I received this from my step-mom as an easter present this year and I fell in love instantly! It does not get as dark as fast as my experience with Smoke Black, but it works very well and does not smell near as bad as other lotions! I liked the color I got and the fact that the tan wasn't streaky or faded off. Will buy again for sure!!
Horrible, oily, greasy and the amount that was given is not what was advertised. The butter barely only reaches midway of the jar. The buttter is like vaseline. Doubtful that its,natural...will never buy again.

I ordered the 16 oz avocado butter and received a 16 oz jar that was sent not even half full. It had maybe 7 oz in it. There are also no ingredients listed on the jar and I'm not sure this is avocado butter as it looks and smells greasy and not like avocado butter at all. Ahava products vary in quality.I agree with another reviewer who said that she felt the facial products are not much different than a lot of other products offered by other companies. However, some products are very good.I bought this product for my daughter who occasionally gets sun burned while playing tennis regardless of wearing UV protection sun glasses.The lotion feels very hydrating and helps heal her skin after exposure to the sun.The redness ususally disappers by the next day.From my point of view, why wait for a burn to use a good product?This moisturizes all skin regardless of sun exposure.
I bought this lotion mostly for how DELICIOUS it smells.It's seriously incredible, especially because the scent doesn't change after you tan with it on, like some other lotions tend to do.It definitely leaves my skin sillllllkkkyyyyyyy smooth and soft after every use.As for actual effectiveness, I'd most likely give it a 4.5 out of 5: I was tanner after the first use, but after that it definitely takes a little bit of time to build up.

Since our son was born, we've been using Coppertone Water Babies sunscreen, but didn't like that it stung if it got into his eyes.When we found this, we were thrilled.I even put it on my hands and rubbed it into my eyes to make sure it was truly "tear free".In that respect, it's great.However, we've used it twice on our son.The first time (last weekend), he got a little bit red, but today, after being in the sun for only two hours, he's got the worst sunburn ever.I'm devastated since I'm very careful about his sun exposure (we're both fair-skinned).In the year and a half of using Water Babies, he NEVER had a sunburn.I also used this sunscreen today and I am sporting the worst burn of my life as well...it looks as though we went without any sunblock at all.I hope someone can learn from our bad experience.

Ordered this sunscreen for a cruise we were taking this spring. This sunscreen has an amazing feel to it. Non-greasy and non-runny and super absorb-able. It smells AMAZING too (like coconuts). It worked great...I am red headed and VERY fair and I did not get burnt AT ALL. I even had people stop me and ask me on my cruise...what sunscreen are YOU using...cause it really works! Laid out all day and did not get burnt! I highly recommend this product. My only problem I have had with it is that the top of the bottle does not close well...it leaked over some of my stuff in my beach bag which kind of sucked. I think this is a great sunscreen for faces.I have rosacea and need to use physical sunblocks.I also am a contact lens wearer, and some chemicals eventually get into my eyes and sting. I won't use products with chemical fragrance or parabens.That leaves me with few options and I've tried lots.Most products leave a white haze, not this one.It also leaves my skin feeling moisturized, but not oily or shiny.I don't like it for all-body, it can be spread too thin.Very nice product.(notethis product does have essential oils and a scent)

I hate sunscreen lotion, since applying it by hand gets it on my fingers and I can't wash it off. So sometimes I would skip the whole thing-not good! I tried a number of sticks, and this one seems to work well in that I don't burn. It also has the best feel on my face. Also, this goes on a little hard. The pink Banana Boat kids one is OK but it is softer and leaves more of a melty feel on your skin. On a hot day it makes a difference-this one won't instantly turn into a runny mess the way some lotinos will. One note: it's not sweatproof, don't put it on your forehead if you are running. Then again, I've found that happens even with "sweatproof" products.
