I borrowed a little bit of a friend's non-spf version of this cream while in Europe this past winter and absolutely loved it. It was light yet worked well enough to put some moisture into my skin that the bitter winds had done a number on. Returning home, and living in the sub-tropics, I opted for this SPF version. So far, I really am not impressed and would go as far as to say that it feels rubbery after being applied to my face. Yuck!I may just take this travelling with me and conveniently leave it behind at the end of the trip so I don't feel guilty about wasting nearly $20. And then I'll buy a pot of the non-spf version to use at night!
This is great to use in the summer. Iowa summers don't sound harsh, but we have intense winds paired with the heat and humidity, not to mention that harsh drying effect of chlorine after you go for a swim. This protects my skin from the elements, replenishing the moisture that's been sucked away, and provides a light SPF to prevent sunburn.
