John Masters Organics Natural Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30

I was looking a long time for a natural sunscreen, and as far as I could research this one has more natural (perhaps mineral or on the surface of skin opposed to working chemically within the skin) sunblock versus a chemical one (like Neutrogena as far as I have read).John Masters is not too greasy, it wears well under makeup.It does feel a little more like a sunscreen than a lotion (for instance Aveda's feels more like a lotion, but I stopped theirs because I wasn't sure of their ingredients, the tourmaline lotion).But, as far as i understand for john masters, the ingredients are more natural which is what I was looking for.I didn't give 5 stars because I need more clarification on their ingredients...so it's not the product, it's my understanding of what is in the product (perhaps more marketing on just how natural this is could help?).

This sunscreen works.It feels good on the skin.It can be used with makeup.It lasts.And, you will not burn.Most importantly, and what does make is so very special is the lack of toxic materials to create the function you need.

This is the most important characteristic for me.The fact that it performs so well and works and is organic is what makes this incredibly special.I have used this for the past 4 years.

St. Tropez Everyday Gradual Tan for Face 1.7 oz

This works fine, the tan looks natural enough.But if you have any dry skin on your face, you'll need a very good exfoliator.I have combination skin.Oily forehead and chin but dry skin on my nose and the stain gets into that dry skin and makes it look ridiculous.I only use it in summer, because in winter my skin is much more dry.All in all, it doesn't do much of anything for moisturizing your face, unless you're talking about making it more greasy than before.

I used it for 21 days under the sun and I didn't get tanned a bit. It doesn't leave the white color on your skin. It does not smell at all. I totally recommend it, but also recommend that you put moisturizer first, since it is kind of rough applying it to the skin without something that can help you move it.

All the other tanninng products I have used leaves a nasty odor, especially when in the sun or when my body gets hot.This one truly doesn't.It goes on a little orangy but quickly turns a nice tan.I like san tropez spray too, but it can smell a little bit.Not like over the counter drug store types though.I wish this came in a spray.update 12/2012:I guess I didn't get warm before, but noticed that same weird smell the other day when i was warm.I think St. Tropez spray still the best for the money and ease of applying.If you sleep alone, use this at night.The smell is not as bad as drug store brands but it' still there.

In November in Michigan, we don't really have to worry too much about sun and surf damage. But lips face all sorts of challenges in the dry, cold, windy north. This balm is great. Very soothing, protective, and a gentle scent of vanilla.

I was able to get my hands on the new Salt Life SPF lip balm right as it came out. It's a brand new line by USA-based (Florida) Salt Life. I love the packaging, but really, it's about the product in the tube right? I'm one of those people who can't leave home without her lip balm (it's like my lips know and immediately start to chap) so I always have some in my purse, on my night stand, at my desk.. you name it.

I've tried a lot of different kinds, some are heavy and waxy, some seem harsh and make my lips chap (not exactly what you want), some make them tingle, in a bad way and some are so heavily flavored you spend the day licking off your protection. So if you're like me, you know the quality and effect they have on your lips can vary greatly. For me, this lip balm hits the mark AND it's an SPF formula to boot. So I'm getting the smooth hydration I want with the extra perk of SPF protection it's my new "go to" lip balm. It comes in a tube like most typical lip balms on the market so it travels easily and applies in a cinch (unlike some lips balm jars, tubs and wacky containers).

On paper this looks like such a great sunscreen. The inclusion of Ferulic acid in an all mineral, waterproof spf50 at this price? I ordered it from Walgreens in a heartbeat.

The product applies like vegetable shorteningit's the most slippery,greasy product I have ever applied, and it is super shiny like grease too. That greasy tacky feel never goes away. You become a magnet for small particles of dust and debris.

No questions on the waterproof claimit lasts through washing with soap and water too. You really need a cold cream or cleansing oil to remove completely. There are times when this level of tenacity is what you want in a sunscreen, but I'm not sure I can live with the other attributes just for ultra water resistance. It also slides around on the skin alot, with white creases showing every skin bend and fold and leaving me to wonder how well protected my skin can be if there is this much migration?

This is marketed toward use for children, but has the exact same ingredient list as the face formula, just less expensive. This would probably be good for a day at a waterparkbut at a beach? I cringe to imagine all the sand adhesion this would foster.

I bought this lotion for the first time recently. I have been tanning for a few years now, and have used many products. What caught my eye was the "Several shades darker in just one use." Gave it a whole star because NO star was unacceptable. I had tanned for months and stopped, when I started back up I wanted to try a different. So I bought this. Worked like CRAP. It claims to "darken your skin after only one use" it doesn't. I had a good base and would know if I was getting a shade darker within a 15 minute session. I figured it would build up after a few hours, didn't help at all. It didn't even look like a "normal" bronzing lotion. All of the "normal" bronzing lotions I have found are tan looking in color. This one was whiter than white. The smell is another story. It smells like someone put a bunch of fruit together and expected them to smell nice. Completely wrong. The smell honestly made me sick to my stomach. Then when it was heated up and blowing in your face, it didn't make any better. I would save your money and buy something else. I suggest Ed Hardy Hollywood Bronze. It's literally $14 a bottle and works FABULOUS and smells great.

Pre De Provence Shea Butter Lip Balm, Mint, 15-Grams

I ordered this because I wanted a shea butter-based lip balm with a minty feeling, and this is the only one I could find on amazon. I have used a shea-based balm from LUSH for a few years that I love, but it does not have a minty tingle.

This balm by Pre de Provence has a barely detectable touch of mint so I was a bit disappointed in that, but it moisturizes pretty well, though it is a bit too slippery for use under lipstick, and needs to be reapplied often. I have been using it at night and most of it comes off by the time I wake up. When I use LUSH's Lip Service, there is still some on my lips when I wake up. I cannot say what the ingredients are other than shea butter as there is no ingredient list, but this balm seems to be all natural; no artificial scent added and it feels nice and clean. All in all not a bad balm, but when I am finished with it I will go back to LUSH's Lip Service for moisture and C.O. Bigelow's Mentha stick balm for that fresh minty tingle.

The first time i used it, it seemed to work not great, but good. The second time I went to use it, the spray was already coming out splotchy. Definitely not worth the money. The top didnt spray thing didnt really stay on either. Just plain.... crap! I'll stick with the lotion and paying someone else to airbrush. The can is literally, a piece of crap. For all the people that give this product a bad review because of the spray is ''uneven" or "defective" is using the product wrong. When you apply most if not all spray tans from a bottle, you wear latex gloves then spray, then RUB IT IN EVENLY ALL OVER YOUR BODY. That's how you do it. Your hurting Norvells ratings because you don't know what your doing and talking about. Dont forget to exfoliate and shave a day before and moisturizewith lotion(no mineral oil). Wait a day before showering after application.

This sunblock, Age Shield SPF 90+ is fantastic.I have darker skin, so I can't wear the sunblock that leaves the white streaks.Neutrogena's SPF 70 leaves that, unlike this one.I wondered why and found out that the SPF 90 has different active sunblock ingredients than the one that leaves the streaks.This sunblock provides outstanding protection from the sun too. I've put it on my face and chest and not my back, and realized tan lines on my back... ONLY where I'd put no sunblock!It's awesome for everyday use.I actually use it as a "moisturizer".It doesn't break me out, absorbs super-fast, and is completely non-greasy.And I use a powder makeup over it and it blends flawlessly without cakey areas.I can't say enough about this product, but I'll stop here for risk of sounding like an advertisement.Hopefully they never stop making this stuff...

I tried Neutrogena Age Shield Face Sunblock SPF 90 and was amazed. The product dries to a matte finish and proved to be a great base for make-up. It made my pores look smaller and my skin more refined. Make-up stayed all day and no sunburn. People have been telling me that I have perfect skin! i don't. I have spent so much money on make-up primers that did not live up to their promises. It was by accident that I discovered the dual use for this sunblock. I will use it forever.

i read the one other review here and gave it a shot same results great under makeup dries fast and not greasy and no residue...didn't realize how bad my old moisturizer was making my makeup look until i tried this...LOVE it!!!!

btw the spf 85 neutrogena stuff in a white and light blue tube is TOTALLY different from this it leaves a white residue you have to scrap off before applying makeup ick.

I JUST DID A LACTIC ACID PEEL SO PROTECTING MY FACE WAS VERY CRITICAL. I HAVE DARK SKIN ANDTHE SUNBLOCK RESIDUECAUSES ME TO LOOK "PURPLE" (IT'S EXTREMELY EMBARRASSING BECAUSE MY COWORKERS ALWAYS POINT IT OUT TO ME!)I WENT TO WALL-MART AND TRIED MANY SUNBLOCKS TO SEE IF THEY LEFT THE WHITE RESIDUE AND THIS PRODUCT ABSORBED PERFECTLY INTO MY SKIN WITHOUT THE WIERD DISCOLORATION. I'm editing my review... After much research on sunscreens the chemicals in this product can do more damage than good.The benzone chemicals produce a tremendous amount of free radicals once exposed to UV light.Free radicals cause a lot of damage and skin aging!Also, these super high spf sunscreens are just gimmicks.They don't give you much more protection over an spf 40 and exposes you to much more chemicals.I would recommend a physical sunblock.Something with Zinc oxide and Titanium Dioxide.

Ive spray tanned in a salon before, this machine is good for personal use. However, expect about 30 minutes minimum to do your own tan. Id reccommend if you dont get the spray on straight to take lotion and buy some gloves so you can rub it all in and make it even. I feel like you have to do more work than needed and it takes a while for tan to set in.I feel this was an okay purchase but i was not impressed too much. If i had to buy again id do a little more research. But for 100$ compared to other prices this one you get what you pay for.
