Anthelios Xl SPF 50+ Extreme Body Fluid

Took this with us to Maui (my husband and I are very fair) and it worked well.We especially likes how easy it was to put on, how well it was absorbed into the skin without a greasy or sticky feel and no smell.

This has been my "go-to" sunscreen for a number of years now, and I have no plans to change. I started using sunscreen products containing Mexoryl SX as soon as it was approved by the FDA, around 2006, but I quickly became frustrated because they are a) expensive and b) hard to find above SPF 15. I prefer to wear SPF 45+ every day. So, I started shopping around online and ordering various types from overseas. Most were too thick, or scented, or made me look excessively shiny, even when formulated for facial use. This product is perfection, however. It is a thicker liquid, not a cream. Easy to apply and does not take more than 10 seconds to sink into your skin. No white residue, no crazy shine factor. It is as close to a matte finish as I've ever found in a sunscreen that contains Mexoryl XL (which is even better/more effective than the FDA-approved version, Mexoryl SX). It is also very moisturizing! I do not wear anything under/over this for every day. It's all I need. Highly, highly recommended!

Having true photosensitivity (I get an allergic skin reaction when exposed to the sun), I am basically always on a quest for the elusive 'best' product that will protect me.My last best hope was Neutrogena's line of Ultra-Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock, and clear zinc.The problem with these products is that when it's hot, just putting them on makes you feel hotter.They leave a creamy, greasy film on your skin.When I was in Israel this past spring, two florida residents told me about this product that their dermatologist had recommended.I bought several kinds when I arrived home.This cream is lighter than most, and does not leave as greasy a residue as I am accustomed to.I will always have to use scarves and hats in conjunction with any skin protection product, but this one works very well at protecting my skin.Better than most.For me, and others who have a real sensitivity, or who need to fully protect their skin, it is worth the price.
