Clinique City Block Sheer Oil-Free Daily Face Protector SPF 25 Sunscreens

I have used the clinique city block 25 SPF for a few years now and it is odorless.It is the only sunscreen that I have found that I can tolerate on my face.It does not make my eyes water.I am very sensitive to odors and chemical components of most sunscreens.As far as protection goes, this 25 SPF is just OK.I got sunburned this weekend from being in the sun for approximately 3 hours after applying 2 coats before going out.So you must reapply very often to get good sun protection.The city block is great under foundation or alone.I use the city block and then cover with pressed powder.Great for limited sun exposure.Be careful because the next step up with clinique is city block 40 SPF which DOES have a sunscreen odor and causes eye irritation, for me at least.

This does double-duty for me year-round as a light foundation and sunscreen.I have very fair oily/sensitive skin, and it has never been irritated or broken out from City Block.I especially like that it's appropriate for the eye area because I've found it very hard to find a sunscreen okay for eyes except an Avon product, which they discontinued.I've never gotten a sunburn while wearing it, but under a searing summer sun I mix a higher SPF sunscreen with it like Neutrogena's oil-free for faces, or Blue Lizard oil-free for faces, both of which my skin can tolerate well.By mixing it in this way, City Block still serves as my lightweight "foundation."My skin had an adverse reaction to Clinique's similar product, Almost Make-up, so I hope they don't ever discontinue City Block.Recommended.BTW, I don't know about you, but I'm getting sick of companies discontinuing good products all the time!

Not great or amazing!I've used it both in winter and in summer, have to say it is more a winter sunblock, because in summer it melts and makes you look super shiny!In winter it kind of hangs in there a little better, it is heavier than I would like, though it says sheer, lotion has a little tint about it, which I indeed liked because, it subtly conceals any slight imperfections you might have, would work better for drier skins I think.

I have used this product for years, despite it being so expensive. I have tried every "for faces" sun protection product on the market and they all irritate my extremely sensitive skin. Not this one!I use it year-round except for winter, applying it after my red-reducing moisturizer. I like the little tint it leaves, as I do not wear makeup (can't tolerate any makeup on my face). It is the only Clinique product I use;I've been able to find cheaper substitutes for their soap, etc. but no sun-protection substitute.As someone else said, I hope they do not discontinue this or I will be in trouble!

I have combination, fair skin with freckles.I have been using this for about a week and so far, I really like it.I didn't think that I would like the tint, but I do.It evens out tone a little bit and hides small imperfections, kind of like a tinted moisturizer.It dries to a nice soft, sheer finish.It offers good sun protection for me.I had a big outdoor party yesterday, applied it once, and it lasted all day.I didn't burn, even a little, and it stayed put, even though it was 90 degrees out!Most importantly, it has not made me break out!So i will continue to use it.So five stars for now.If it makes me break out, I will revise....

Leaves skin very white so not the most esthetically pleasing, but works well.

The bottle seemed like it was not even 50% full upon delivery so i may try another product.

I want to give this a better review because it does do the job, but I'm really not fond of the product. I was looking for something decent that was more natural for my family. I ended up only using this on my toddler because I just couldn't stand the way it felt on my skin. I found it to be a bit on the greasy side so neither my husband or I ended up using it after one use unless we were desperate for it. I would literally have to wipe my son down super thoroughly after every application because of the thick, uncomfortable mess it left on his skin.

I like the odor and it worked perfectly.It is actually so water resistent that after an hour of ocean swimming, the water beaded up on my legs.

It is whitish to apply, and really thick (viscous).I think if an ingredient could be added to make it less viscous, it would be better in my opinion.Nevertheless, it's the best eco-friendly sunblock I've found, so I'll keep using it.

I actually have the beginnings of fine lines when I laugh and when I smile I notice the lines appear at the outer corners of my eyes.

I also see under the eye looks dry&sunken often if I don't wear eye cream.I use this product everyday to protect the thin skin under my eyes from sun and to make the skin there look moisturized.It helps a lot!I feel naked without it.It actually gives me a moist look which helps the skin reflect the light and brightens under my eye. I know longterm use should improve the elasticity but Im not sure ANY eye cream does that so I use this in the day&am looking for something without sunscreen in the night.Just don't want to spend too much!I don't like anything too thick.This is nice and thin but not watery.I LOVE this cream-really! You can really feel the results the very first time you use these. My pores shrank instantly. I've had several comments on how good this product smells just wish they'd package it in a tube or something.Bought two of these step 1 & step 2.On one, the plunger never worked and I had to keep switching it out between the two bottles.When it stopped working and was presumably empty, out of curiosity, I cut them open to find almost 1/4 of the bottle was still full it was such that the fill tube for the plunger just wasn't in the right spot to suck up the rest of the lotion.

With that being said, the lotion is just too thick, lacks absorbency, and leaves skin looking ghostly white. Perhaps worst of all is its woody smell that is hard to wash off. I'd only recommend this product to customers who will be applying the product in small amounts.

I read a lot of reviews on this and most were pretty positive so I ordered it.From day 1 I had problems keeping the pressure at the right level.Then while doing a spray tan at my salon the hose blew off of the machine.I had to tape it and keep re-taping it to finish my client.They company sent me a new hose... not overnighted... regular mail.I had to cancel a weeks worth of clients.I used the new hose on 2 clients and on the 3rd client it broke again.I contacted the seller and stated I wanted a refund because at this point I have lost too much revenue and I didn't have the time to keep waiting for new parts.This is not only losing me money but it's losing repeat and future business. The company stated they would give me $89.99 in store credit.I replied back stating this is not acceptable... that there is a 2 year warranty on the machine and it has broken twice and I was purchasing a new machine from a different company.My last response from them states after 30 days they will not refund my money so I can either take the credit or send the machine back... at my cost... and wait for it to be repaired.At this point I'm out the $220 I spent on this machine plus hundreds of dollars in revenue and I have just spent over $400 on a new machine from a different company.Not only is their product cheaply made and not worth the money their customer service is atrocious.

Really good for those of us that have dry sensitive skin and are prone to sun damage.I found that if you apply it in spots and let the cream warm up with your body temp that it is easier to spread and incorporate into your skin.

This lotion has me a little torn. I'm not really sure if I like it or not. It's SUPER hot for one. If you don't like lotions that tingle, don't even go near this stuff! I literally sat on the couch, and within minutes got up and someone sat where I had been and they starting tingling and turning red too! Overall, I had high expectations for this lotion. What is the pint of this ridiculous bottle design?I guess you are supposed to "dial in" your desired tone, but the application is a joke.The two fluids (one a tanning lotion, the other a moisturizer base) are separated in the bottle, and you adjust the ratio of each one being dispensed. Nice theory, horrible execution.Inconsistent application, just means I have to manually dispense each lotion myself and "eyeball" the concoction, then make sure to thoroughly mix the two.If you don't premix them, then you get uneven skin tonesand that's embarrassing!

So, you can get by with this if you have a little patience and resilience, but for the more discriminate consumer, you might want to try something else..

Pevonia Lightening Line- Renewing Glycocides Cream (1.7oz)

I saw results from using Pevonia Renewing Glycocides Cream on day one of using it. I applied it at night, and my skin just had this very smooth, glowing look. I did feel a slight tingling sensation from the glycolic acid, but didn't experience any irritation even with using it every night. I feel that people with more sensitive skin might be more prone to irritation with this product, so maybe it's best to start of using it every other day. Also, I was told that glycolic acid makes your skin more sensitive to sun, so I wore a high SPF during the day.

I also have keratosis pilaris or KP on my uppers arms (small red bumps that never go away), and I tried using this cream to see if it makes the KP any better. Since it contains glycolic acid, after 3 days, the bumps were noticeably reduced and the redness was barely there. So a very nice and unexpected benefit!

Beyond Coastal Natural Spf 30 Sunscreen

My mother has been using this for about a year now.She's had skin cancer so must wear a sunscreen 24/7.This is the only one she's found in years of trying that she can wear everyday and not break out.

The Beyond Coastal sunscreens are the best. I've never gotten burned when using them for a full day of swimming in strong sun. This mineral based one is a little thicker than the others and leaves a whitish film on skin. Very hard to wash off, so be careful where you get it. But it does an amazing job protecting your skin.
