First off, La Roche-Posay has a huge line of sunscreen products (with Mexoryl XL and Mexoryl SX).There are creams, milk, fluid extreme, etc that are geared to different skin types.Check out Beauty Central Europe for a pretty extensive list.I tried the "La Roche Posay Anthelios XL Milk/Lait SPF 60 Face and Body" which was recommended for acne and problem skin types.I tried the cream on my face, but it was just too greasy to wear under makeup.Instead I use it on my arms and body.It is still a little greasy for my taste, and leaves a visible greasy sheen for hours after application.But if you are going to be out in the blazing sun, its total protections makes up for a little shine.
I really like the "Anthelios Fluide Extreme SPF 40 Facial Sunblock".This one is recommended for all skin types.This product is much thinner and lighter than the Milk/Lait product, and it goes on smooth and absorbs quickly into the skin.I use this one everyday under my makeup, and haven't had any problems with breakouts.
There is also a "Anthelios Fluide Extreme Facial Sunblock" in the SPF 60 range, but this one is label for combination/oily skin so I stayed away from it.
Another product I like is the "Vichy Capital Soleil SPF 25" with Mexoryl XL".I use this one for everyday use on my arms, chest and neck.It doesn't feel greasy at all, and it absorbs quickly into the skin.It does have fragrance, but it light and almost unnoticeable.In fact I kinda like the way it smells.
Although this sunscreen is expensive, a little goes a long way.It works as an effective moisturizer under make-up and isn't too greasy.I have olive skin which tans way too easily and I also have melasma.Using this sunscreen helps prevent the age spots and melasma from getting too dark.It is a little mroe expensive but your health and skin are worth it. I have been very impressed with this sunscreen and am glad we can buy it in America now, I have been buying it in Europe for a while.This is for my friend and he is very happy with this product, his doctor recomended and this work very niceThis is a very lightweight, fluid that's especially effective in the summer on oily skin. Excellent protection as well. I wear it all year long.
