn't have a menthol smell like others do.The application lasts a long time, too, unless you wipe it off with a napkin or kiss it off!It feels like it conditions and sooths.I am buying more!

Note--

1. No amount of sunblock gives serious protection to your skin, not to mention your eyes. Wear a shirt and brimmed hat or UV-rated sunglasses. (A shirt soaked in water is much cooler than no shirt.)

2. Some amount of strong sun is needed for vitamin D and general health. However the face and hands are generally over-exposed and do not produce significant vitamin D. Therefore the most valid use for sunblocks is for the face and hands.

3. We do not really know the effects of zinc and titanium on babies or toddlers so why not just keep them out of strong direct sunlight?

4. This sunblock contains "aromatherapy" type oils, which are healthy for adults but may cause allergic reactions, and are probably not intended for children or pregnant women. For children and hypersensitive people I suggest:

Loving Naturals zinc-based SPF-30 sunscreen. 100% natural, thin.

Thinkbaby or Thinksport zinc-based SPF-30 sunscreen. 100% natural, thick.

TruKid Sunny Days. A few mild chemicals but very natural and easy to apply.

Accidentally, I bought a 50% sale of this moisturizer. My daily face ritual has never been the same. This is a great moisturizer with a light tint.

No allergies or anything. I truly recommend this product for people who doesnt like to user powder or foundation--only that light coverage with high SPF protection.

I also bought this on sale , which was why I was more inclined to try it. I love it, Goes on nicely and stays put the color is very sheer and pretty. I use it as a makeup base and feel good that its all natural.

I had to edit my review having used this for most of the summer, I found it doesn't screen the sun at all. I still am left with darker freckles on my face just from walking in the sun for short periods while wearing this.

I'm impressed with the Juice Organic tinted moisturizer.I like natural products and this goes onto the skin smoothly.It is light in color and I am fair skinned, so it looks great.I am bothered by a lot of allergies, but have had no problem using this product.

I decided to try this product because it was on the Enviornmental Working Groups list for safe skin products.It works great!The only negatives is that it has a funny smell which dissapates quickly but may bother some people.Also, the pump was not able to suck up any moisturizer so I have to open the cap and use the product....it is kind of thick...more like a cream.The mfg. should use a different type of bottle...perhaps a squeeze tube or a jar.I would use this product again but I would also try another product on the EWG list of safe skin care products.

Now we all know wear UVA&UVB protection is a daily must.

So far, with all the product I've tried, SkinCeuticals is a trustworthy company and makes good sunscreens.

I wear this everyday on my face in Summer, and I sweat a lot.

It doesn't leave a white film on my face like many sunscreens do, so when I sweat, there's no whitey water mark.

It doesn't have a strong nor bad smell.

Most important of all, it's a good physical sunblock that contains decent percentage of zinc, which means I get instant protection the second I put it on, unlike the chemical sunblock of which you have to wait for good 20-25 minutes for it to activate its protection.

P.S. It has both physical and chemical sunblock ingredients to ensure its effectiveness.

Skinceuticals is a good skin care company, I use the C E Ferulic face serum every day.But you can get just as good of a sunblock for much less I use Neutrogena Age Shield 45 and sometimes Neutrogena Dry Touch.Neutrogena products also protect against both UVA and UVB, and the Dry Touch is waterproof.

This is a tinted sun block, which makes it a decent make up primer. It does not have an overly greasy feel like other sun products, but it is also NOT water proof so it needs to be reapplied very frequently especially when outside. This product contains both zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, which is recommended by dermatologists to get the best benefit. Additionally, this product claims to have anti-oxidants in it, but does not list which antioxidants are actually in the formula.

The downside is the cost. I love some clinique products, but many contain fillers that make them seem more "cheap" to me-this is one of those products. I probably will NOT buy this product again, and recommend others research the ingredients in it to make sure you do not have a reaction to any of them.

I wear this every day.If I wear nothing else on my face, usually because I'm in a hurry, I use this, Clinique blush stick, and Clinique Soft Shine lipstick.But it can wear off easily in the heat.I like to use it with Clinique loose powder, which always brings great comments.No streaking, and it's a light enough color that fair (read: pale!) customers like me can use it without fear of looking like an Oompa Loompa...which was always my complaint when I used cheaper foundation.It's sheer enough, however, that it doesn't add lightening color, so I can't imagine it wouldn't work with darker skin tone.Another plus:I have three generations of melanoma in my family...anything I can do to add sun protection is welcome, and this saves the step of adding a separate sunscreen underneath foundation.

This is like my second skin. I remember when I started using it at the first time.

I was using the product that was only for making my skin brighter. One of my friends recommended it to me and when I put this and after a few hours later, I found that my face did not longer oily any more.

I got an oily skin so I could never use the sun block product for the face.

But this is just for me. It covers what I wouldn't like to show in my face and also does the sun-block.

I use this every morning even though I do not put any other make-up on my face.

I really like this sunscreen.Having very pale skin, I need to have a very high SPF sunscreen.This lotion is weightless and doesn't leave your face oily or shiny.It blends well, and is actually skin-colored as opposed to white.It does have a bit of a sunscreen smell, as another person mentioned, but that doesn't bother me.

Being a hairy guy, it's a lot of effort to spread a cream over my legs and arms (and it's futile to attempt my chest). However, this spray comes out as a fine mist that gets past my hairs to the skin. So, a spray and quick rub is all it takes. I still use a cream on my face because the alcohol base can sting (particularly after shaving).

Effectiveness: I'm a pale white northerner living in Miami. This stuff works.

Value: I find that a bottle last much longer than the aerosol sprays.

On-Skin Feeling: significantly less sticky/greasy than creams

Downside: when the bottle starts to get empty, it has to be upright to spray (which makes doing your own legs more challenging).

Living in Miami I have to sunblock year round and have tried lots of different sunscreen products. This has been my fave for the last four years.

It's a good solution for preventing sunburn on the scalp without wearing a hat.I use a lot of sunscreen and this isn't the best one I've ever used, but it's somewhat effective and doesn't leave my hair super greasy like regular sunscreen.

I love this product.I don't use it on the face, because it does not seem strong enough for my nose (very fair skinned).But for the rest of the body, it applies very quickly and works very well, especially if you have hairy arms, chest, etc.Seems to last much, much longer than the aerosol cans.Unfortunately, it's getting harder and harder to find in the stores.I'm glad Amazon still has it.Get it while you can.

I used this to go snorkeling (for the first time) in Bermuda.I applied about 1-2 hours before I actually went into the water (just because that's when I got dressed).

Some descriptions of products like this indicate that it is can be hard to apply (that it gets crumbly).I had no problem.I wiped on smoothly.I did notice some crumbling once, but that was mostly on the hand I was using to apply it.I rinsed my hand and continued applying the lotion.

After snorkeling, I applied a regular sunscreen and ended the day without any bad effects.

I did not use on my face because I had not tried it and was a bit afraid of a reaction since I have a tendancy to break out.

This is a very good product. Especially for the price. It is similar to high end foundation. I like loreal products. I just wish they would get the peta approval for no animal testing. But for drug store makeup it is very good. Not sure if it is made in the usa either. I prefer makeup to be made here. But nowadays finding products made in the usa is harder to come by.

I've been buying a lot of sunscreens from the Environmental Working Group's list of recommended sunscreens ([ ... ] ), and have been having a hard time finding a good face moisturizer that I'd wear every day.This sunscreen is not as thick as most of the others and rubs in pretty well, so doesn't leave your face all ghostly white or greasy.For that reason, it's the best one I've tried.I really did want a moisturizing sunscreen, and although it seems to moisturize, it's not the type of luxurious moisturizer where you feel that your face just drinks it up.I don't think it's possible in a healthy sunscreen, so it's about as good as it's going to get, I suspect.

I have been insistent upon using the most natural ingredients in and on my body now for the last few years.I found the Suntegrity line after much research.All reviews were positive and the mission of the company resonated with me(i.e. the founder started the company after her mother had skin cancer).

Quick points:

(Last note: Often times our pores become clogged not because of the sunscreen, but because we have not cleaned our skin thoroughly before applying the suncreen. I'm always careful to gently cleanse my skin and let it dry before applying a thin layer of suncreen.As well, in the evening after work, I am adamant about washing my face and exfoliating, making sure my skin is cleared of all residue. Remember, skin needs to breathe, so use minimal cleaning products, cosmetics, and sunscreen/moisturizers).

Great sunscreen. Better than burnout face spf32, blue lizard, shiseido urban sunscreen. The product was like marshmallowkinda gooey and sticky at first. I felt like I was putting melted orange-cream-ice cream-scented marshmallow on my face. But the sticky feeling goes away very soon. Also, white color dissipates almost 30 seconds later.

Burnout face spf 32 applied very light, non-greasy, and non sticky at the time of application with great feeling but left somewhat dry feeling as if skin is being pulled. Also a few minutes after application it feels somewhat sticky at the same time. Blue lizard face is actually pretty awesome. It's only $17 for 5oz of oil free and moisturizing sunscreen. This applies very very white but gets absorbed quickly. Leaves skin very moisturized yet not sticky or greasy at all. Skin feels better after wearing it. Suntegrity has a different texture and feels more moisturizing. As I've mentioned it feels more chewy at application and feels more hydrating, although that stickiness goes away. With suntegrity, skin got way~ better after using this product. Non comedonic, oil free and acne and rosascia gets better. So I rate this higher than blue lizard. It also uses better ingredient than blue lizard face(uses ZnO and octinoxate while suntegrity only uses ZnO). Shiseido urban sunscreen doesn't seem to have anything better. Uses combo of ZnO and TiO, not water resistant(suntegrity is not water resistant either), more hazardous according to ewg, not hydrating(could be a + for some people) and costs more. Shiseido urban would be good only if someone wants lighter product that is non-comedonic and light to feeling. You can apply make up immediately on top.

Suntegrity product not being water resistant can be a good thing since you can just wash it off with daily cleanser at the end of the day without using oil-based cleanser to remove water resistant products.

I'd say shiseido ultimate water-resistant sunscreen is something different. That one has better UVB coverage(higher spf), similar UVB coverage, and very water resistant. It still uses combo of ZnO16% , TiO, and Oxticnoxate(chemical) instead of only ZnO so Suntegrity is less hazardous according to ewg. I'd only use shiseido ultimate face sunscreen for beach or sport use. Burnout face spf 32 is also water resistant but I won't use that product due to it's weird feeling of sticky but dry feeling.

Con:

Not sure if it's due to high ZnO, but eyes get a bit dry and itchy. I already have some kind of dry eye syndrome which gets better with allergy med and eyedrop. But it doesn't go away when I wear this. But I'm sure most other people will be fine. Not water resistant.

This sunscreen takes a few minutes to 'soak' in, meaning that it goes one pretty white.The white does go away.It has a light citrus smell to it (which smells good and neutral). I just wish it absorbed quicker.

I have extremely sensitive skin and most sunscreens make my face red, swollen, and itchy. This product doesn't irritate my skin at all, and it seems to protect me well from the sun-exposure. At first application I used way too much---so it felt greasy and the citrus scent was annoyingly strong. But when I used lesser amount the second time, the result was great. It was not greasy (so I can use my moisturizer, then this sunscreen, and then wear my usual mineral make-up); it doesn't leave white streaks, and the citrus scent goes away after a while. I don't know if the antioxidant stuff they put in this cream will help improving my skin or not; but I am very happy with an all-natural, effective, and non-greasy sunscreen for my sensitive skin.

I should start by saying I have had horrendous acne my entire life, and it's such a bummer. I've tried everything, including Proactiv, and it just wasn't enough to stay with, considering the expense and extensive routine and just how damaging the stuff all way in drying out skin and bleaching towels and pillowcases. I've since had better luck by switching to Clearogen, mainly for the face wash and night treatments, and using drugstore brands for non-comedogenic moisturizers with spf.

But anyway, I left Proactiv, but could not live without Proactiv Solution Refining Mask. It's so great, and now, it's so affordable to buy on Amazon separately from the whole Proactiv set.

Use this at least once a week as a mask, and use it whenever needed as a spot treatment, and the effect is pretty impressive. It can certainly be a little drying, so be careful of not over-doing it in the beginning, but this stuff is super helpful. Seriously, just try this!

I love this product! I have had a lot of trial and error with face lotions. I have tried dozens and this does the trick for me! It keeps my skin moisturized, but not too oily and never dry. My biggest problem with face lotions is most make my skin too oily which makes me break out, but the products with sacylic acid or anything like that, doesn't moisturize my face enough and leaves my skin too dry which then causes my skin to overcompensate and I break out. This product is the perfect balance for me and it keeps my skin tone even. Now please don't take my review or any review as the end all be all, as everyone's skin is different and no review is going to tell you whats right for you until you try it! Now I hear this is being discontinued which makes me so sad, since I finally found something that works for me. So stock up!

Making the pump work... I've wasted time and energy and lotion pumping and pumping so both side work. I discovered if you take the white top off, you will see two little tubes on each side where the lotion and sunscreen each come out... whichever side isn't coming out just push down on the tube over and over until that side starts pumping out. Then pop the white top back on and your in business.

I initially was angry about this product. It took me a good 5 or 6 wasted pumps of the sunscreen to get the moisturizer to come out with it. It tells you in various places to tap the bottle on a hard surface if it doesn't start pumping with both. That led me to believe it was a common issue.

But once I got over the wasted couple tablespoons of product, I do really like this. It's doesn't leave you shiny and sinks in easily. It's oil free and non-comedogenic(won't clog pores). Very light fragrance, nothing overpowering or noticeable. Does not leave a white-cast like some sunscreen infused products can. It does seem to pill up a little(when you go back over the area you lotioned a couple minutes later, it rolls up into a little ball), and thats never good. But despite that I do still like this product and will use it. But those two major issues the pump and pilling lead me to give it 3 stars.

I was specifically looking for something at least 30 SPF with UVA/UVB protection, because otherwise, it's barely worth it. I think it's important to wear sunscreen daily as I am fair with freckles(which keep getting darker and producing little freckle babies) so it's a must. I also have sensitive, skin with hormonal breakouts, and my skin hasn't become angry... we've got happy skin here. Also, please don't forget to apply to the back of your hands, neck and chest area! Nothing worse then a pretty ageless face with spotted, wrinkly hands and chest.

Lastly, just for some technical info. It says PABA free on the box. Had no clue what this meant. After some research, I found PABA is para-aminobenzoic acid and has been discontinued from use in sunscreen products due to allergic skin reactions in some people.

What is the difference between a SPF 15 and a SPF 30 plus? A SPF 15 sunscreen absorbs about 93% of the UV, which means it lets 7% ofthe UV through into the skin.A SPF 30 sunscreen lets about 3.5% of the UV through.This means a SPF 30 sunscreen reduces by half the amount of UV getting through to the skin. However, you should still re-apply a SPF30 sunscreen product every two hours, just like you do a SPF 15 sunscreen product.

What do UVA and UVB mean? UVA are the long wave ultraviolet rays (from 320-400nm). UVA rays can penetrate to the deeper layers of the skin and produce delayed effects leading to accelerated skin aging. UVB are the shorter wavelength rays (from 280-320nm) which can produce immediate burning of the outer layer of skin, leading to sunburn in the short term and skin cancer in the longer term.

This product is too good for me not to defend. If you're having trouble getting both sides to pump out. Use your finger and cover up the side that does work, then keep gently pushing down the pump until the air pressure builds up and forces the other side to pump out too.

This product is actually two products in one bottle, a moisturizing lotion and a sun protection lotion. Instead of mixing the products together into one lotion, you get one bottle with two chambers so that the products dispense separately ... but then go together on your face. This is supposed to help preserve each product, but I'm not sure I get how this technology works to do that. It's an interesting concept nonetheless. But it also creates a big problem for me.

As of this writing, I have pumped the bottle at least 30 times, and all that's coming out is the green lotion (SPF). I have whacked the bottle against hard surfaces in every way and direction imaginable, stuck a thin needle down into the moisturizer side, and run water into the moisturizer side, but absolutely nothing is coming out! I have put it aside for now rather than continue to waste the green lotion, which feels hot on my face anyway (not a good sign -maybe the moisturizer would cool it down?). I see I am not the only one with this problem.Maybe Biore put out a batch where someone accidentally forgot to fill the moisturizer chamber. I plan to email Biore about the problem, but unfortunately their site is down at the moment. Perhaps all the customers trying to write in to complain about this product crashed it.

I didn't have any problems getting the pump to work. My problem is this leaves white residue all over my face and seems to make some spots even drier. I'm better not putting anything on.
