Based on my concern about harmful ingredients in chemical-based sunscreens, I purchased this product after researching not only its high rating on the Environmental Working Group's website, but what seemed like it glowing reviews from both the founder of the company and people who have utilized the product.
My initial time using the sunscreen, I burned. Thinking that I was, perhaps, not applying correctly or in enough quantity I contacted the company. I was told that literally tens of thousands of people had said the product worked amazingly for them, so it must be something I was doing wrong. Seemed like a defensive response and somewhat unbelievable, but I gave it another shot on a bright, sunny day where I was out on a boat for several hours. I applied in a thickish layer, making sure to reapply every two hours or less. Well, I was dismayed to find out that, again, I burned, as if I had not been wearing sunscreen at all!
Since this product is twice the price of others, I asked for a refund since the product did not work for me. Was told by the company, "We don't give refunds" and basically told that my complaint was the very first the company had ever received. Really? I find that very hard to believe. In any case, it seems as though the product is not living up to its hype and the company refuses to take customer concerns into consideration. Too good to be true.

The negative reviews here are based on the 2010 formulation.We took some of the feedback relating to oily and "whitening" to task over the winter months.The 2011 formulation is far superior.It applies virtually clear and is not oily.It is also much easier to apply and is very water resistant.

My only complaint would be that I'm worried about the SPF coverage. I was looking for a tinted moisturizer to use in place of my everyday moisturizer and foundation. I love that this has SPF but I'm not sure I'd get adequate coverage unless I used a generous amount in which case it might feel like allot of foundation (although still less in comparison to other brands) not to mention how quickly you'd use it all since its a small 1oz tube.

I was looking for an all natural and affordable facial cream, and found it with Desert Essence.I am a faithful user of their Cleanser and Tea Tree Oil Pads, but could not find any of their lotion products in the Boston area, so I turned to amazon in my search, thank God I did!This cream is thick and luxurious, and I feel like it really does provide a nice moisture barrier for my skin, which I am in dire need of after such a harsh winter. Wish I had found it months ago!
Pro's: Very creamy, very moisturizing, but not greasy, softens skin, affordable, all natural
Con's: Wish it would spread more easily...I would suggest using it on damp skin to help it spread. Would be nice if it came in a larger size, I can tell I am going to go through this very quickly!

I use this during the summer & it's a nice protective moisturizer.It's a bit thick, but in the humid weather it glides on fine.I like that it's non-greasy for a moisturizer with sunscreen & has a mild, pleasant scent.It seems that moisturizers with sunscreen usually make skin a little shinier than ones without, but I have oily skin and this works great.Gentle & no break-outs.I wish it was a little more affordable (can't find it for less than $12), but compared to others that have less natural ingredients, it's not so unreasonable.I don't think it's supposed to be water/sweat proof, but I've never been sunburnt while using this & I live in a humid climate.It works well under makeup too.Overall, the best sunscreen moisturizer I've found--Recommended.

If you want your eyes to water all day long from burning. Buy this. I don't know how it does it. I put it on puffiness well below my eyes and it still burns them, waters them and ruins my makeup. I bought three different products to try. I circulated them and this was the worse. Did not help the puffiness either. Well I didn't leave it on long enought to find out since it burned my eyes. It must be all the "natural" stuff in it.Don't get me wrong I love natural. But this sucks.

I like very much the ingredients of this eye cream added to the fact that it's natural. I thought such a combination of ingredients would work for de-puffing my eyes but it didn't do much. I've been trying to find a daily lotion that helps prevent wrinkles and gives me SPF protection. I am turning 30 this year so I figured it's time to take care of my face. So far I've tried Olay's Regenerist SPF 15 lotion with mediocre satisfaction so I decided to try this L'Oreal product. I like how it seems to absorb into my skin upon application and it dries quicklyunlike the Olay lotion I tried. It doesn't make my face feel greasy or oily and the smell isn't unpleasant.However, I am very disappointed that this lotion seems to rub off. It's kind of hard to explain. One day I rubbed my eye and all of a sudden there were tiny white granules caught in my eyebrow, eye lashes, and on my skin. As I tried to sweep these clumps off more lotion kept crumbling off. I was not wearing make-up, just the lotion. I have never experienced anything like that with a lotion, or a make-up for that matter. It was bizarre. For a day lotion I want something that will stay on my skin with normal interactions. If this lotion didn't crumble off I would like it for the reasons I mentioned above but I don't like what happens to it. If you do wear make-up over it then the make-up crumbles off with it. I apply powder sometimes and touched my face and had little tan granules all over the place. Not attractive.

After you tan, it leaves you with a very sweet scent called Champagne Fizz.To me, it smells like watermelon and it's very light.I also like the Face Bronzer but I kinda wished it had the same scent.I love this tanning lotion.I could do without the little pieces of glitter that come off the outside of the bottle, but the lotion is awesome.

Suds up nice, leaves face squeaky clean and has hardly any scent at all. Contains aloe and sage which is nice and feels good on the skin.

Lathers up well, doesn't smell like anything really, doesn't make skin tingle, gives you a nice clean shave and does provide smoothness with its contents of macadamia oils and soy.
The Facial Moisturizer:
The ingredients are Blue algae and sea parsley don't know what they do for the skin but this stuff does have SPF 15 in it and really goes on like a sunscreen.If you put too much on your face will be WHITE for a bit until it soaks in.Also, hardly any smell does soften the face and lasts pretty much all day in the office.
Overall I like the natural ingredients of each item.What I am baffled at is the lack of smell/scent from each item.Which is no big deal because I don't like overpowering smells.But I can't even describe a smell as it is so faint for each item.I am not sure if I would buy again though.Outside of the beneficial natural ingredients there really isn't much else to make you want to 'come back.'Especially at $8+ per tube!

I love this moisturizer, wearing it every single day and sometimes at night. It is the lightest SPF moisturizer I have found; in fact it just makes my skin feel healthy and moist, not like I have a layer of lotion on. Absolutely non-greasy, and with nothing to bother even the most sensitive skin, it's the perfect daily moisturizer. It now has antioxidant vitamins E & C as well. I'm a huge fan of all the Olay moisturizers. My mother has worn them for 30+ years and has the skin of someone 10 years her junior. She started before the SPF was introduced, so I'm hoping for even better results. I've tried more expensive department store brands, but I always come back to this relatively inexpensive tried-and-true formula.
Give it 2-3weeks and I gaurentee you will be glad you tried it, it is light and thirst quenching on the skin and seems to cover a multitued of tasks, you will not need seperate creams for eyes etc. My tip is to use it a s a night and day cream after gentle washing and exfoliaiting the face. By night put slighty too much on so as the skin has to slowly drink it in.
You really will see a plumpness and radiance to your face in this space of time. This stuff is not bank breakingly expensive either.

Since I've turned 20, I have had problems with blemishes. So, for the last few years, I began to try many different face cleansers and lotions to solve the problem, and finally stumbled upon this one. It's lightweight and definitely moisturizes just enough. I never feel like my face is oily or greasy. My blemishes haven't completely gone away, but ever since I began using this lotion, my skin has been noticeably clearer. I assume it's because it doesn't clog my pores like my old lotion must have. The only complaint I have is about the bottle. When you squeeze it, you either get no lotion, or the lotion explodes everywhere. This product does work exceptionally well... The salons try to sell it for $150.. There came a point when I couldn't get any to pump out, but knew there was still some left in the bottle. I took it home to my husband and asked him to "saw" the top of the bottle off so I could use the rest of the lotion. He came back in from the garage bearing a tiny bottle that is inside the original casing. Such a sham. I will never buy this product again, nor will I ever let the sales people at the salon talk me into buying things. Can't imagine how upset I would have been if I had actually spent $150.
I've been a CT7 user for years. The other day, my Tanning consultant recommended Cypher (which is California Tan's new high end). The very first time I used it, I saw outstanding results. It's pretty expensive, but I actually have to tan once per week (in a high pressure bed) to get the same results as using CT7 twice a week. I definitely recommend!

I noticed bumps around my mouth the same day but didn't realize it was from the creamtill day two when I saw bumps EVERYWHERE and these are the tiny ones that if you touch them they pop and are painful :0(I usually stick to Neutrogena and Oil of Olay, this is a sign I shouldn't use cheap freebies I'm not familiar with.
