I put this on and fell in love. It comes out of the tube and goes on your face COMPLETELY DRY and non-oily. It doesn't burn. It doesn't irritate. When it is put on and rubbed in, you can't even see it on my face (for the record, however, I have very pale white skin I don't know if you would see it on a darker complexion). And, I can wear any makeup over it flawlessly. When I go to remove it, it comes off with facial cleanser. I don't have to wash my face 10 times to get it off. I would tell anyone to try this. I have always looked for the perfect dry, non-oily sunscreen, and this is it. The only drawback is that it comes in a very small tube and is expensive (although, I never quibble about paying whatever it takes for sunscreen that I like and will use regularly). I need a huge bottle of this so that I can use it on my whole body. COOLA, if you are reading this, make me a huge bottle of this stuff, cost be darned!!!!

I purchased this product because I was looking for a nice face sunscreen without any chemicals. I like that it has a matte finish, but for me it's almost too matte. My face is really oily, but this stuff makes my face feel a little bit tight and dry. After several hours it feels a little bit better, but the matte-ness never goes away. It feels light and doesn't make my face sweaty when I'm in the sun, which is great, but there is definitely a bluish tinge.My skin is fairly light colored, but not super pale, so it shows up more that it probably would for someone with very fair skin. Once I put it on my whole face, though, it looks fine.I'd say it's probably about as good as you could get for a mineral sunscreen!

The only other weird thing I will mention is that it makes dry skin flakes and any pore clogs very evident.I think the minerals reflect light off any raised surface on your face...I have a lot of blackheads and gunk in my pores (no matter what I do) and this sunscreen makes it all show up a lot more. If you have very smooth, normal-type skin without large pores, I'm sure this product would be perfect.

Overall, pretty darn good, but the price might prevent me from buying it again.

Pros:Natural, simple ingredients. You can take this product off at the end of the day with warm water and a wash clothno soap needed.Great if you are trying to simplify your skin care.

Cons: This is extremely drying.I have sensitive/acne-prone skin and the first few times I applied this directly to my skin in the morning (did not use soap, only splashed my face with warm water), it sucked all of the moisture out of my face and my chin was a sea of dry flakes.It hurt to try and smile/talk/make any facial expressions whatsoever.The only way I could use this at all was to very liberally apply a face oil (I use Mei Camilia seed oil) first.And even then my face would be too tight to move for a few hours!***I think the matte product is only appropriate for very, very oily skin.*** I can't see this working on anyone with any other types (normal, sensitive, etc). I noticed that my skin has started over-producing oil to make up for the drying effect--I'm not usually shiny by the end of the day but I have been since I started using Coola.

I've moved on to John Masters Suncare Natural Mineral Sunscreen (more moisturizing) but may one day return to Coola to try their non-matte face sunblock.

This stuff is either new or not very well known because it's really hard to find reviews about it, but I am so glad I found it! This really is the best matte sunblock there is. It feels a bit whipped in texture when you pump it out. It dries almost immediately and has a mild cucumber scent. It's perfect for oily and/or acne prone skin. It doesn't seem to leave any white cast when rubbed in well, but then I'm pale so I couldn't tell if it did. It is a little pricey for the size, but I really don't mind because I only have to use about a pea size daily. Try it!

I don't know how I was living my life without this sunblock!It's moussey and just amazing!I have WICKED oily skin, and this is the ONLY product on earth that keeps my face matte throughout a warm day.I will spend the rest of my life shelling out the cash for this tube of sunblock.
