I have been using Elta MD UV Shield for a few years now.I am religious about using sunscreen; I wear it every day even if it's cloudy out.Other sunscreens used to leave white smudge marks on the black interior of my car.This sunscreen is so light that it sinks in completely and does not rub off on anything.It does not make your face shiny or pasty white.The label says it is for oily skin.I have dry skin and it does not dry out my skin.The scent of this product is also very faint.It does not have a chemical smell.This is the best sunscreen I have tried.

Always had problems with burning eyes from sunscreen.This one is great, no eye irritation.My makeup goes on great over it.Love it.

Like many reviewers, Elta MD was recommended by two different dermatologists, a few years back. I've used several of their sunscreens (all great) but my favorite is the SPF 45 (8oz), and the SPF 41 tinted (for my face). I keep the 8oz in my car. It fits right in my door pocket. Every morning when I drive my kids to school the tub gets passed around and everyone applies sunscreen on our way. (We live in LA and the sun is quite strong.) SPF 45 is 4.5 hours of sun protection, but even when I pick my kids up (8 hours later) they don't show any signs of sunburn or damage.

I prefer the SPF 45 over the SPF 50 sport, because it's a tad bit lighter, less greasy feeling and goes on clearer. The SPF 45, is very similar to the SPF 30, but has longer protection. I also prefer the 8oz pump vs. the smaller tube for value and easy. (For myself, I use the tinted SPF 41 tube, which makes my complexion look a little smoother; I love it.) All of Elta sunscreens (even the 50) are gentle enough for my kids.

I highly recommend this sunscreen for protection and feel. I won't buy anything else.
