This Hempz sunscreen smells good and is not too heavy. Its more like a body moisturizer. I used it when I was canoeing in Florida. When my brother, sister-in-law, and a few other friends were getting bit up by mosquitos and yellow flies, I was not. Only thing different about me was I used the Hempz sunscreen and they did not. It helped with some sun protection, but only being spf 15, you have to reapply. Atleast it is pleasant to put on again.

Depending on how dark your dark spots are this product works pretty well but you have to be patient. I had to lighten my underarms only a little bit because I hated that they were tan while the rest of my skin was very light so I tried this product but I didn't see any results until 2 months later and my underarms were just slightly lighter. I still like it because I didn't want my underarms to look totally bleached, so that good. I'm using this sunblock on my kids and it works pretty well. One minus, it takes a long time for it to rub in, which for me is a bit too long when you have squirmy toddlers on your hands who can care less about sun protection.

No-Ad No-Ad Sunblock Lotion Spf 45
Surfing requires sunblock that will stand up to the waves, not wash off and not burn my eyes. No-Ad sunblock migrates it into my eyes with sweat or water. Complete failure for surfing. It is the best sunblock for everything else though. It is by far the best buy per ounce and you can afford to slather it on. I put it on no higher than my cheek bones. Then I use a non migrating sun block above it. Great sunblock. Just use it properly.
This lotion did not wash off after an hour and a half of snorkeling & diving and was good to go for another round an hour later.
Though I did not tan as well as usual with daily use of it, this pasty-white guy did not suffer from any sunburn either. It gets my recommendation.

I bought this to go on vacation in the Dominican Republic. I have not tanned in years but would still burn with other sunblocks. This one came highly recommended from reviews online. I'd seen ads for this recently in magazines, and liked the idea of it having a slight shimmer since during the summer I like to use lotions that have a bit of sheen to them.The shine particles (which come from the mieral mica) are a bit larger and more noticeable than I thought they would be, but it still looks really pretty on my (self-)tanned skin and brings out a nice sheen and glow, as promised.This also has the delicious tropical scent that Hawaian Tropic is known for; it reminds me of the lazy days of summer. It's a great sunscreen to wear during the summer.
This also has UVA/UVB protection, and the SPF 40 that I purchased does a nice job of keeping harmful rays out. It's not necessarily a sport sunscreen, but you can wear it in water, as long as you re-apply afterwards.
Overall, if you like the tropical scent of Hawaiian Tropic products, I'd give this a try!

This sunscreen is great. Yes, it is hard to rub in but that is because it actually works and doesn't put as many chemicals into your skin. This sunscreen has been tested by the EWG and they rate it well because it protects the skin like it is suppose to, many sunscreens do not. It does absorb, it takes about 20 minutes. I think it is wonderful because I know when the kids no longer look like snowman it is safe for them to go in the water.

After becoming aware of the dangers of sunscreen and the lack of protection of most products I searched the EWG's sight for a decent suncreen that was not too harmful and protected me from UVA and UVB rays and wasn't too expensive.This one fit the bill, I have extremley fair skin and so does my red-headed husband. He will often burn just standing in the sun for 15 minutes. In the past I purchased spf 100 for him which didn't even work.
So I got this product to give it a try hoping the zinc would provide more protection for him. It is easy to rub in, just remember less is more and worked great he wore it while working in the yard for about 5 hours and didn't even have a red tint to his skin. I love this product so much I bought two more bottles to take to mexico with us.
I didn't notice it being greasy or too white and chalky, maybe the other reviewers got an old bottle or something. Also we are both pretty white so we may have not noticed the white simply because our skin is already so white.
It went on just like normal suncreen to me and smell just like all other sunscreen.
FYI: The Coppertone Sensative Skin for Faces 50spf is great for your face, nice and light.

We were going to Hawaii during the Thanksgiving break and the sunscreen was nowhere to be found. We ordered this from Amazon and it came right on time and we used it a lot while on our trip. I bought this sunscreen because it rates well by the EWG's skin deep cosmetics database (only a 2 on the toxicity scale).I have used it several times now on my daughter and myself and find that it's very difficult to rub in (leaves a very obvious white film on our skin) and it does not hold up well in the water, either. I understand that you have to reapply sunscreen after going into the water and/or toweling dry, but it doesn't seem to hold up long enough while we're in the water even. What is nice is that you can purchase it at local stores, as opposed to some other low-toxicity rated brands that I have to special order online.

I bought this at a tanning salon and have been using for almost a month going 2-3 times a week. The color is nice, scent is not overpowering and no horrible smell after you are done tanning. Like another poster said it does have a grainy-ness to it which is odd but again...I thought it was just my bottle. Must not be.I like that it isn't a tingly lotion and I do like it not being a bronzer...I don't have to be soooo careful with application, etc.I tried this lotion in the tanning salon and knew I liked the smell and product in general.. However, this had some little flecks in it. It is very odd. It's like it has grains of sand in it. I don't like that, but otherwise it's a good lotion. I've used other Banana Boat products so I didn't hesitate to buy this one for my three girls, ages 2 6.It is horrible! There have been reports of four people catching on fire from the Banana Boat Ultramist products.Based on this I would say, do not buy this.You can research this on the internet but unfortunately I can't post a link here for it.

This was stated by the manufacturer.There were about 25 products bearing the Ultramst name that were recalled although this particular one was not.I had some of this and threw it away to be on the safe side.Purchased for summer use on my kids who are both have fair complexions. Sprayed it on both of my kids before we went to the beach to have fun, and even made sure that just about every inch of their skin was sprayed. Both of my kids ended up having places on their body with some patches being completely white and places that were red with a sun burn, even though I completely covered them head to toe in sun screen. Will never buy banana boat ever again since I can no longer trust their products after this.

Olay Olay Regenerist Night Resurfacing Elixir
I bought this as my skin seemed dry, washed out, rough and I hadn't had a facial in years.I'd read a dermatologist say that you don't have to pay boutique prices for boutique expensive skin care because the big companies like Olay spend a lot on research and development--they have big budgets, sell a lot, and their products have to be good.I put this on at night and within a few days my skin was smooth, brighter, not rough and tighter. I hadn't anticipated that last feature.I feel like I'm getting a mini-facial or peel while I sleep. I was thrilled with the results, and am going to buy some more Olay products.I feel like I'm taking good care of my skin without spending a lot of $$$$.
Call me a bit nuts, but I really wanted to be able to see if this product worked. So, I purchased the "Anti-Aging Moisturize Night Resurfacing Elixir," and for the first six nights, applied it only to the right side of my face. To keep the experiment fair, on the left, I continued using just my regular night time product, "Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream." Please note, I am 47, have always used Olay products (though until 40, that meant the old fall back, "Oil of Olay" with or without sun screen). My skin is pretty good for my age, but I would like it to be even better. Hence, the interest in the "resurfacing elixir."
After two days of use, the right side of my face looked the same, maybe the skin was a bit smoother to the touch. After four days, a *very* close inspection revealed smoother pores on the treated side. By days five and six, I actually could see a subtle improvement in my crow's feet around my eyes, and some lines from the corner of my mouth. After a full six nights of treatment, I could see that the slightly hanging jowl on my right jaw was not hanging as much as the one on the left side, and the scar on my throat (from surgery years ago) was tightened up on the right, more than the left.
Wish I had a good "before" picture. Was I lopsided before I started? Did the scar look much better on the right than the left before? Did the jowl always hang more on the left? Well, the answer to that will have to wait a few days, for the reverse treatment this week. Starting last night I put the Resurfacing Elixer on the left, and the Micro-Sculpting Cream on the right. Next week I will post what happens. I'm particularly interested to see if the left jowl raises up to be more even with the right, and if my throat scar looks better. But also the regular stuff: the crow's feet, and the smile lines.
Though I get the impression that this product improved my skin, I gave it only 4-stars because of the subtlety of the results. I'd post a picture, but the results are so subtle, I can't seem to get them to show up in a photo. I suspect a professional photographer with special lighting could bring out the comparison. But sans professional photographer, I'll have to offer up only my words.

I have been using this product for about 6 weeks. The results are amazing. No more dark circles under my eyes and the fine lines around my eyes have improved by at least 50%. I have been using this product for a little over a week now. My skin already looks a tad more luminous and just healthy. Its not oily at all. I have to be careful with products, especially in the T Zone.
