Solar Sense Clear Zinc Advanced Sun Protection SPF 70 Cream for Face -- 0.5 oz.

I take an antibiotic to treat severe rheumatoid arthritis and to say it makes me sensitive to the sun would be quite an understatement!Given that I am a professional charter boat captain who spend 8-10 hours a day in the sun for 6 months of the year this adds up to a big problem. Add to that that I am fair skinned and have red hair and you have huge problem!!! So I have used just about every lip sunburn ointment on the market and most of them have not been very effective. Several months ago my lovely wife came home from the drugstore with a product called Solar Sense Clear Zinc. When she showed it to me I said, "Take it back hon I can't stand the taste of zinc sunscreens, they make my mouth taste like metal."

Now it would be impolite to say that my wife more often than not ignores me, and it might make her appear immodest if I were to say that more often than not she feels that she is right and I am WRONG. So, ever the devoted husband, I won't say either of those things. I will, however, say that some weeks later after repeated urging on my wife's part I finally did give this stuff a trial run. Drum roll please.... and Wow! does it ever work well! Better yet, there is no metallic zinc after taste and although it goes on white like other zinc preparations it quickly fades to invisible. I know it's cool to look like a lifeguard muscle wise but I've never bought into the white lips bit.:(

Anyway, Solar Sense Clear Zinc is far and away the best lip sunburn protection I have ever used! Without it I wouldn't have been able to run my boat tours this past summer. And no, I don't own stock in Solar Sense of have any other financial connection with them... though I must say that I am currently giving some thought to buying some stock as their products are that good!

I have fair skin and burn easily also break out from most sunscreen products.After using this product for a few months my skin has improved remarkably.I use this product on a daily basis instead of moisturizer now instead of rosacia I have perfectly clear skin, clear zinc really works.

It's good, but not great about $8-9 for 0.5 oz is too much especially since I really only used it maybe 2-3 applications & it was gone! I also felt pretty greasy with it on.It works well though great sunblock! I tried to also order it in the stick applicator to give that a try but they were discontinued (not sure why it let me order it!) I used it on my face primarily & my hands, a little on my neck & ears but this really is for face only & like I said maybe 2 applications the 3rd time, I was scraping out of it to just put on my forehead, nose, cheekbones used it for outdoor sports.

This product works very well in keeping my nose from burning.I have a very sensitive nose that turns red very easily in the sun, this products gives me the protection I need.And the package is small enough to fit in my purse for when I need it.
