I have allergies to gluten, soy and dairy so I have to be pretty careful when it comes to personal care products.The Blistex line was recommended to me since it is free of all three allergens.I tried several of the other varieties of Blistex but found them to be too "pasty" and I had trouble getting the lip balm spread evenly.I found this particular variety in a gas station and decided to try it.I love this!!It is a thinner consistency than the other Blistex varieties I've tried so I have no problems with coverage.Also, it feels very lightweight on my lips as well, not heavy like the other kind.And if you like the kind of menthol / peppermint feel of some lip balms, this has it too but a bit lighter than Burt's Bees.
A note about availability:Apparently this variety of Blistex is not available in every state so I bought mine online.The first tube I got was while I was on a road trip and I don't remember which state it was.
