My family and I are lake people and are on the water every weekend in the summer.We use this product from early April until late October each year and LOVE it..... We have been using it for years and have never caught fire as the other opinion review posted.So more about the spray.We start out using this same product in the 8 in early spring but as summer gets here, we move back down to the 4 spf.It has a nice smell that is not overwhelming and it sprays on eveningly with no realy oily film.It keeps the skin feeling moist without feeling greasy (which I hate that greasy feeling).If you apply it to wet skin (immediately after swimming without towling off), the spray will turn white so be sure you are dry before reapplying after swimming.We do not spray it on our faces but we spray it in our hands and apply to our faces and it work great.We have never experienced any itching, burning or rashes with this as my kids have done with other tanning and sunscreen lotions.As with any spray product, if you spray it around glass or drinks, it will settle on your beverages so be careful about where you spray it.We have never had any problems with it discoloring our boat carpet or seats either like we have with other lotions over the years.I would give this a big thumbs up.It is all we use and have used from the last 7-8 years and trust me. We have tried hundreds of products and spend lots of money on crappy products that did not work. I see posts about people catching on fire using this product.Duh.. It is an aerosol product.Just like hairspray, if you spray it while you are smoking or around open flames, you will not like the outcome.. Use a little common sense people.
If we ever catch on fire using this product and I am able to post it here, I will let you know.
There have been reports of four people catching on fire from the Banana Boat Ultramist products.Based on this I would say, do not buy this.You can research this on the internet but unfortunately I can't post a link here for it.
"If a consumer comes into contact with a flame or spark prior to complete drying of the product on the skin, there is a potential for the product to ignite." This was stated by the manufacturer.
This product is not one on the list of about 25 recalled products, although it does have the Ultramist label.I had some of this and liked it but I threw it away after the news reports.I just wanted to let people know there might be a problem that's serious with these Ultramist products.

Shimmering Skin Perfector SPF 25+
I was so excited to start using this product after hearing Lisa Eldridge repeatedly gushing over it. I do believe it's a good product, definitely high quality, but it's not for someone with iffy skin texture (obviously, and with most shimmering face makeup). I had a few existing tiny bumps that would catch in the light after applying it, but that's not the product's fault! It's also very natural looking, especially compared to other "skin illuminating" products on the market. Now I've just got to work on my skin!

I just recieved it couple days ago and I'm in love with it.It's the best highlighter for my skin and it's not too shimmery it gives you that healthy glow and it stay on all day long.The only thing is that it's pretty pricey but definitely worth it.The good thing is that you don't need to use the full pump whenever you pump it out, I just use half of that and it's just enough and I'm sure it'll last me for a good while.Want Shimmering Skin Perfector SPF 25+ Discount?
I love this product.. I am not a product junkie. I use this product on my cheek bones and temples after little bit if foundation all over the face. It gives good definition to my face..gives it a healthy glow.

This is a spray lotion, which is very different than other "sprays."You still have to spend a bit of time rubbing in this product.For the price, I'd get another aerosol that sprayed a finer mist and covered better without rubbing, or a cheaper lotion.On the plus side, it didn't irritate the skin of my 2-year old, who has had problems with some other sunscreens.
Oh and of course they've changed oops, corrected all the verbiage in the advertising since I bought and now I'm stuck with 9 bottles of this stuff...Anyone interested?COME ON!

This sunscreen is very light, has no fragrance, and hasnt caused my sensitive skin any breakouts or irritations even after a month of using.Its supposed to be a combo moisturizer, primer, sunscreen and for me, it works great for all 3... plus it has vitamin c which works well with my skin.I can stay out in the sun all day and not get burnt and it doesnt burn my eyes.

I only purchased this because of the steep Amazon discount... This product is really good to help prevent my skin to peel (I got huge sunburns!), good hydration, and I am keeping a nice tan. The only bad thing about it is its smell... a mixture of coconut and orange, hard to describe, but the resulting scent is not very pleasant (to me at least). I had been using a regular old Olay Touch of Foundation and couldn't find it anymore; so I decided to try this 7-in-1 Anti-Aging Daily Moisturizer as I really dislike wearing regular foundation; and I wanted something without sunscreen.The first day I wore it, a friend of mine commented "You look great--you look like . . . you've had a facelift or something." I didn't realize til later that it must have been the tinted moisturizer. And just today, someone commented that I looked about 15 years younger than I actually am--she said my skin looked so smooth. Well, I think that's the product. I have sensitive, dry skin and rosacea, and while this product doesn't actually cover the redness, it seems to tone it down.

I love this moisturizer.It's hard to match my coloring and harder still for me to apply foundation with patience, so I tend to stay away from heavy foundations.But this is fairly light, and still provides the appearance of more even, brighter, tighter skin.I can layer it easily as well depending on the coverage I am looking for.I also notice the fine lines around my eyes less, and this produict feels amazing once it's on.The only drawback is that you may need additional products for when you just want hydration and not foundation (like nighttime).And this probably goies without saying, but you will want to wash your face to avoid small pimples.
This is probably one of the best products Olay has produced. I've used it for 2 weeks and see noticeable improvements to my face, particularly around the eyes. I work with my hands have been less than gentle with them. Since using this product on my hands, my husband has commented on how soft my hands have been, and again, I can see and feel a positive difference. I read that this was voted the best facial sunscreen, so decided to try it.It has done an amazing job of keeping new freckles from forming (and I live in Florida!).Of course I try to stay in the shade whenever possible.I have normal skin, and this gives just enough dewiness to it.I have had so many compliments on my glowing skin, I feel like I've got this great secret!It gives a pretty good tint, too.Sometimes I wonder if it doesn't match to my neck, but it's not a huge difference.I have pretty light skin.I highly recommend if you have dry to normal skin.Might be too much for oily skin...

This is a wonderful product. I've sampled myriad hand and body lotions; some smelled good but didn't work, some worked but didn't smell good. If you read the ingredients of this lotion, you may a little disappointed by the company's "All the good stuff, none of the bad stuff" slogan, but I didn't find the contents unduly alarming.
I've tried enough lotions to be a bit jaded about new ones, but I have a soft spot for honey-related ones. So I sampled the tester in a store and was instantly hooked on the fragrance. (Also, the lotion worked nicely!) I was surprised to discover how long the scent lingered; I got compliments on the fragrance over an hour after applying the sample. Oh--and my skin stayed soft. I have been using Naked Bee lotion for about a year now. It's the only lotion I've found that doesn't have alcohol (which dries out your skin) and makes my skin feel soft and moisturized even after I wash my hands. This stuff smells really good. And it seems to do a great job at moisturizing my man skin. The only issue I have and it is not a big issue at all, is that it really stanks. Not in a bad way, but when you rub this stuff on your body you smell of it's aroma very pungently.If they kicked back the strength of the odor 20%, I would give it five stars, but I can deal with the super charged aroma if I must:)

I was excited to try this product. I've seen a number of great reviews on it so I couldnt wait to get my hands on it. I do like the product but i dont love it. The color pay off isnt what i thought it would be. I expected to turn out DARK but that didnt happen. The tan does not last 6 to 12 days as stated on the bottle. I dont know if im doing something wrong but i dont think ill be rebuying this product.
If you're hesitating.. DON'T. Just give in. I promise you it's worth it.

After hearing great reviews for this self tanner, I decided to purchase it and THANK GOODNESS I DID!!!! The color is sooo natural, not ORANGE! To apply it, I spray it on the brush first then "paint" my body. I find that this application is easier than spraying directly on the body. Also, when spraying directly on the brush, it prevents the product from landing on the floor and having it go to waste. I find that the color is most developed on the 2nd day. I apply it before bed, sleep, then rinse off the color guard in the morning. The results are GREAT!! Something else that is amazing about this product is that it fades evenly, not splotchy! I had never self tanned before I bought this product, so I was a little sceptical but after using it I have to so say I was really impressed. It smells good, its not orangy, it applies super easy, dries very very quickly, and fades slowly with no weird lines or obvious fading. Also, I bought extreme and was pretty pale and the tan icon extreme worked really well for me, im absolutley in love!

Colorescience Pro Sunforgettable SPF 50 Powder Brush Refill - Medium 6g
A few months ago I was working with my skin doctor's office getting chemical peels to reduce my acne every month. This sunscreen/makeup powder is what they use on all their patients and though I no longer get peels I still use this as my powder when I put on my makeup every day. It does not clog my pores and the sunscreen protects my very fair and sensitive (Irish) complexion. I think I will keep using this for a long time.
Mexitan SPF 15 All Natural Biodegradable Sunscreen 8oz
OK, the stuff is called 'Mexitan', and you have to admit that's pretty cheesy.The 'all natural' and 'biodegradable' thing caught me, though, so I ordered it.I thought it was going to be one of those hippy products that sound wonderful but don't work.I was surprised.This stuff is *excellent*.Mexitan (I still can't get over the name...) goes on smoothly and stays on even after swimming.It's thicker than some other products, but I like that.A little goes a long way.I've used it on the kids, and they like it too.It doesn't really smell like anything.There's no strong perfume to knock you out.Once it's on, it's invisible, but you have to rub it in really well.If you use too much you will end up with that white-clown-makeup look.
I will definitively buy this again.We frequent the beach often, and spend a lot of time in the sun.This year I have the best no-burn suntan I've had in my adult life.
1. The best sunblock in the world isn't as effective as protective clothing that blocks the light.This means a layer of tight-woven fabric that can fully block sunlight, and a broad-brim hat or umbrella.
2. If you're not going to cover up like that, then you need a sunblock.There are two types: "physical blockers" and chemicals that are, effectively, UV dyes.The later category are normally called "chemical" blocks and include things like Avobenzone etc.The word "chemical" is not the accurate scientific usage, because zinc oxide is a chemical just as much as Avobenzone is, it just isn't a dye.However I'll use those terms because, inaccurate as they are, those are the terms in common use.
3. The best sunblocks are the "physical blockers" which include both zinc oxide and titanium dioxide.Failing that you need a broad-spectrum "chemical" blocker.
The problem with the physical blockers is they do create a transparent white-ish film on the skin.Hardly visible, but it's there.The problem with the "chemical" sunblocks is that they have a tendency to cause eye irritation, etc.On the balance, I prefer the superior protection and lack of irritation from the "physical blockers".
Of the physical blockers, zinc oxide is broader spectrum, but it's best to have a sunblock that has both the zinc and titanium.
Which brings us back to this sunblock.It's titanium and zinc.It's in a big bottle.Really, when you're getting a physical blocker sunblock that's titanium and zinc, they're all the same.The differences are in packaging, smell, marketing, feeling of the carrier (lotion), etc.The active ingredient is what it is and I doubt there's any difference from one zinc oxide to another zinc oxide.
For me, I like this lotion because the lotion feels good, smells good, and it's cheap.Don't believe marketing claims.Just go with a zinc / titanium that's pleasant to use, such as this one.

I've used Mexitan 15 and 30 on crazy hot / bright days, and spent a lot of time out in the sun. It works great, stays on for a minimum of 3 hours (which was as long as I spent outside). You do need to make sure and rub it in to disappear, but I think that's actually a plus you know when it is in good for maximum protection. Smells good too (not like chemicals). LOVE IT..

I spent a long time researching sunscreens that were actually more beneficial than harmful to the body. This sunscreen fits the bill perfectly. It's also biodegradable so you can safely use it if you go to eco-parks which is a nice feature.
I've used this sunscreen in Mexico, Aruba and the Gulf Coast and it's worked perfectly everywhere. You do need to reapply if you go in the water as it gets washed off. There is also a learning curve to the application process. Unfortunately this is the sacrifice to having a healthy sunscreen. You pretty much need to apply it until the white tint goes away and stop. If you continue to rub the sunscreen will begin to flake off.
Beyond this small issue this sunscreen is perfect. Other sunscreens might be easier to use but much more harmful to you than this stuff.

This sunscreen goeson very easily a little bit thicker than traditional brands, but easily rubs into the skin without leaving a film on the skin.It hasa little bit of a fruity smell(which I like).I have used it on fairly hot days when I have gone running and it seemed to protect without sweating off.My husband uses the SPF30 and it works just as well.He has had problems in the past with sunscreen stinging his skin -no problem with this brand.I recommend it.

This product is more expensive than other natural sunscreens I've used, but it worked really well. The spray nozzle helped with application and it rubbed in much better than most natural sunscreens. Two hours at the pool, and children were completely protected with just one application.One note: the spray is a little messy when you first put it on, so be careful to hold the sprayer close to your skin to avoid drips.

I was so disappointed when I received this product. It did not spray at all but streamed out. The sunblock left the skin white & didn't rub in well. I tried putting the sunblock in a different spray container hoping the sprayer was the issue. It wasn't. Even when in a spray bottle with a fine mister the sunblock dribbled out.
