i've been waiting for an organic tinted sunblock for soooo long. i've used clinique cityblock forever but would prefer an organic alternative. i have to buy something with a yellow undertone as mine is very pink. i bought 'sand' from juice beauty website. since i live in a small town, i contacted the company to ask if it was a yellow undertone and never received a response back-email and telephone call not returned.i finally made my way to a whole foods and they were sold out of the 'light' but i sampled the tester and really thought it was great so i bought two of these from the website since i was having to pay shipping.
1. they must have changed the formula, because 'sand' is not yellow/neutral(it used to be called 'light'). i can't figure out what the undertoneis but is definitely not yellow.
2. it becomes very GREASY after while. it doesn't leave the tube that way, and even after i massaged and squished the tube it was exactly the same. i've ruined my compact powder because my sponge was so oily.
3. i've tried to use it for three weeks and after a few hours my skin looks TERRIBLE.
4. i posted my review on the company website stating what i wrote here almost word for word. it was sent to be reviewed for 'moderation'. then i noticed that there are NO bad or moderate reviews on their product website. all are 4 and 5 star reviews.
it's early yet but i have a feeling that my reviews won't be posted nor will i be contacted out of concern for customer service.
at 30$ a pop, it's an expensive lesson to learn; if you cannot contact the company, realize that they aren't interested in your satisfaction.

If you are looking for an organic product that provides SPF as well as daily moisture under your makeup, this is THE ONE. I've been using it for more than six months now, and really love it.
My experience with this tinted moisturizer has been GREAT. I have very fair, sensitive skin, which really needs a daily moisturizer with SPF of at least 30. In the past, I've tried blending my foundation with sunscreen to avoid layering on too much stuff. (My skin might be dry, but BOTH a moisturizer AND a sunscreen gets to be way too much goop on my face!) Now I use this product alone as both my daily facial moisturizer/foundation; it works REALLY well under makeup, and holds powder well. I frequently get compliments on my "glowy" complexion and smooth skin -both of which I credit to this product!
So give it a try, and see if it works for you. I recommend squirting a ribbon of the product on your hand and blending it with your fingers before applying it to your face, in order to get really even coverage. Hope it works as well for you, too!

I've been on a mad hunt for non-chemical sunscreens for years now.I came across Juice Beauty about a year ago and have been using it ever since.I can't figure out how it goes on so easily-no thick, pasty issueswithout the chemical agents!I have fair skin and hate to use foundation-and this has been the perfect solution.I love the slight smell, and the light tint is great-just a bit of coverage.I buy it in pairs, and I also buy it for friends!Love this product!!! I LOVE this product and am very excited about finding it.I was a little leery at first about purchasing I was worried it not be the right color and possibly too greasy.Since I had already tried a small sample of the Juice Beauty CC Cream (from BirchBox) I decided to follow my instinct and go ahead with the purchase.I am SO happy I did because I really love what this does for me.It has enough coverage to even out the skin tone, removing redness while making my skin look moisturized and smooth. I think the color would work well for anyone with light skin.It is NOT greasy at all, and smells GREAT!I Love the smell it's addicting. I have only been using it for a few days and see great improvement in my skin texture.The fact that it is organic makes me like it even more, because I know it doesn't contain harmful additives that could clog pores. This is the best. I am a fanatic about my skin. I am also a fan of La Mer and gladly spend the $130 per jar, but I think of that as a true moisturizer and not really corrective. With this ROC deep wrinkle daily moisturizer you get visible results with religious use. (Of course, the idea that you can fix a deep wrinkle is stupid, so if you are 28 35 and thinking you need to take charge of your skin, buy this now. You need to start preventing the worst wrinkles with this, and not try to solve it later.) The tube is small, but you don't need to use a lot to get good coverage. I think it's actually quite a good value. I use it on my face, hands, neck and chest where damage occurs and for the rest of my body, I use Lubriderm which is cheap and effective. I just wish Amazon could keep this in stock. My local drugstore is also often out of stock. This is the best sunscreen hands down. It's organic, non-greasy and absorbs in the skin really well. I've tried many sunscreens from Neutrogena to Skinceuticals and tinted sunscreens and they all left a white/greyish mask on my chocolate brown skin. This one acts like a regular moisturizer. In fact I don't use a moisturizer in the day, as this is vey hydrating and has aloe vera, which restores skin to its natural PH balance. I got this product because I have rosacea and very sensitive skin, everytime I try skin products my face gets really irritated speccially when I use sunscreen, but that is the one thing I never left home without, I live in Fl and is always really hot and sunny, to leave the house without sunscreen is a big mistake for my skin, but I never found a good sunscreen that would suit my needs.When I first got it in the mail I remember thinking that is a little expensive considering how small it is, but is worth every penny, I will defenitly keep buying it time and time again, I use it after moisturizing in my face and the results are incredible, its not pasty or oily, is just perfect.
Having said that, the mexoryl-based sunscreens are more effective than the Neutrogena, so are probably worth the extra cost.Bear in mind that UV-A causes cancer, but not sunburn. A sunscreen that protects against sunburn, is not an effective anti-cancer agent unless it also protects against UV-A. Most sunscreens that claim UV-A protection only provided it for half an hour or so. Mexoryl, on the other hand, lasts several hours.

I have been using the "Anthelios Fluide Extreme" for years after discovering it in Paris, either picking it up when I traveled to the EU or importing at ridiculous cost.Annoying and expensive, but it's simply the best sunscreen out there for daily use -light, easy to use, lasts all day, plus cuts out the need for morning moisturizer.
What a delight to find that they have found a US importer!The US formula is slightly different, and I think a bit better, as it leave my skin more matte.However, now that it is winter, I find the formula dries me out a bit, so I will either import the slightly greasier EU formula or try one of the other Anthelios products available here.
One complaint -no mexoryl in this one (their press releases are very specific about this.)I can't find out anything about what "cell-ox" actually is.But I do trust that there's some UVA protection.This suncreen can stain your clothing yellow.I accidentally had some drip on to my jeans and another time on my shirt.Both times I wiped the suncreen off right away.When I washed my clothes there was a bright yellow stain from the suncreen which does not come out easily.Two machine and three to four hand washes later (where the fabric was scrubbed together) the stainmight be gone or will only be faded depending on the amount of sunscreen/type of fabric.

My dermatologist recommended this product to me some years ago. I am 69, still look like 52 (in the face and neck area, anyway--LOL.) I tried the Naked Bee's Daily Facial Moisturizer because my go-to Jean Charles's Lanolin Day Crème with Sunscreen was out of stock.My skin musts include natural ingredients and UV ray blocking, so it can be hard to find products meeting my standards.The fact that this is 70% organic and made in Tennessee makes this moisturizer especially appealing.Though I like and recommend this product, it remains my second choice for a daily facial moisturizer.The scent is nice, but it is strong enough that I store the tube in a zippered cosmetic bag.The creamy texture feels more like a sunscreen than a moisturizer.

I have been using the Body Shop's Vitamin C Daily Moisturizer SPF 30, which is pretty expensive for 1.69 fl ounces. On top of that, the Body Shop brand has a greasy, sunblock feel. Plus the citrus smell/flavor was so intense that my boyfriend would refuse to kiss me after I'd applied it! This, to the contrary, is the LEAST greasy-feeling facial cream I've ever used. It feels thick, almost waxy, and has a really pleasant smell. It also spreads like a wax in that it takes more of the product to reach the same surface area ofyour face. I have the feeling that I will go through this about as quickly as is Body Shop counterpart so cost-wise I suspect it will be about the same, or slightly cheaper. However, it is still less greasy feeling and smells nicer. Plus, I prefer the Naked Bee all natural philosophy over random preservatives/additives you get with the Body Shop. All in all, I approve!

This is absolutely the best sunblock I've ever used...and I've used plenty! I'm a redhead (not at all compatable with sun) and enjoy scuba diving in Cozumel (where there's LOTS of sun). I apply it in the morning before diving and it lasts all day...I don't even reapply between dives.Another thing I like about this product is that because it's a mist, I can apply this sunblock in about 15 seconds. The first time I used it, I put enough on to make my skin oily...don't do this! First of all, this product is not oily and you'll think you don't have enough, so you put on more...don't! It's a mist and you just lightly go over your skin.
Finally, another plus is that most sunscreens make you feel hot...they seem to keep your body heat in...this one doesn't!
However, if you are looking for a tan, don't get this.The 45 spf is too strong to get a tan quickly, I barely had any color after a 7 day vacation in my swimming suit!

This is the best sunscreen I've used so far. I'ts light, doesn't go on white and cakey. I don't even feel that I have it on like other products. It doesn't smell bad.It still makes my face shiny, though. What I don't like is that you have to shake the bottle and it makes a loud sound. Not very handy when you're up applying it at 5:30 in the morning.

Due to vitiligo I burn real quick and anything under SPF 50 does little for me. Even wearing 65 I start to get red. Any ways, I am always on the quest for higher and higher SPF as I seem to get more sensitive as I get older. I saw this product and the Neutrogena Age Shield Face Sunblock Lotion SPF 110. The 110 had a lot of perfume in it and as a guy I found this quite nauseating. The 100+ did not have much of a scent to it and also has full-spectrum UVA/UVB protection.After my first application in the morning I noticed a difference when I walked outside. The usual "heat" I feel on my face from the sun was not there and I was not as red when I came into work. I actually missed a spot on my neck and you can see the difference and how effective it really is.
It goes on fairly easily and as stated in not oily. It is also not dry, either. There are some other sunblock products that leave an almost "plastic-coated" feeling on your face. As it is a Neutrogena product and it was designed for your face it also seems to moisturize every so slightly but not enough to feel slick. There is also no real noticeable "skin-sheen" either. This product is fairly neutral in these regards.

I admit I was a bit surprised to read the previous review regarding the scent. I actually went and applied some just to check it out again. To me, the scent is not that different than other Neutrogena sunscreen I have been using the last few years. It did not bother me and I am one of these people who have a strong sense of smell. I can detect my toddler's poopie diaper from across the room when people 3 feet from her do not.Okay, not related to this product ....but I just have to add one scent that truly bothered me is the Philosophy's Hope in the Jar. Argghhh...the awful odor. Every time I put that on my face, I have to spray some perfume on.
About the product itself, I like the texture. It is not as heavy and greasy as some others that I had used. Glides on easy and absorbs into skin quickly.

First of all, i love the light berry fragrance. Not overbearing, but pleasant. The ingredients are as good or better than high end $100+ lotions. This is one of few lotions that includes bronzers that are not orange. Many other lotions include naturally orange colored bronzers that give an orange color, this one is not orange at all and leaves a natural tan. The Silicones are great for keeping skin from aging, as is the hemp seed oil & caffiene. It has all the proper skin nourishing ingredients, from moisturizers to proteins to phospholipids to help skin cells do their natural processes & encourage skin health while tanning (always good to prevent burns/ cancer/ fake look). Having taken several courses in college (BSN major) I know what skin needs to be healthy, and this lotion makes sure your skin gets it. My daughter and I have searched for a sunscreen that both of us would like, and never found one that was completely satisfactory. She has oily skin prone to breakouts, and mine is combination. Every one we tried always left a greasy feel and look to the face, even the ones that were supposed to be oil-free.Finally, I came across a review of this product on Paula Begoun's website (www.cosmeticscop.com). The review sounded good, so I went out and bought some right away. My daughter and I both LOVE this product! It's the only sunscreen we have ever used that doesn't leave a greasy feel or look to the skin. It dries to a matte finish, and works very, very well under foundation, too. Without foundation, there is no need to use powder to kill the shine. And it feels so light on the skin, you barely know it's there!
If you have oily or combination skin and have never found a sunscreen that doesn't look and feel greasy, try this one! It's the best!
I am a biochemist by education and was a teaching in physiology in a university.As such, I am very knowledgeable about chemistry and the human body in general.I really like Neutragena products and this product is certainly very high quality.For most people, I think it offers great protection, but not the best protection for people who need to be very conscious of sun exposure and the possibility of skin cancer.
According to my dermatologist, recent studies have shown that SPF 15-30 wipes off after a few hours and doesn't offer adequate protection after that time.This is partly due to most people not using enough.In other words, they underestimate how much they need to apply to get that level of protection.

I have tried many "non-oily" sunscreens to use on my face, but I am always left with that heavy feeling on my skin and that sunscreen smell.I recently bought this one at my grocery store to use on vacation to Arizona & California. I was pleasantly surprised by this productit doesn't feel oily or heavy when applied and once dry feels as though I am not wearing sunscreen on my face. I spent two weeks out west with plenty of sun time and never burned. I would highly recommend this sunscreen to anyone who hates that sunscreen feeling on their face, but doesn't want premature aging or skin cancer!Excellent product!

I cannot say how well this product really compares to other sunscreens in terms of sun protection. But it does have the right ingredients that most top-rated sunscreens/sunblocks use, so it should be at least on par with them.
Where this product really shines (or DOESN'T shine) is for people with combination/oily skin. I have tried MANY sunscreens, and it's so hard to find a sunscreen WITHOUT moisturizers (if you have oily skin, that's already your natural moisturizers).
I have even tried other NEUTROGENA sunscreens that are supposed to be OIL FREE and all that. The result on my face? After applying it, I always SHINE (which is NOT what I want).
This magnificent product, however, actually gives my face a nice MATTE finish... and matte FEEL, too! It's a pretty thick cream when you first apply it (as opposed to other suncreens or other products that feel more like LOTION), but is almost immediately absorbed by the skin. In 30 seconds, there is no more greasy/creamy feeling, and in one minute, if you feel your skin, there's a nice matte feel.
HOWEVER, and this is not the fault of the product, after about 3 hours (at least for me), then I feel like the matte effect has worn off, and my oily skin is again showing its oily nature.
Still, as far as suncreens go, this is the best I have tried for my skin, and I highly recommend it for people with combination/oily skin.
BTW, this review is for the actual product I got, which is SPF 30. As of the time I am writing this review, here in amazon they also offer an SPF 45 version, and cheaper, too! I don't know the difference, but I always go for the LOWER one (in this case, SPF 30), because I theorize -rightly or wrongly, I don't know -that the lesser the SPF, the lesser the strength of the ingredients, so maybe it's better for sensitive skin (?).
