I have extremely sensitive skin, and was thrilled to find the Aveeno Ultra Calming line, and the SPF 30 daily moisturizer.Finally, a moisturizer with sunscreen that doesn't irritate my skin.Imagine my disappointment to find that the SPF 30 version was discontinued, and only the SPF 15 remains. Sigh, ok, I'll give it a try.Well, this is a very different product.It has a ton a fragrance.And, more importantly, a different sunscreen than the discontinued SPF 30 version.Its main ingredient is Avobenzone,a known irritant.No wonder it makes my skin burn, and makes me break out in a rash.So, if you're looking for something for sensitive skin, look elsewhere.
I have numerous autoimmune conditions and am allergic to everything. My skin breaks out to most moisturizers (even ones that are for sensitive skin and perfume free.) BUT, not to this product. The "Ultra Calming" is the only line I have ever found that my skin can tolerate.
While I am left with some acne scars on my face from years of using and trying the wrong products, I'd like to say BRAVO to Aveeno for making this one. I am having regular microdermabrasion treatments to help revive the skin that the other moisturizers ruined and left scarred. Aveeno, please notify me if this line is ever going to be discontinued so I can rent a warehouse and stock it full of this stuff to last the rest of my life. I cannot live without it! Only took me 15 years to find the right face products.Aveeno Ultra-Calming Daily Moisturizer really works! I have Rosecea and this product is the only thing I've ever found that actually eliminates the red on my face. After using it for 10 days or so, my face completely cleared up.I started using this in conjunction with the Aveeno extra calming foaming facial wash in an effort to battle the rosacea around my nose and mouth, and IT WORKED!
I'd had rosacea spots for years that would dry out and itch & nothing worked to get rid of them until I tried these two products.I would have given 5 stars; however, I have used better moisturizers (and facial washes), BUT, none of them eliminated the spots on my face.At night, I just use a heavy moisturizing cream, and that seems to work okay.
Not saying this will work for everyone, but this worked like a charm for me!I have extreme rosaeca and acne.I received a sample of this lotion from my derm dr and I just love it.With my skin being so sensitive to break outs and feeling like I have wind burn, this stuff soothes and calms just like it says.It feels really nice and I don't break out with it!It does not cure the rosaeca or acne just helps to calm the redness and burning sensations.
