Maybelline New York Baby Lips Moisturizing Lip Balm, Grape Vine, 0.15 Ounce

I bought this after seeing the adds for Maybelline Baby Lips in several magazines.I'm always curious about new lip conditioning products because I am very picky when it comes to sticky products.I am more of a stain than a gloss girl for exactly this reason.I picked up the clear version at Target, and I liked the texture, but the generic smell was kind of irritating.This version however has a candy grape smell that may not be what you look for everyday, but it is fun to be sure.The tint is very slight, sort of like if you ate a grape popsicle.Subtle enough for everyday wear for someone who doesn't often wear lip color like myself.Overall I was pleasantly surprised with the product in terms of both color and texture.I would highly recommend.

I have purchased many different tinted lip balms in search of the "perfect" product. I've often been disappointed, either by the poor texture of the balm or by the unnatural color. However, I heard good things about Maybelline's Baby Lips line, so I first tried "Peach Kiss" (Maybelline New York Baby Lips Moisturizing Lip Balm, Peach Kiss, 0.15 Ounce).While I did like the peach, I found the tint to be barely noticeable, so I was eager to try another shade/flavor.

I am very pleased with Grape Vine!It has a pleasant scent, although not quite as nice and fruity as the Peach Kiss, which I loved. The balm goes on smooth and feels great on my lips. I love that the product contains SPF as well, and also that there no irritating ingredients (I've had trouble with peppermint oil in particular in other products). I found the Peach Kiss to be a bit drying after being on my lips for several hours, and I don't seem to be having that problem with Grape Vine.Best of all, the color of Grape Vine, while still a subtle tint, definitely gives a more substantial, noticeable shade to my lips, which is what I want for days that I forgo lipstick.

I am definitely satisfied with this product overall, and I would recommend both Grape Vine and Peach Kiss, depending on what you are looking for.If you do purchase Baby Lips, however, I would suggest you buy in stores rather than on Amazon, where you can find the balm for less than half the price listed here.

This lip balm is awesome! It lasts for a good amount of time it it just the right amount of color.Since I have dark lips I got this color and it looks so good! I wouldn't say that it is as pigmented as a lipstick but it gives color that you would be able to notice.Also, this lip balm is very moisturizing and even when you take it off your lips feel really soft.I hope this helps!

Smells nice and glides on nicely however it does not absorb or moisture and wears off after 20 mins or so. I've been using it for at least a month and it definitely leaves your lips feeling dry afterwards. It's too bad cause I really wanted to like this lip balm...it reminds me of the lip balm that came out back in the 80's called Kissing Koolers by Maybelline.

I notice my lips chapping. It feels great when I apply it as my lips feel so smooth and nice but after a half an hour or so, I notice my lips peeling off. Not sure if anyone else experiences this, but it applies on smooth but leaves your lips very chapped. I would not purchase again. Sucks because I liked the nudish/pinkish hint on my lips.

Clinique claims this is targeted protection for lips, eyes and other sensitive areas, due to very sensitive eyes I can only use this on my lips and ears. The consistency is VERY thick. For this reason I find it difficult to use in and around the eye area, my eyes water a lot when applied anywhere near my eyes.

Although this makes a decent lip protestant, it is not nearly hydrating enough to be used as a balm. When I initially started using this product, my full and usually well hydrated lips started peeling and became very dry.

The only place listed that I have no trouble using it is on the tops of my ears. It is nice and compact, so if you need quick application this works great. To any concerned with the SPF smell, this almost completely odor free. It is not for long term use, I generallly need to reapply this every hour to 70 minutes or I will burn.......even when I am not active.This is also NOT waterproof.

Dermalogica Sheer Tint Moisture SPF 15 - Dark

I thought this product said "Dark" because it is meant for darker, African American, skin tones. In most other lines, including Smashbox, Stila and Boots #7, the "Dark" tinted moisturizer suits my skin tone (I could be considered light brown skin). However, this does not at all. Maybe by "Dark," they mean "Tan" Caucasian skin. Also, I really didn't find this product to be very moisturizing. It's not quite a moisturizer, and not quite make-up. Not impressed.

This is my go to lotion if I need a touch of color. I also love that it has spf 15. It's not heavy or think and doesn't streak. It does not look like a bronzer when you apply it, it just gives you some color and makes you look like you had a touch of sun. Love it!

It helps to quickly exfoliate the dead, dried skin from chapped lips, and stays on after application. It is necessary to wipe it away from the corners of your mouth, because for some reason it stays white there. This works much better than any stick type lip protector I've ever used, and it can be used under lipstick if applied lightly.

No other lip balm is as moisturizing as Vanicream. It is also the only lip balm that doesn't cause me to break out around my mouth. I love it and will not use anything else. The only downside is that it is difficult to find in stores.

I absolutely love this lotion, I have used so many different kinds and this is added to my favorites, it is a tingle but its not that hot "to me" but I don't feel them anymore, so if you are just starting tingle I recommend wait a little while before using this, it turned me dark red/brown, it is very moisturizing and I LOVE the smell, the scent is "wicked strawberry" it's not over powering and just has a small hint of strawberry kind of reminds me of a very weak strawberry incense, I used it as soon as I got it, about an hour later I can say I got great color not orange but a dark bronze and I didn't feel that it washed off in the shower, so over all I LOVE this lotion + the price, and I would recommend this to everyone!!! I have tried several tanning lotions and I know tanning is not good for you but if you want to get a quicker tan so you don't have to be in the beds as often this is the product.It helps me tan faster than anything I have used in the tanning beds.It does have a tingle factor but nothing I couldn't stand.

I have used tens of tanning lotions in the past, but this one is by far the worst that I have ever used! I feel bad to even give it one star! As soon as I put this tanning lotion on my skin, even before getting in the bed, my skin started burning like crazy, as if I was burnt on the stove. When I got in the bed, I became very, very itchy and the entire 20 minute session was an itch fest for me. When I got out of the bed to examine my "tan", I noticed a ton of blotchy dark red spots all over my skin. They didn't go away for hours! And I know it wasn't an allergic reaction because when my friend tried it, the same thing happened to her. This is a terrible product! I do not recommend it at all, unless you want to burn and itch all day! Terrible!

I'm not really sure how this product works, but it does!I've been trying to grow out my hair for more than a year.Before discovering Follicle Mist by accident I was using Nioxin follicle booster which I have to say helps to grow out hair on thinning areas, but it is messy and not practical to use on the whole scalp twice a day. I have used this for over a month now, and I noticed that after a while it dried out my hair. I have type 4c kinky hair so I am not too sure if the amount of protein in the product had anything to do with it. It however did make my scalp feel very invogarated and I liked that a lot. Now, my evaluation of the Neutrogena ultra gentle soothing lotion: It is just okay.Texture is wonderfully smooth and creamy.SPF at 15 is useful.But I find the scent to be overwhelming (other reviewers found it mild).I am sensitive to the sunscreen ingredients avobenzone, octinoxate, octisalate, which sting when they get in or near my eyes.I will do as other reviewers suggest and use this lovely, smooth lotion on my arms and hands.

Based on previous experience with the Olay products I have used for years (which carry most of the same claims) I made the bad leap in logic of assuming that a product with these claims would also be fragrance free.Wrong!On the side of the box (something you don't get to see when ordering online) is the following statement:

"Contains a gentle hypoallergenic fragrance uniquely developed for sensitive skin."

GENTLE???I had to immediately go wash my hands after testing the first application on the back of my hand because the fragrance was so overwhelming.To write this review, I used it on my hand again, but left it on a while to see if the fragrance dissipated or ceased to bother me.Nope...still bothered me.

I have yet to be able to actually use it on my face or neck, where it is intended to be used.This is disappointing to me, not only because the lotion is now unusable to me but because I am not able to write as thorough a review as I would like.For the record, while the fragrance seemed perfumy on first application, on closer inspection it smells more like it may containe eucalyptus oil.If you are the type who can't handle going into dried flower or candle shops, you will probably be bothered by this fragrance.

What I can tell you (aside from the product's claims and the fragrance) is that the bottle is 4.0 fluid ounces and comes with a pump.The lotion has a lovely consistency, very smooth and creamy between my fingers.If you don't have fragrance sensitivity problems, I think it is probably quite a nice product.I will give mine away to a friend since I am unable to use it.

Sadly again this product made me break out and it does nothing for redness at all. ()I have sensitive, acne prone, AND dry skin.And because of the acne, I use topical medicines that dry my skin even further.It makes for a frustrating combination because I need something that won't cause breakouts or irritation, but that will also keep me sufficiently moisturized.This lotion is wonderful because it succeeds at doing all three.What I love most is that it dries quickly so I can put on makeup primer and foundation almost immediately afterwards.This is a huge plus because who wants to wait around for her lotion to dry before she goes on with the rest of her beauty routine?The only downside is that this still isn't potent enough to use just once a day.I usually have to apply 2-3 times a day in order to keep my skin soft and hydrated, but it is otherwise a great product.I've since repurchased this multiple times because even though this lotion isn't perfect, it has worked better than any other brand I've tried for my needs.I've tried more expensive brands but I keep coming back to this because it is so gentle and soothing on my skin.

()I have very sensitive skin and am chemically sensitive when is comes to artificial fragrance.I used this on the back of my hand and not my face which I'm glad I did.The fragrance was quite strong and I found it stings a bit on application.While it did absorb nicely, and did not leave a greasy feel I would not consider this ultra gentle.For those that generally don't have reactions this lotion would probably be a good option.If you have sensitive skin or are sensitive to fragrances then I would recommend you look for something different.

I just got back from a vacation near the equator. I was on the beach and in the ocean every day. My friends thought I was nuts for buying a $50 bottle of sunscreen until they realized that I was only applying it once a day (with one late-afternoon touch up just on the tops of shoulders, nose, feet, calves) and that I never burned. Dermalogica Oil Free Matte Block SPF 20 Sunscreens

Great for people with oily skin since not only does it provide UVA and UVB protection it also absorbs oil, its non-comedogenic and moisturizes well for one with oily skin; not a combination easily found, usually people have to make trade offs. This one has it all.If you have dry skin this is not for you. Only complaint is if you have slightly darker skin (I'm of east Indian decent) it will leave a white film on your face.Most of the time the white film disappears after about 40 minutes or less, depends how much you put on. None the less, I like this product even though it is pricey.

This is a great product for anyone with oily skin.I love it.It keeps my face shine free all day and does not clog my pores.I think it is pricey, but when you get good resultsit's worth it.It also works well with my makeup.

Fallene Face Cotz Water-Resistant Sun Protection UVA/UVB SPF 40, 1.5-Ounce Tube

This is a great product for people who have sensitive skin, but also for anyone who needs a facial sunscreen.

I got hooked on Face COTZ when I received a sample size of it with another purchase (garden hat).

The sunscreen does not come out like most other sunscreens which have the consistency of cosmetic moisturizer/face cream, more liquidy and slightly greasy/oily. Instead, it is a thick but light, silky white substance. When you rub a small amount into your skin, it disappears entirely not just in color, but it makes no visible change in the skin surface. But what I love is that when you put it over your entire face, it makes the skin so smooth, silky, pleasurable to the touch. Again, it doesn't change the skin visibly at all once you rub it in, you look just like you did before you put it on. But the skin surface is smoother, and you can feel it with your fingers, though you can't "feel" it on your skin (like you can when something is sitting on the skin, clogging your pores, etc.)

I have problems with anything I put on my face making my skin turn bright red and painful. Good old sensitive skin. I've tried dozens of products, including ones that are marketed for sensitive skin, and have the same problem.

(You'd be surprised how many "sensitive skin" products are out there loaded with parabens and other known skin irritants. How any company thinks thatthe label "sensitive skin" is applicable to a product containing those ingredients, I don't know, but apparently they basically market the same products with differing labels just to squeeze profit out of as many subsets of the market as possible. Anyway...)

I've finally found a few good old standbys, and Face COTZ is one of them. I can put it on alone or I can put it on under my makeup (something else my skin is extremely picky about). It makes no difference whatsoever, except that my skin is protected from sunburn. And it lasts much longer than the SPF 15 that most facial products carry. Usually, anything with a high SPF is more likely to irritateyour skin, but not with COTZ.

Also, since getting introduced to Face COTZ, I've given up on moisturizers. The COTZ is enough. This will differ depending on your particular body chemistry, but I mainly needed a moisturizer for the sun protection, and every other facial sunscreens just made my face feel greasy, made me sweat just sitting at my desk, and made my skin break out whereas moisturizers are a bit better on that score. But the COTZ is even better than those. I don't have oily/greasy issues at all now. It doesn't block my pores and make me sweat. It just rubs in and protects my skin from the sun. Absolutely perfect.

People with sensitive skin will definitely appreciate the COTZ line of products, but I feel that even those with normal skin will fall in love with them too.

I really like the Cotz water-resistant sunblock fo the face.It does give a nice matte finish just like stated, that I really love. I have very pale, easily burnt skin, and for some reason, nature thought it would be funny to make me extremely sensitive to most sunscreens.

I have a bad allergy to avobenzone, so I cannot use most cosmetic and facial products with spf.

I heard about this from my uncle, and decided to give it a try.

One thing I love is the consistency, extremely smooth and silky to put on, almost dissolves onto your face. Leaves matte finish, no oily shine.

Seems to have pretty good protection, I use it on a daily basis, but I haven't tested it on a hard-core sunny beach day yet.

Sometimes, it does make my skin look a bit weird, emphasizing purple-red tones. It also tends to emphasizes any flakey-ness or facial dryness.

If i leave it on for too long it does start to irritate my face a bit. So I usually wash it off once I get home from school or work.

But I think I just have REALLY sensitive skin. Plus, this sunscreen is doing a heck of a lot better than anything else I've used (even drugstore "sensitive face" sunscreens turn me red and itchy)

So although this can be occasionally mildly irritating to my super sensitive skin, it is literally the only sunscreen I would use on my face.

I've also been using BB cream with spf, and somehow that hasn't bothered my skin at all (main spf ingredients in the one I use are zinc oxide, titanium dioxide, and Ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate).

So ladies who want sensitive protection and a bit of coverage might want to look into that.

But most bb creams come in lower spf (15-25), so I double up with this and I'm extra protected!

I would definitely recommend this, especially if you have kids. I remember dreading putting sunscreen on my face when I was younger because it was so greasy and felt horrible. But it feels like you have nothing on when wearing this! Not greasy in the slightest. I don't think i would have fussed as much if my mom put this on my face haha.

I am also acne prone , and this did not cause me to break out.

Biggest con is the price, but you get what you pay for!

I disagree with the other reviewers about the aroma and runniness.

I find the aroma pleasant and NOT overpowering when the right amount of product is applied.Don't overapply ! A modest amount is fine, but it needs to be massaged deeply into the skin, for best reults.This is true about "runniness," too.If the correct amount is used it is absorbed and does not run.It should be applied when the facial skin is still supple after a shower, or slightly damp, for best absorbtion and protection.

This product works well to moisturize my skin as well as provide a little bit of protection from the sun's harmful rays.I have never been one to use any skin care products this is my first after 55 years on this earth.

This skin cream, SPF 15, is so easy to apply and the smell isn't over-powering so I do get positive comments when I use it.Per my dermatologist's orders, I keep a bottle(?) of it in the convertible. as it's handy to use whenever I feel the need to block some rays or perhaps just refresh my face a bit. The reason I purchased the Nivea Essential Protection Lotion is because it provides better comfort after shaving than their shaving balm. Since it is a moisturizer, it does just that without the alcohol sting of the shaving balm. Plus the lotion is SPF15 for mild sun protection. I found the scent to be light and pleasant, unlike the shaving balm which does have a stronger fragrance and I did receive comments about it's scent. Lastly, online seems to be the only place to find this product as it has been removed from the shelves every retail drugstore where I used to buy it. I highly recommend the product.

This is the best face lotion for men that I have ever used. I have been using this product nearly every day for the past 5 or so years. I LOVE this lotion, it has really gotten me a lot darker in just a matter of one week. My only complaint (and the only reason I didnt give it 5 stars) is that it doesnt really smell the best. Will never buy this sunscreen again. Applied 30 minutes before going outside, and within 10 minutes the sunscreen had risen as a white, thick oily film in top of my body. Even before going outside the lotion went on thick and goopy. Stings the eyes when it inevitably runs into them, and has a icky banana scent. Going back to neutrogena regardless of its added chemicals.

Olay Olay Regenerist Night Resurfacing Elixir

I bought this as my skin seemed dry, washed out, rough and I hadn't had a facial in years.I'd read a dermatologist say that you don't have to pay boutique prices for boutique expensive skin care because the big companies like Olay spend a lot on research and development--they have big budgets, sell a lot, and their products have to be good.

I put this on at night and within a few days my skin was smooth, brighter, not rough and tighter. I hadn't anticipated that last feature.I feel like I'm getting a mini-facial or peel while I sleep. I was thrilled with the results, and am going to buy some more Olay products.I feel like I'm taking good care of my skin without spending a lot of $$$$.

Call me a bit nuts, but I really wanted to be able to see if this product worked. So, I purchased the "Anti-Aging Moisturize Night Resurfacing Elixir," and for the first six nights, applied it only to the right side of my face. To keep the experiment fair, on the left, I continued using just my regular night time product, "Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream." Please note, I am 47, have always used Olay products (though until 40, that meant the old fall back, "Oil of Olay" with or without sun screen). My skin is pretty good for my age, but I would like it to be even better. Hence, the interest in the "resurfacing elixir."

After two days of use, the right side of my face looked the same, maybe the skin was a bit smoother to the touch. After four days, a *very* close inspection revealed smoother pores on the treated side. By days five and six, I actually could see a subtle improvement in my crow's feet around my eyes, and some lines from the corner of my mouth. After a full six nights of treatment, I could see that the slightly hanging jowl on my right jaw was not hanging as much as the one on the left side, and the scar on my throat (from surgery years ago) was tightened up on the right, more than the left.

Wish I had a good "before" picture. Was I lopsided before I started? Did the scar look much better on the right than the left before? Did the jowl always hang more on the left? Well, the answer to that will have to wait a few days, for the reverse treatment this week. Starting last night I put the Resurfacing Elixer on the left, and the Micro-Sculpting Cream on the right. Next week I will post what happens. I'm particularly interested to see if the left jowl raises up to be more even with the right, and if my throat scar looks better. But also the regular stuff: the crow's feet, and the smile lines.

Though I get the impression that this product improved my skin, I gave it only 4-stars because of the subtlety of the results. I'd post a picture, but the results are so subtle, I can't seem to get them to show up in a photo. I suspect a professional photographer with special lighting could bring out the comparison. But sans professional photographer, I'll have to offer up only my words.

Here's hoping I have something good to report next week! (It will be added as a comment.)

I have been using this product for about 6 weeks. The results are amazing. No more dark circles under my eyes and the fine lines around my eyes have improved by at least 50%.
