Blistex Herbal Answer Lip Balm SPF 15 Sunscreen

Blistex Herbal Answer Lip Balm SPF 15 SunscreenI have allergies to gluten, soy and dairy so I have to be pretty careful when it comes to personal care products. The Blistex line was recommended to me since it is free of all three allergens.I tried several of the other varieties of Blistex but found them to be too "pasty" and I had trouble getting the lip balm spread evenly.I found this particular variety in a gas station and decided to try it.I love this!!

It is a thinner consistency than the other Blistex varieties I've tried so I have no problems with coverage. Also, it feels very lightweight on my lips as well, not heavy like the other kind. And if you like the kind of menthol / peppermint feel of some lip balms, this has it too but a bit lighter than Burt's Bees.

A note about availability:Apparently this variety of Blistex is not available in every state so I bought mine online. The first tube I got was while I was on a road trip and I don't remember which state it was.

tarte Maracuja Miracle 12 hour Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 1 fl Oz.

tarte Maracuja Miracle 12 hour Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 1 fl Oz.I tried it the day after I received it, and found the color very light compared to the previous Tarte foundation and Tarte tinted moisturizer that I own in Medium as well. I checked on the bottle, and it was written "fair". I contacted the seller, she/he answered a couple of days later, accepting my return, and mentioning that it could not be possible as she/he owns only medium colors.... Well I had a fair...and it was quite obvious to see on my skin as it did not match, and was written in big letters under the bottle...

I finally forgot to send it back on time, as I was wanting to empty my other Tarte foundation back.

Great price. Cheaper than Sephora. Fast service(unlike Sephora.com). Love the makeup because its semi natural. Pump could be better...sometimes it goes into the sink.

Minus-Sol Facial Sun Protection SPF 30+ (25 g - color ivory)

Minus-Sol Facial Sun Protection SPF 30+This product has changed the way that I wear makeup!I use this every morning over moisturizer, and add a powder bronzer over it (it does make you a little pale.)But the creamy consistency is amazing, and I don't need to wear foundation any more.I am in my 40s, and while I am concerned about sun damage and wrinkles, I can also break out if something is too heavy. This is perfect, and has never caused break outs. When I look at my friends, I can honestly say that after using this every day for a year, my skin looks better than most women my age.I can't recommend this product enough, I even have my teenage girls using this as we live in the south, and they have not broken out either. It is a must for anyone who is serious about having great looking skin. This is the first review that I have written on amazon, but I felt strongly enough about this product.Try it, you will not be sorry! Also, a little goes a long way, this tube lasted me for about three months just on the face and neck.I figure that is about what I would spend at least on a good foundation and sunscreen!

I love this sunscreen. My dermatologist recommended it.I have tried every specialty facial sunscreen out there, including Vanicream and the ones you can only get online or through dermatologist offices. This one is by far the best.I like to get the ivory tinted version and I put it on every morning before putting on any other make-up.Sometimes I put foundation on over it, but sometimes I just use this and a little powder.I have very oily skin that tends to break out, even though I'm 35.This is the only sunscreen that not only does it job protecting me from sun damage, but also doesn't cause acne.I highly recommend this for anyone with sensitive skin or acne-prone skin.

Burt's Bees Chemical-Free Sunscreen SPF 30 3.5 fl.oz/100 ml

Burt's Bees Chemical-Free Sunscreen SPF 30 3.5 fl.oz/100 mlThis is the only sunscreen I know of that is both cruelty free and chemical free. There are several other cruelty-free brands on the market, but they stink of chemicals. If you are used to commercial sunblocks, you might be used to the chemical odor and not notice it.I stopped using chemical sunblocks 3-4 years ago, and I gradually became more sensitive to fragrances.I can still smell the old chemical sunblock on the necklines of shirts that have been laundered multiple times in those 3-4 years since I stopped using it.Burts Bees sunscreen is more expensive because of the ingredients used, but it smells terrific and I enjoy having it against my skin.

Having said that, there are a couple of disadvantages. The strongest version available is 30, whereas I really would prefer to buy 45 SPF.The texture also needs some work.It tends to be a bit thick and sticky, and makes my complexion look a shade lighter after I put it on.When it gets wet, it comes off in a whitish-colored liquid. This is a disadvantage because chemical sunblocks damage coral reefs, so if I ever have a chance to dive coral reefs, I won't have a waterproof sunblock to wear while I'm doing it.Still, no other manufacturer has come up with a better chemical free formula yet, and I'm sure that if there is more consumer demand, they will keep working on improving the texture to compete in the marketplace. Also the price tends to be higher, again because there is a fairly small consumer demand and not a lot of competition making this type of product.I still think after 3-4 years of using this product, the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages.

This product was terrible. I usually like Burts Bees products, the quality is worth the price, but at $14 a bottle I really would not recommend this product to anyone. The lotion goes on very thick, and never really quite rubs in, leaving a chalky layer of white/purple. As one of the other reviewers mentioned, it doesn't really even work. It rubbed off on to most of the other things that I touched, including my bathing suit, which was white, and now stained.

We bought this product last season and used it during spring break in cancun, making sure it hadn't expired. My dad had only applied this on his back, using something else on the rest of his body. I applied this all over my body, especially my back because that is where I burn the worst. After only about an hour really standing directly in the sun, we left the beach both badly burned. I wouldn't use this product unless you really enjoy ruining your week and getting burned!

After reading a bunch of bad reviews I decided to write one. It really isn't that bad. This is more like just a facial sunscreen. It's not that sticky. Honestly some people make it seem like it's vaseline or marshmellow cream! It's not going to have the same protection as chemically stronger sunscreens. Do not buy this for your whole body or to go out to the beach/pool etc. It's more of a daily sunscreen for your face. My mom has a lot of sunspots on her face so I always use sunscreen before applying makeup as well as reapplying when needed throughout the day. I use very little and pat it onto my face reducing the stickyness and have no problem applying my foundation etc.I haven't gotten burned. I am out most of the day, am fair-skinned and live in Texas. I use Banana Boat sunscreen for my whole body but I use this sunscreen for my face. People say it comes off with water; I rarely go to the pool and there is no beach nearby so I have no problem with it washing off with water.

Other than that it's a decent sunscreen. It's natural which is great. It has no paraben, phthalates or petrochemicals. Apply a generous amount. If applied on face rub it with your hands first than apply to face so it's not too sticky.

California Baby SPF 18 Everyday/Year-Round, 4.5Ounce

California Baby SPF 18 Everyday/Year-Round, 4.5OunceI really like this product line. It wears well under make-up-I use a light face powder.

Be aware that you need to rub-in fairly well as the titanium dioxide makes this white (like good sunblocks should).

I have naturally dry skin so this isn't too oily or greasy for me. It doesn't feel heavy at all.

I've also used the SPF 30, which does have a heavier texture and feel, but for hot/bright summer months it is worth avoiding the risks of skin cancer!

When I saw the most recent breakdown of general sunscreen safety levels and ingredient information I was honestly horrified. California Baby rated at the top of the list for safety and clean ingredients. It's also the most expensive but with this kind of thing you really are making a conscious investment in the health and safety of your child.

I ordered two bottles one for home and one to leave at her preschool.

I love the way this goes on, it is light, smooth and does NOT leave a white residue.

The smell is something like a light lemon odor, not unpleasant and goes away quickly.

I can slather my daughter, full-body with this without a lot of 'pulling' at the sunscreen to get it to smooth over her skin. It feels like a quality product and we love it!

Also, a little bit goes a LONG way so this bottle should last quite a while even with full-body application almost every day.

I have tired 3 of the "low concern" products listed on the Environmental Working Group's database. This by far is the best.First, it doesn't feel like you are spreading toothpaste on your face.Second, it doesn't turn you blue.Third, it smells nice.I use it on a daily bases beneath my make-up.

Generally, I like the California Baby brand most of their products are rated as safe by Environmental Work Group (EWG.org).It came to my surprise that this particular product wasn't rated as safe (a 4 a moderate hazard) due to the lower UV protection (SPF 18).If I were to purchase a sunscreen for my daughter, I would definitely stick with California Baby brand but buy one with a higher SPF.Also, the lemongrass scent can be overpowering.Apart from that, this sunscreen didn't cause an adverse reaction on my daughter's very sensitive skin, blended in quickly and despite the lower spf rating, seemed to offer enough protection during brief outings.

ActiveUse Broad Spectrum SPF 35 Sunscreen: 1-16oz + 1-2oz Bundle

ActiveUse Broad Spectrum SPF 35 Sunscreen: 1-16oz + 1-2oz BundleI normally avoid using sunscreen for all the messy and unpleasant sensation when putting it on or wearing it. I am an outdoor person with sensitive skin, so not using sunscreen is really a bad habit for me with occasional painful consequences. A couple months ago I got a package of ActiveUse sunscreen as a gift from a good friend, and decided to give it a try for a few days around house and on a weekend hike. I was very pleasantly surprised with how it felt putting on, quickly absorbed, and there was absolutely no greasy/sweaty sensation while having it on even on a strenuous hike.

Two weeks ago I was on a tropical scuba trip and had taken the ActiveUse package in my dive gear. I could not be happier that I had it no sunburns on the longer boat rides to the dive sites, no sunburns while rinsing my gear, no smears in my dive mask from having sunscreen on my face, and no problem putting it on salty wet skin when coming out of the water. It was an excellent revelation; I can now use sunscreen regularly.

The big bottle / little bottle idea is also so brilliant. I have enough to last the whole vacation, but only need to carry a small bottle with me in my pouch and it lasts forever. On the dive trip I had my son use it as well, and let some other divers try it out, still over a week we hardly used up a third of the big bottle.

ActiveUse has certainly changed my view of sunscreen can't wait to experience the sunny season without the sunburns.

This suncreen is totally great.Lately I've been trying to use products free of harmful ingredients, and this fits the bill.I've noticed that my rosacea is a lot less noticeable since I stared using this in earnest. You only need a little bit, too, so it's a very good value, in addition to being high-quality. Buy this, you won't be disappointed!

I really loved this product. Not only does it work really well, but it doesn't give you the icky sticky feeling that most well working sunscreens do. It also leaves my skin softer than before I put it on, which is an added bonus. Plus, I love the big bottle/little bottle set up. I can keep the big bottle at home to use in the mornings, and throw the little one in my purse to have all day long. The quantity and quality of the sunscreen you get make it definitely worth the price!

Great product!!!Once absorbed, Active Use leaves your skin feeling as though you have used an expensive moisturizer. And how nice to have a truly fragrance free option for a change!I have very pale children with sensitive skin, and run through a lot of sunscreen on a regular basis.Selling this product in this large size makes it affordable and easy to protect my kids. And I can feel confident that I am not putting any dangerous chemicals on their skin. It's actually, affirmatively, GOOD for your skin!I highly recommend you try it!

My dermatologist created this product, and I must say... I LOVE IT! I hate to put creams and lotions on my skin even though I have very dry skin, and this product once on just feels great.

The coverage is so good with the zinc oxide in it, that I have even stopped wearing foundation, which is an incrediblebonus, and saves me money and time in the morning. When my skin is especially dry, I'll put a little natural, organic moisturizer on underneath, pat a pea sized amount on my fingertips then pat on my face, and the ActiveUse goes on and spreads beautifully.

There are no parabens or other cancer causing ingredients in this product, which is the main reason I refused to wear other sunscreens, and so I'm incredibly happy about that.

TRY THIS PRODUCT... it will last you a long time and save you money on other products as well.

Raw Unrefined Shea Butter TOP Grade From Ghana 5Lbs-- SOFTThis is the best deal I found on Amazon. I use it to make body butter and it is the best moisturizer I've ever have. MISSION Skincare Fast-Drying Sunscreen SPF 30+ Spray, 3.4-Fluid Ounce Box

MISSION Skincare Fast-Drying Sunscreen SPF 30+ Spray, 3.4-Fluid Ounce BoxDries quickly, easy to rub in, not messy or greasy. Perfect for being outdoors when you don't want to have to "stick" to everything.I find this to be the perfect product for golf. Unfortunately it's rarely available at any retail stores.

This sunscreen is the only product our who family can use. My husband was prone to breakouts with regular sunscreen. No more breakouts! I would find myself reapplying regular sunscreen more often than I wanted. No more reapplying every 20 minutes due to sweat outdoors. My son who is three has been using this product as well and he likes it because it is quick drying, not creamy, and does not irritate his skin. Did I mention we live in the desert southwest? It works, you should buy it!

Vanicream Sunscreen, Sensitive Skin, Spf 60, 4 Ounce

Vanicream Sunscreen, Sensitive Skin, Spf 60, 4 OunceI have HEAVILY researched sunscreens for about 6 months. Here are my concerns and some some facts I have learned.I have no affiliation with any company.I am not a scientist.I have a newborn on the way and my wife and I live in a very hot area and we both are light skinned, and I am anal and analytical to a fault.take from this what you will.

1.Harmful cancer-causing sunlight consists of UVA and UVB rays. But UVB are the rays that cause a tan.If you are not burning, you can still be getting pelted by UVA rays and not even know it- Ask any dermatologist--Many people get cancer on their hands and arms even though they think they are always covering up, but in fact when driving for decades, UVA is damanging their skin badly--UVA can penetrate glass--

2."SPF" protection refers only to UVB protection. Many of the worst melanomas and skim damage are caused by UVA, although both UVA and UVB are very harmful. So when you see "SPF" 60 or 100 or whatever, you may very well be receiving limited coverage and protection.

1.Zinc Oxide is the only non-chemical substance that can effectively block close to 100% of the UVA harmful rays, and blocks most of the UVB rays.Titanium Dioxide is the only non-toxic substance that can effectively block 100% of UVB rays, and most of the UVA rays. These substances are referred to as "mineral" sunblockers.

2. Even a mineral (non-chemical product) that does not contain some combination of both can be excellent, but not provide 100% coverage. (unless you are applying so much Zinc Oxide white layers "like you see surfers wearing on their nose" that the physical barrier alone will take care of almost all UVA and UVB.Some formulations use one or the other, but again, ideally you want both for full sprecturm coverage. This product lists both as active ingreditents.

3.When you see "full UVA and UVB spectrum coverage" on any product tube it may well mean nothing. It may mean that 99% of UVB is covered, and only 1% of UVA, but they can still call it "full spreturm."

4.Chemical-based sunscreens can also block 100% of UVA and UVB.Most every product you will find in stores iss based on chemical screens. The knock on these products is that they are said to have been proven to readily absorb into the deepest layers of the skin, where the toxins are released into the blood in large amounts, and need reapplication much more than chemical blockers. Most of these chemicals have also--according to my research--but you must determine this for yourself-been proven very clearly to cause cancer in lab animals. Many specultate that this fact, along with the fact that these products lose their effectiveness very quickly and produce free radicals in the skin, and that those folks using high SPF products without UVA protection tend to stay in the sun longer, may be why skin cancer rates are higher in those using suncsreens than not using them.

5.Cosmetically, mineral blockers leave horrible white coating on the skin.Chemical screens do not. That is why chemical screens are so popular.Attemps by companies selling mineral blockers to reduce the "ghost" effect have led to the formulation of "nanonized" and "micronized" formulations, with very small particles that spread more easily that minimize dramatically the whiteness of the mineral blockers.Nano particles are 100 times smaller than micronized, which are much, much smaller than normal mineral blocker particles.

6.There has been a lot of hpye over the danger of nano/micro particles in lotions and products. It has been hyped that due to their small size they absorb in to the lower layers of the skin and enter the bloodstream in toxic leves just like the chemical screens.

7.My research--again, ad nauseum--you must confirm this for yourself--shows me that there has never been any credible study to prove these particles absorb into the deep layers of the skin.Recent studies, in my opinion, have proven conclusively otherwise. As well, I believe the FDA has recently de-bunked the "nano/micro myth."Check to confirm I am on the right track. Most of the hype seems to come from overzealous "green" sites who have not fully done their research or are mis-interpreting true studies, or citing non-peer-reviewed, double blind solid studies. Check with your dermatologist. Many probably mean well, but seem to be using incorrect information. From what I understand, breathing in titanium dioxide dust intoyour lungs in huge quantities would be a problem, but from a sunscreen, no.

8.The next concern I have is that nano and micro particles, if uncoated, have higher "photoreactivity" which causes them to release free radicals in the skin when exposed to UV light, thereby being cancerous. This is another reason people think that chemical and even nano/micro screens can lead to even more cancers in sunscreen users.

9.My research has led me to believe--you must check for yourself--that when coated with alumina, dimethicone or othercoatings, the photoreactivty problem is reduced to minimal levess. Also, when the product itself has many anti-oxidents to offset the free-radicals themselves, the oxidation problem appears to be neutralized.Again, do the research yourself. Some products coat their screens, some do not.I have been told by a company rep that Vanicream coasts theirs very effectively.I would call them to confirm.

10.My next issue is with alumina.I don't want aluminum from deodorant or any other source.Vanicreme has it listed as the first ingredietnt.I have fouund out that somme sunscreens--including Vanicreme, are considered pharmaceuticals so they must list their ingredients in alphabetical order, not in descending order of concentration. Check with the company, but it is my understanding that the amount of alumina in this product is the least amount of any other ingredient, and on application is less than we probably get in our water or food--again--check to make sure yourself.I think their new products coming out have no alumina.Check with the company.

11.I have not checked into the other ingredients in this product, many sound strange to me, so you might want to check those. But as for the active ingredients repsonsible for blocking the sun and protecting you, that is what I found out and i am more comforatble with this product than any I have seen or found.

12.I find it to be a bit greasy, but overall after rubbing it in thoroughly, after a while it blends in pretty well and I use it every day on my face--but again, it is still a little greasy to me.

In my opinion, after checking numerous products, that vanicreme is the safest for me to use, and I like the cosmetic features of the product. more than the numerous products I have tried. You must research the product thoroughly or you may be doing more harm than good from some of these products.

I was looking for a safe, effective sunsreen for my trip to Southeast Asia this summer. Here are what I think are the strengths and weaknesses for this product

Strengths:

1, Many non-chemical sunscreens actually fail to live up to their SPF, but I do think it successfully protected my skin in the worst UV environment. (But I also used hats and such)

2, It is relatively safe for my skin. It didn't make my skin break out.

Weaknesses:

1, THE greasiest sunscreen I ever experienced. It's ok when you're out hiking or at the beach, but when I went out to see friends, they often commented on how much I was "sweating." When I really did sweat, it made the cream turn white and visible (dotty on my face).

2, As it's noted on Skin Deep Cosmetic safety database, it's not perfectly safe. While I didn't have any breakouts, my face (not my body) got itchy wearing this. But I was able to get around it by putting on a moisturizer before applying this.

3, It's pretty tough to wash off. Though it's not waterproof, after I washed my body I could still smell it and see it on my skin (showing up white especially in wrinkly area).

Despite the problems, I think I might use it again next summer (at least on my body) because I haven't been able to find a better safe, high SPF sunscreen. Other ones don't make my face shiny but make my face look all white.

My dermatologist told me to use Vanicream or Neutrogena for my melasma. Neutrogena stings like crazy after using an exfoliator or Retin-A. Vanicream feels like a dream. I have never had any tanning or darkening of spots when I have it on. I have normal to oily skin and it doesn't make me break out. It is a little oily, but only if you lay it on too thick. If you want a matte finish to your face, that's what face powder was made for!

My skin reacts to a lot of sunscreens by breaking out in a rash, but I am a redhead and need very high SPF protection when I am outdoors for extended periods of time. This sunscreen does the trick for me when I am hiking and biking, and the physical block absorbs easily and doesn't leave a white film on my face. I don't use it on a daily basis, however (going to work in the city, when exposure is brief), because it does feel a little heavy for that purpose.

Want Vanicream Sunscreen, Sensitive Skin, Spf 60, 4 Ounce Discount?

I have sensitive skin and am a woman of color. Most physical sun blocks look horrible and do not completely disappear...even a slight white film is completely visible on my skin.I stumbled upon Vanicream at a non-chain pharmacy and the pharmacist said it was good and let me try it on my skin.It did not leave a white film and so I got it.Have been using it for about 2 years now.It is thick and does go on greasy. It is a little labor intensive to use because of the consistency but this is how I put in on, which is similar to how I was told to put on thick night creams:I rub it between my hands and "pat" it all over my face. After contact with the skin, it seems to melt a little, making it easier to spread. You do need to spread it so it rubs in and not just wait for it to absorb. As another review noted, because it is gentle, it does not irritate my eyes and so I can use it under my eyes for coverage, no problem. After that I let it sit while I do other things (brush my teeth, whatever) and then put on my makeup. It is particularly good if you use a stick foundation which I stopped using for awhile because it was a little too dry/matte, but over the SS, provides a nice "tinted moisturizer" type finish. If there is a still a little shine left, I do NOT use powder but oil blotting paper. This, for me, seems to work pretty well and my face feels soft and protected all day.I LOVE it in the winter; less so in the summer but keep coming back to it year-round because I don't like how other sunscreens make my face sting or the smell of them.

2010 PLAYBOY GLOW GIRL Fast Acting Accelerator level 2 10.1z

2010 PLAYBOY GLOW GIRL Fast Acting Accelerator level 2 10.1zI had used this product before, I love the smell, & it works great for me. The price was perfect, & it came in on time. In the package were a couple free samples of other lotions, & a few stickers for tanning.

This tanning lotion is absolutely fantastic. I use it all the time before I go tanning and my results are amazing. I tan well anyways but this just makes it faster and easier to get the tan that I love. The price is excellent and definitely worth it. I will caution those who have sensitive skin using this product may not be the best cause it may cause you to break out. This is also for people who like to tan and are more experienced with tanning, this certainly isn't a lotion for the first time tanning accelerator user. But for those tanners who want an excellent long lasting tan this is the lotion for you.

This product left my skin really soft and my tan lasted so long. I didn't tan from October to January and I kept my tan the whole time (I could tell from the sticker). You don't have to use very much to get results. Also, this smells so good. I'm in love. Its the only product for me.

Condition 3-N-1 Mousse 6 oz. Moisturizing

Condition 3-N-1 Mousse 6 oz. MoisturizingThis mousse is the BEST, especially for curly or wavy hair. I absolutely love it. I used to be able to buy it in a few local stores, but it is impossible to find anywhere except online. I hope and pray it is never discontinued!

I used to use this moose in high school I don't know why it is almost impossible to find in the stores lately or for the past few years. I am so glad that this company allows you to purchase it on line. This moose will define your style and hold it without making your hair hard or frizzy. It has a conditioner that makes your hair feel like silk when its dry and keeps your hair conditioned till your next shampoo. The only downside is, it has a sunscreen for your hair included so if you are looking for those summer high lights you might want to skip this one for that day. The company's shipping is super fast, in my case before I even got a shipping confirmation it was at my door. That's great service :)

Vital Radiance Pore Refining Line Softening Makeup for Normal/Combination Skin, SPF 15, Sunlit Beige 250, Warm, 1 fl ozMy wife uses this and was disappointed as it has been discontinued by Revlon. Its a great product in her experience and she has only been able to find it online. She has used other high end products (eg: Beauty Control) but found this one better than any others she has used.Too bad.

Can't believe this was discontinued. I love this product and will keep using it as long as I can find more online! Goes on smooth and does not sink into lines on face. Covers great! I don't have the best skin but this makes me look like I do!

The product (foundation) was defective (I have used this before) and the supplier, American Beauty would not give me refund because they said it was opened (how are you supposed to tell if it is defective without using it???)Then they told me I should have known it was defective because there was makeup on the bottle (which there wasn't when I sent it back.)Even after arguing how illogical these statements were, they then deleted the email address so they couldn't take my emails anymore.Watch out if you want to return something to American Beauty!!!!!Thankfully Amazon returned my money with their A to Z guarantee.Thank you Amazon :)

I love this makeup! It works well on mature skin. I was disappointed that I could no longer by it in the stores but happy to still be able to have access to it online.

A great product. The coverage is just right for my 40+ combination skin, it has SPF, and it makes my skin look great. I'm very sad that they discontinued this line.
