This creamy makeup has been my favorite for a while now. It's easy to apply, not requiring more attention than I can spare before leaving for work in the morning, and lasts well. It doesn't rub off on my clothes, which is important in the winter when scarves and coat collars are too easily stained by some other brands.
I have used philosophy shelter for about three years. The previous shelter was only 15 spf but was much easier to use. The new version has higher spf and is much thicker and has a strange tan color. It reminds of bit o honey candy in terms of color and fragrance. Not to swift. The strange tan color is actually from the un-tinted one. I have blonde hair/ eyebrows so it stains my eyebrows which bothers me. I have to try and rub off the weird yellow residue on eyebrows after applying to my face. I would have preferred that they simply make the untinted version white/ or no color. In terms of protection, it does a good job. It absorbs quickly. warning! this product WILL stain your clothes with the icky tan color so be careful to wash your hands after applying.

I really like this sunscreen. It is a little pasty once you put it on but it goes on smooth. Another great product from Philosophy!!!I have tried at least 10 different sunscreen face creams and all were too heavy and very difficult to blend when applying to the face.Just a small dot of Shelter goes on smoothly and gives lots of coverage.

I have rosacea and this moisturizer keeps the redness under control.It does have a slight white tint so use only a pea size drop for the whole face...this will also allow the moisturizer to absorb better.I have normal skin.Wash with ceraveon my clarisonic then use this moisturizer and my pores are almost nonexistent. So much so that i have had people to ask what I'm doing different.

I really wanted to like this product because I'm always on the look out for a good high SPF moisturizer, but I ended up hating it! I received a sample in some beauty box or other and although it was a tiny sample, I only needed one use to know that I wouldn't be purchasing the full size. Glad to see more and more physical sunscreens available at the drugstore.Physical/mineral based sunscreens work for my sensitive skin while chemical based sunscreen gives me hives. This sunscreen works well and feels good, also the odor is not strong and so I recommend it.

I have tried several mineral block sunscreens before. Some of them very expensive ($50). Aveeno feels lighter weight than others and protects very well.
These didn't really work with my face/head, but they make my wife look like Marcie of Peanuts fame. That is totally cool!
Lotion: I've tried a lot of different tanning lotions, and I've decided that the silicone-type are by far the best, this included.. The lotion goes on smoothly, soaks in quickly, and never feels greasy afterwards. Just as moisturizing as any other lotion, but pleasantly light and silky.
