In November in Michigan, we don't really have to worry too much about sun and surf damage. But lips face all sorts of challenges in the dry, cold, windy north. This balm is great. Very soothing, protective, and a gentle scent of vanilla.
I was able to get my hands on the new Salt Life SPF lip balm right as it came out. It's a brand new line by USA-based (Florida) Salt Life. I love the packaging, but really, it's about the product in the tube right? I'm one of those people who can't leave home without her lip balm (it's like my lips know and immediately start to chap) so I always have some in my purse, on my night stand, at my desk.. you name it.
I've tried a lot of different kinds, some are heavy and waxy, some seem harsh and make my lips chap (not exactly what you want), some make them tingle, in a bad way and some are so heavily flavored you spend the day licking off your protection. So if you're like me, you know the quality and effect they have on your lips can vary greatly. For me, this lip balm hits the mark AND it's an SPF formula to boot. So I'm getting the smooth hydration I want with the extra perk of SPF protection it's my new "go to" lip balm. It comes in a tube like most typical lip balms on the market so it travels easily and applies in a cinch (unlike some lips balm jars, tubs and wacky containers).
I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a good, everyday un-tinted SPF lip balm with a pleasant, but not overpowering vanilla scent/flavor. Purchasing it, you support a USA owned and operated company and product line. So, all around, great product, no complaints. :) I'll be trying the SPF lotion next! Just ordered a tube of SPF 15...
