Covergirl Natureluxe Gloss Balm

I purchased this item in Thistle and Tulip and absolutely love this product and the color.

This lip color is categorized as a gloss balm and that is exactly how it feels.

It applies like a balm but has a nice texture when applied and slight shimmer/sheen to it.The color is not heavy at all (it is more of a tint) and seems to last about as long as other tinted balms if you are not eating or drinking.It is definitely lighter than a regular lipstick and isn't waxy like some lipsticks can be.It also isn't greasy or sticky like a gloss can be.

The scent is very nice and there is virtually no taste to this product which is a plus.Even better it has an SPF15 (which also means there is an expiration date) which makes it perfect for daily wear.

I also don't find it drying like some balms (tinted or not) can sometimes become after application.

This winter has been tough on my skin and lips and this product really seems to help protect my lips.Since starting to use it in place of my usual lipstick and gloss I noticed my lips were not as chapped.

I love this lip balm. It's smooth, long lasting and just all around lovely. I think it's the perfect cross between a lip balm and a lipstick.

I bought this lipstick when a coworker was wearing it. Loved the red color for summer! I usually wear lip stains, so I thought this would be a good lighter alternative. And I like that there's a slight sheen to it, like a nice chapstick. Very natural looking for sure.

I bought the sandstone color and was hoping for a more nude-pink shade; it's actually really pink. I was expecting a more smooth glide and application of it on my lips, but it goes on kind of chunky and dense. Even when I rub my lips together, it feels kind of chunky. It doesn't last throughout the day, which was unfortunate. I've tried so many lip glosses and balms (hoping to find the perfect glide and smoothness), so far the Cover Girl Wetslicks have done a great job.

I really like the slight bit of shimmer that it gives, how natural it feels and looks, and how it isn't sticky at all.The only thing I didn't like was that all the colors on Amazon seem to be a bit... off.If you go look at the ones in the supermarket compared to on here, very different shade!

This particular shade ended up being a few shades darker than it looked online, and darker than I was expecting.Still pretty, but I have to use very little, otherwise it gives more color than I want.

Overall a good product!Though in the future if I order on Amazon, I will select the shade I desire in a store first.
