Blue Lizard Australian SUNSCREEN SPF 30+, Sport SPF 30+, 5-Ounce

Blue Lizard Australian SUNSCREEN SPF 30+, Sport SPF 30+, 5-OunceAs someone who is very fair-skinned and has had a tendency to develop actinic keratoses (pre-cancerous lesions that are caused by exposure to broad-spectrum ultraviolet light), I have tried various kind of sunscreens. Most recently my dermatologist recommended this product, at least partly because it screens across the ultraviolet spectrum, unlike some that only screen out ultraviolet A.

This Australian product manufactured in Tennessee is relatively expensive but I think it's worth it. For one thing, it contains zinc oxide (that stuff that lifeguards paint their noses with) along with two other sunscreen ingredients and for another it is formulated to stay on your skin without easily wearing off. My own experience is that I can be in the sun for most of the day with only two applications; I feel it is more tenacious than, say, Coppertone Sport Sunblock.

One strange and possibly merely bells-and-whistles feature is that the clear plastic container immediately turns blue (and I'm told the baby lotion version turn pink) on exposure to UV. This is helpful, I suppose, if you're not sure whether to put the lotion on, say on a cloudy day. But those of us with sun-sensitive skin know that ultraviolet penetrates the layer of clouds which are no protection against skin damage. Still, it's kind of cute to see the bottle turn a bright blue as you watch.

Recommended.

I use this product on my children after my dermatologist recommended it.My kids are very pale and are prone to burn. This product has done a great job protecting their sensitive skin and have never had a sunburn while wearing it.

I am a melanoma survivor and am diligent about the use of sunscreen.I discovered Blue Lizard last year and am very happy with this product from Down Under. It goes on well and provides great protection -I'm so white you can use me for a night light. As an added attraction (and I love gimmicks like this) the white bottle turns blue when exposed to UV rays!

I have always used California baby sunscreen, this is the first time I got this.I like the fact that it is easy to apply, chemical free, and that it is much cheaper than California baby. Why is the california baby so outrageously expensive?! Hey, if this is chemical free, i rather use the lizard brand.

Love this product!!Leaves my skin feeling soft and moist.Does not feel heavy, sticky or oily like so many other products do.I'll never use anything else again! It is the only one my granddaughter will actually use.She is a fair-skinned redhead who burns easily and is outdoors in the California sun most of the day. This is the only sunscreen she will use on a daily basis.

Celazome Moisturizing Sunscreen SPF 30 UVA/UVB Protection 4 fl oz / 114 g

Celazome Moisturizing Sunscreen SPF 30 UVA/UVB Protection 4 fl oz / 114 gTake it from someone with pale, oily, acne-prone, extremely sensitive skin with Rosacea -this is a superb moisturizer. It is neither oily nor greasy and does NOT cause breakouts, aggravate existing conditions or let the sun get in. Stays on your skin like stink on a monkey. It's also very, very light weight for all the work it does. I've been using it for years and every time I switch to something else, either it has no sunscreen or is too thick and oily for my skin. I highly, highly recommend this product.

I LOVE this sunscreen for its durabilty (1 application lasts all day) & moisturizing properties. I apply this sunblock once & I can spend all day at the beach without burning, even in the intense Caribbean sun on vacation.

I gladly order a bottle of this every year or two & don't care about the price. It's twice the cost of drugstore sunblock but 10X better than those. The drugstore brands (which I've tried most of) either wash off, wear away, smell bad, or otherwise feel like I've film-wrapped my skin...it's hard to describe the feeling.

Celazome has no odor, applies like a (thick) lotion but spreads easily enough, moisturizes my skin but doesn't leave it feeling greasy or tight, protects all day, & a small 4oz bottle lasts all summer or two (depending on how frequently I sunbathe). If I have any left over after 2 yrs I tend to discard the remainder & purchase a fresh bottle. It doesn't take much to apply all over & there's no need to reapply (unless you choose to but it's unnecessary).

It's especially great for face these days my facial skin is drier & more delicate, & this lotion gives it a moisturizing boost. When I used to have oily greasy skin, this lotion also didn't break out my face (I used to suffer with acne, so this was a worry for me). The finish is a bit dewy, so if you want a matte look you should blot gently with a tissue or apply some powder.

My skin burns easily before it starts to tan & I'm always nervous my first few outings in summer sun because of bad sunburns in the past. But with Celazome I found that I never have to worry about burning, because I know it won't happen. And I depend on this stuff after I get facial peels reliable sunscreen is a definite must!

Love this stuff! It used to be called Lyphazome, now called Celazome, but whatever name it goes by it's an A+ product!

When I first bought my first bottle of Celazome I was a bit skeptical, but after using it I found that my skin was much more moisturized.I use it every morning after my cleansing routine and it does not leave my skin oily.Just a little goes a long way!I initially bought it because I wanted something that moisturized my face and had sunscreen.I am now on my second bottle and love it.

Clinique City Block Sheer Oil-Free Daily Face Protector SPF 25 Sunscreens

Clinique City Block Sheer Oil-Free Daily Face Protector SPF25 40ml/1.4ozI have used the clinique city block 25 SPF for a few years now and it is odorless. It is the only sunscreen that I have found that I can tolerate on my face.It does not make my eyes water.I am very sensitive to odors and chemical components of most sunscreens. As far as protection goes, this 25 SPF is just OK.I got sunburned this weekend from being in the sun for approximately 3 hours after applying 2 coats before going out.So you must reapply very often to get good sun protection. The city block is great under foundation or alone.I use the city block and then cover with pressed powder.Great for limited sun exposure.Be careful because the next step up with clinique is city block 40 SPF which DOES have a sunscreen odor and causes eye irritation, for me at least.

This does double-duty for me year-round as a light foundation and sunscreen.I have very fair oily/sensitive skin, and it has never been irritated or broken out from City Block.I especially like that it's appropriate for the eye area because I've found it very hard to find a sunscreen okay for eyes except an Avon product, which they discontinued.I've never gotten a sunburn while wearing it, but under a searing summer sun I mix a higher SPF sunscreen with it like Neutrogena's oil-free for faces, or Blue Lizard oil-free for faces, both of which my skin can tolerate well.By mixing it in this way, City Block still serves as my lightweight "foundation."My skin had an adverse reaction to Clinique's similar product, Almost Make-up, so I hope they don't ever discontinue City Block.Recommended.BTW, I don't know about you, but I'm getting sick of companies discontinuing good products all the time!

Not great or amazing!I've used it both in winter and in summer, have to say it is more a winter sunblock, because in summer it melts and makes you look super shiny! In winter it kind of hangs in there a little better, it is heavier than I would like, though it says sheer, lotion has a little tint about it, which I indeed liked because, it subtly conceals any slight imperfections you might have, would work better for drier skins I think.

I have used this product for years, despite it being so expensive. I have tried every "for faces" sun protection product on the market and they all irritate my extremely sensitive skin. Not this one!I use it year-round except for winter, applying it after my red-reducing moisturizer. I like the little tint it leaves, as I do not wear makeup (can't tolerate any makeup on my face). It is the only Clinique product I use;I've been able to find cheaper substitutes for their soap, etc. but no sun-protection substitute. As someone else said, I hope they do not discontinue this or I will be in trouble!

I have combination, fair skin with freckles.I have been using this for about a week and so far, I really like it.I didn't think that I would like the tint, but I do.It evens out tone a little bit and hides small imperfections, kind of like a tinted moisturizer. It dries to a nice soft, sheer finish. It offers good sun protection for me.I had a big outdoor party yesterday, applied it once, and it lasted all day.I didn't burn, even a little, and it stayed put, even though it was 90 degrees out! Most importantly, it has not made me break out!So i will continue to use it.So five stars for now.If it makes me break out, I will revise....

NeoStrata Brightening Cream SPF 15 1oz

NeoStrata Brightening Cream SPF 15 1ozIt's my first time to comment and share product views. I'm so excited to share it to everyone!!I've got plenty dark spots on my skin after giving birth to my youngest son, we live in an island surrounded by an ocean and it's really really hot. I developed sunspots and freckles. Until I consulted my dermatologist and she suggested this kind of product. It really works!!! Even on the first application, I woke up with a smooth complexion and brightened skin the next morning..I really love it!! I've also recommend this cream to my friend and she also noticed the difference..You should try this product to prove it yourself..Thank you so much Neostrata brigthening cream!!!

Gabriel Color Moisturizing Liquid Foundation Pale Ivory

Gabriel Color Moisturizing Liquid Foundation Pale IvoryI really like how finely refined this stuff is, never had a single lump or speck in here. It blends really well, I've always just used my finger to apply it, and even when it settles into the creases on my eyelids or around my mouth all I have to do is re-blend. It's also very light and I hardly notice when I have it on. It's never made me break out or given me any adverse reactions.

With my sunlight allergy sun screen helps cut down on my symptoms, so it's very nice that this foundation has a good SPF factor so I don't have to wear sun screen (if anyone knows of a vegan sun screen that doesn't smell funny and also doesn't feel like you're wearing a thin layer of grease, I'd love to hear about it!). Also because I can't go in the sun I'm very, very pale and this is one of the VERY few vegan foundations that's light enough to match my skin tone.

I recommend using very small amounts of it because a little goes a long way. If you use too much you may end up with a 'cakey' look and/or it will just settle into any creases quickly. I also recommend using a light powder on oily arias because the oils will make it travel a bit.

It may seem expensive but since you need so little each time it lasts a while. I think with daily use, a bottle should last about two months.

All in all I think it's a great product and I highly recommend it!

Alba Botanica Sun Mineral Sunscreen, Aloe Vanilla, SPF 30 , 4-Ounces (Pack of 3)

Alba Botanica Sun Mineral Sunscreen, Aloe Vanilla, SPF 30 , 4-OuncesI, like so many, was worried about the effects of chemical sunburns, and had been trying to find a mineral sunscreen that met my qualifications: paraben-free, water-resistant, didn't turn me into a white ghost, actually protected me from the sun, and was affordable.

An astonishing number of mineral sunscreens, while being better than chemical, still have parabens present. Since I try to avoid them in all of my personal care products, I didn't really want to make an exception for sunscreen. This sunscreen even has a snazzy little label on the front stating that it's paraben-free.

As a skim boarder, I'm out of the water but getting wet all day. This means maximum burn capability. On my most recent test, I followed the label and reapplied every 40 minutes after being in the water, and every 2 hours while out. No sunburns on my pale Irish body proves them right.

Now, I don't know about you, but even as the devout hippie I am, I don't really go for that whole zinc on the nose look. Trying other mineral sunscreens, I found that in general, you had to pay ungodly amounts for sunscreen to not end up looking white as a sheet. I don't really need any help in that direction at the beach, and this sunscreen satisfies thatonce you rub it in. Yes, the only caveat to this sunscreen is that it really needs to be rubbed in, otherwise it is greasy and white. I have found that the easiest way to solve this is to schmear as much as you need hitting all parts of a certain area, say, your face, and then doing a second round of vigorous rubbing to make it all absorb. If you have wiggly kids that won't sit still, then this may be a problem.

Since I put on sunscreen every day multiple times, and work outside, commute by bicycle, and spend my free time hiking or at the beach, I go through a whole lot of sunscreen. This is very affordable, and can even be found at other retailers such as Whole Foods when I'm out of town.

The scent is unassuming and pleasant, which rounds this out into an all-in-all fantastic product.

Ok, so I branched out into the "natural" zinc sunblock since everyone is raving about the paraban free sunscreens. Ended up with terrible streaky burns from this. Something is very wrong with the consistency, it doesn't spread right, and when you first squeeze it a watery substance comes out. I'm a freak about sun protection and making sure there is more than enough on, but this product failed miserably. So, I spent about $15 dollars for a really bad burn on my first day of vacation.

I have used this sunscreen all spring and summer, and love it. It smells so good, with a subtle vanilla fragrance, and applies easily with no greasy residue. I am very fair and burn easily, but this sunscreen lasts all day and I have not burned at all. In fact, it allows me to get a slight tan which is nice. I would highly recommend this hard to find product. I came back to Amazon to buy more!

After reading studies last summer that indicated that many standard, chemical based sunscreens actually accelerate cancerous tumor growth, I started a search for a mineral based sunscreen that would be effective and somewhat affordable. After much research, I settled on the mineral sunscreens from Alba botanicals.

My kids spent last summer with my wife in the Colorado Mountains where the sun can be incredibly harsh and they used this sunscreen every day. We noticed that:

-This stuff is thick and hard to rub in.

-It is greasy

-Nobody got sunburned, even with prolonged sun exposure but we sure did get TAN!

All in all, this isn't as easy to use as traditional sunblock or spray-on, but if it works better to the extent that studies suggest I am a very happy customer.

After any sun exposure where I used sunblock I had chronic itchy skin. After reviewing the recent ratings of safe/unsafe sunscreens from Environmental Working Group, and a frank discussion about why you would want to avoid harmful chemicals with a nutritionist, I tried out ALBA products.I am thrilled to say, I am itch free.

Neutrogena Healthy Defense Daily Moisturizer with PureScreen, SPF 50, 1.7 Ounce (Pack of 2)

Neutrogena Healthy Defense Daily Moisturizer with PureScreen, SPF 50, 1.7 OunceI bought this product because I couldn't find Neutrogena's Healthy Defense daily moisturizer with an spf of 45, & thought this product had replaced it. The label says it's for sensitive skin, which appealed to me because my skin is very sensitive. After trying it for about a week, I can say it:

1. Causes my skin to sting, which the spf 45 never did

2. Causes my skin to break out, which the spf 45 never did.

3. It feels greasy, which the spf 45 product never did.

I compared the active ingredients listed on the two different bottles. The SPF 45 contains:avobenzene, homosalate, octisalate, octocrylene, and oxybenzone.

The newer product, "for sensitive skin," with an spf of 50, contains: titanium dioxide, and zinc oxide.

Different contents, different results. I am not happy with the results of Healthy Defense daily moisturizer spf 50 purescreen for sensitive skin and will not purchase it again.

This is a great product for my sensitive skin.I cannot use chemical sunscreens on my face, those WILL sting.I can use physical sunblocks, which this product has.Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide do leave a white cast, but I found it not noticeable if applied properly and given time to dry.I also have very fair skin, so anyone who has a darker skin tone will likely notice more of the whitish cast of the product. It does need time to "dry", but I have no problems waiting the couple of minutes that takes.Neutrogena still makes lots of sunscreens with the chemical sunblock too, which needs to be stable to have long lasting sunscreening ability. With physical sunblocks this is not as much of an issue. As with all reviews, what works best for one does not work for another, the key is in knowing what ingredients your skin may or may not like, and going from there.

Buy Neutrogena Healthy Defense Daily Moisturizer with PureScreen, SPF 50, 1.7 Ounce (Pack of 2) Now

This moisturizer made my skin feel hydrated all day. It didn't gum up under my creme to powder foundation. It didn't cause any skin irritation, which often happens to me when I try a new product. I will definitely use it again when I know I'm going to be out in the sun. I won't use it everyday because of the white cast it leaves. I don't want to look washed out when I'm not wearing make-up.

Read Best Reviews of Neutrogena Healthy Defense Daily Moisturizer with PureScreen, SPF 50, 1.7 Ounce (Pack of 2) Here

I have had great luck with most Neutrogena products that contain sunscreen. The previous ones I used all contained the active ingredient avobenzone (or Helioplex) and I had to apply then VERY carefully around my eyes, because if I even perspired slightly some of the product would go into my eyes and sting. I don't have this problem with this product and I wonder if it's due to the fact that it contains physical sunblocks instead of chemical ones.

I haven't noticed the whiteish tinge other people commented on. I have light-medium skin that gets oily, and I find that this product helps control the shine on my face. It feels very light, not sticky at all, and only takes a minute to fully dry before I put on my makeup.

Want Neutrogena Healthy Defense Daily Moisturizer with PureScreen, SPF 50, 1.7 Ounce (Pack of 2) Discount?

For years I have been using Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock and it has worked wonderfully. My only qualm with it was the slight odor it left, and I would use a body mist to cover it and all was well.

What attracted me to using Neutrogena for Sensitive Skin is because I already use the Healthy Defense Daily Moisturizer with PureScreen in SPF 50. I was drawn to the PureScreen part and waited for an all-over sunscreen by Neutrogena that was the same. No harsh chemicals and something I could reliably use on a daily basis.

I have sensitive skin so this appealed to me on many levels. I have tried other brands in the past and have had rashes in the spots where I applied sunscreen, and my face even puffed up. Horrific.

The first thing I noticed about this sunscreen is that there is no odor, compared to the Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch. Second is that it applied smoothly. I didn't have a "white cast" as others have stated. I have relatively fair skin however so it may not be as noticeable, but I do blend well. It does feel slightly heavier than the Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch, but my skin feels smoother.

All in all I have to say that I enjoy this product and I will purchase it again.

L'oreal LOreal Hair Expertise LOreal Everstrong Reconstruct Hair Conditioner Rosemary Mint

L'Oreal Paris EverStrong Reconstruct Conditioner, 8.5-Fluid OunceThis is a wonderful product. I used to use L'Oreal's top-of-the-line product, Kerastase (Bain de Force shampoo, and Lait Vital conditioner). Also an amazing product, but at $38 for an 8 oz bottle, it got pretty expensive. I've tried a few different products, but have always gone back to Kerastase. It's the best. Or so I thought.

I freely admit, it was the advertizing for L'Oreal Everstrong that drew me in. I tried the Everstrong Bodify shampoo in combination with the Everstrong Reconstruct conditioner. AMAZING. My hair smelled wonderful (similar to Aveda), but more importantly, it continues to be soft, shiny, and healthy looking after several months of use. I won't say it's BETTER than Kerastase, but I will say that it's every bit as good. And for the price, you can't get any better.

GREAT product, GREAT price.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the l'oreal everstrong line! I am a frequent bleacher and have very thick hair; this product does wonders! I have tried countless products, masks, and treatments to try to get my hair back to that 'virgin' feel before I started bleaching. Because of this reason, I have avoided blow drying, flat ironing, and curling my hair. When I first saw this I noticed that it was sulfur-free (which I always try to stick to) and that it was very affordable! I tried out the Reconstruct shampoo and conditioner and my hair loves it! The smell is very different (not your usual fruity smell), but it's not very strong and , in my opinion, smells great. After the first wash I could tell a difference. My hair was softer, less tangled, more manageable, and my ends seemed less brittle and more healthy. I also noticed a lot less shedding. I generally tend to use a LOT of shampoo and conditioner, to make sure my hair is fully covered and that there's enough conditioner to set in my hair. A WORD TO THE WISE: a little of this product goes a long way; especially with the conditioner. I quickly learned to use the conditioner very sparingly only on the ends of my hair. If you use a lot, especially on the roots, your hair will be weighed down and appear more oily more quickly. Use sparingly, and the results will be amazing. Definitely stuck to this product.

Green Screen Organic Sunscreen SPF 22 Tinted - 8oz/230g - Vegan

Green Screen Organic Sunscreen SPF 22 Tinted - 8oz/230g - VeganI purchased the sunscreen after much research....being a cancer surviver I wanted a product that worked and was envirenmentally safe...I selected the tint sunscreen which is paler than my skin tone so I still look a little zincy....it is greasy but I understand there is no way to avoid this due to the natural ingrediants....I am happy with the size of the tube...as it's expensive but I know it will last for several months....I use the sunscreen everyday...it's easy to remove...but will stain your clothes so avoid white or do not apply down lower on your neck...but...stains wash out easily...I would recommend this to a friend..

Although there is not quite enough tint in this product to make it perfect for my medium tone skin it is a vast improvement over the "white" cast of other zinc products and fair to light skinned individuals will love it. Use it sparingly and it goes on smoothly, is non-greasy and stays on until you wash it off. You can subsitute it for makeup.

Will still keep looking for the "perfect" sunscreen.

2 Pack California Baby SPF 30 Super Sensitive Sunscreen Lotion - 2.9 oz each

2 Pack California Baby SPF 30 Super Sensitive Sunscreen Lotion - 2.9 oz eachWhen we had our first child, we researched what type of sunblock was safe to use for our baby. We found that products with titanium dioxide or zinc oxide were the safest. Both of these ingredients rest on top of the skin, rather than getting absorbed into the skin.We also read that any SPF rating above 30 is unnecessary as they aren't actually more effective but contained more chemicals that could actually be harmful. Finding products that met those conditions were much harder to find than I expected.

The California Baby brand was about the only one we could find initially that used titanium dioxide or zinc oxide. We started out with the fragrance free lotion and it was good at blocking out the sun, but did not completely prevent a tan. It also required a bit more time to apply and was somewhat difficult to apply on the face as it is a bit runny. I bought the stick version to address those issues and carry both of them in our car and diaper bags. Also, unless you rub the sunblock in very well, your kids will look like ghosts, teehee.

We like how safe and effective the California Baby sunblock lotion and stick are for our children. We tend to use the lotion most of the time and use the stick only for their faces and for when we are short on time (which seems like all the time). The pack of 2 that Amazon sells this for is a bargain compared to what we have paid in brick and mortar stores. We will likely buy these again from Amazon next summer, when ours is likely to run out.

I am an adult and I use it.I have very sensitive skin and it works great. It does come out with a bit of white film.Use less and rub in and it help reduce the whiteness.Otherwise it does not irritate the skin.

The only sunscreen that should touch your child until he/she is 3 years old. You do not want to innundate your child's skin with fake fragrances and toxic chemicals. A lot of commercial sunscreens have too much junk in them even for you as an adult. At his 3rd birthday we switched to coppertone sensitive skin 50 spf and it's wonderful and more affordable that cali baby. The best sunstick for the face for a child is Aveeno Baby 50 spf. It's the only way to get sunscreen on a wiggly baby's or kid's face. Go to the EWG website and it will give you the exact names of sunscreens that REALLY ACTUALLY WORK and will protect you and your child from dangerous UV rays. Don't trust any other sunscreen unless they've been evaluated by the scientists at EWG.

Hamadi Shea Leave In

Hamadi Shea Leave In, 33.8 oz.I love how soft and clean smelling this rich moisturizer leaves my relaxed and color treated hair.I use it when my hair needs extra care.A little costly and hard to find but worth it.

I am African-American and after the birth of my first child my hair texture changed from kinky to curly. I no longer use a relaxer and most of the hair products I had worked beautifully on my old texture but did not work at all for my new texture.

I looked for new hair products I tried Frederick Fakkai, a few drugstore lines like Pantene and Garnier and a couple of salon lines Rusk and Paul Mitchell but none really worked well on my hair. A friend suggested trying Hamadi.

I really like this line I use the Ginger Soymilk Shampoo, Rice Milk Conditioner and the Leave-in Conditioner. I find that this combination works best for my hair.

The Shea Leave in Conditioner is the best value for the money in this line.A little goes a long way.I use Ginger Soymilk Hair Wash which cleans well but leaves my hair feeling a little stripped over time then I continue with the Rice Milk Conditioner finish with the Shea Leave in which protects my hair expecially if I blow dry it.

It is hard for me to find good products that work well on my hair texture and are also reasonably priced. As much as I like these products I am subtracting one star for the price. These products are pricey and if you are like me and have long hair they can become very costly over time; although I no longer have to pay for a relaxer every 6 8 weeks I don't expect hair products to cost as me as much as the regular expensive chemical treatments that I no longer need. This leave in conditioner in an upscale store or salon costs approximately $4.63 $5.50 an ounce; on Amazon or through other discount vendors you may find it cheaper.

This line is great if you can afford it; hopefully someone will come out with something just as good that is not so expensive.

Because of the shea butter, this leave in is perfect for hair in need of extra moisture. My hair is thick and coarse and this conditioner works great for me and helps tames the frizzies. The scent is nice and slightly citrusy.I did not find it overpowering.I'm currently transitioning out of my relaxer and once i'm 100% natural, plan to use this along with Hamadi's Shea Hair Cream to help set my natural curls.

I am a long time user of Hamadi's Shea Leave In Styling Cream, not only because it leaves my hair smelling delicious like Lavender and Ylang Ylang, but because I have a sensitive scalp. My scalp reacts very easily to even the most "natural" products out there, and scratching one's head is only cool if you're a puppy.

Anyway, I came across Hamadi in an internet search for REAL (as in genuinely) natural leave in conditioner. I found one this one and oredered online.

It's now a year and a half later, and I have Hamadi as a line on my budget. It's not cheap, so your first order takes a trust leap. But I'm here to break your fall. Here's what it does for me:

* It protects my scalp from the heat of hairdryers.

* It keeps my scalp moisturized, calm, and soothed.

* I get less breakage now that I've used it over time. My long hair looks less frizzy because fewer hairs break off. They grow longer.

* I have fewer hairs in the shower drain. I think it calmed my sensitive follicles.

* Smells DELICIOUS! I've used it as a body cream and makes my decolletage smooth and silky.

* It's cruelty free. Arctic sunrise, I am a protector of the enviornoment and I KNOW that no animals, even along the way in a random ingredient, was hurt for my good hair.

* I use it every day and can say that it is one of the few products that I cheat on it like a crow to try something else shiny and new.

I give this product five stars and a big, wet kiss. Hamadi rocks and they didn't even pay me to say that!!!

This is a light, leave in conditioner.Use small amounts. Non greasy. Makes your hair look heathly.Doesn't weigh it down I have long straight hair. Also great for colored treated hair.Wonderful light (not overpowering) verbena scent. And instead of washing your hands afterwords, just rub it into your hands for a soft skin feel. All natural ingredients. This is an outstanding product.I took it to my hairdresser who was also impressed.

Alba Botanica Sunblock Sport SPF 45, Water Resistant, 4-Ounce Tubes (Pack of 2)

Alba Botanica Sunblock Sport SPF 45, Water Resistant, 4-Ounce TubesI would highly recommend you do not use any of Alba's sunscreen products. They contain two chemicals that they use that are not good for the body. The two chemicals I am talking about are Octocrylene Produces oxygen radicals when exposed to UV light and Homosalate Research indicates it is a weak hormone disruptor, forms toxic metabolites, and can enhance the penetration of a toxic herbicide.

You think you can trust the name "Alba", but the truth of the matter is you can't. The two sunscreens I would recommend is Badger or Goddess Garden. It frustrates me that you have these companies out there saying that they are all natural but really aren't.

I've been following website ewg dot organd they list the healthiest sunscreens......There are several alba products that they think highly of.

This particular one is rated ok.

I knew ALba was highly thought of, so I bought without looking at that site.

I do like the sunscreen and find it very effective.

Desert Essence Sunscreen Mineral SPF30

Age Reversal Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30 3 OuncesI I found this face block on the Environmental Working Group's list of safest sunscreens. It is very thick a little goes a long way. It leaves the skin slightly whitened, but since I use it under makeup, it doesn't show. I was at the beach for 4 hours and never had to re-apply. I would buy this product again.

Many of the "natural" sunscreens still have the chemical sunscreens in them that are carcinogenic. This one does not and is rated quite well at the environmental working group website for safety.I've tried 4 or 5 truly natural sunscreens that use titanium or zinc oxide. Some were horrific, this is not my favorite but decent. For full on body sunblocks that are truly natural I prefer Carribean Solutions first, Alba Botanical Mineral Sunscreen second, and this third. It's not necessarily intended as a body block but it will work.Just a warning the Burt's Bees Sunscreen was the worse if you're looking around at options, it went on so dry you couldn't spread it, it clumped, sweated off almost immediately, and it didn't work, I burned terribly. So, finding one that works for you is important.

But, I regress.... Any natural sunscreen with zinc oxide or titanium oxide will go on white. This one is no exception but it's pretty good if you don't put it on too thick.

The truly natural sunscreens like this are not overly water proof.I'd recommend this one for a facial sunscreen, not as much for an overall body sunscreen though as it's not as water proof as my top choices.Of course that makes it good for a facial option as you don't want to greasy of a formula on your face.

Over all, it worked well... I did not burn, it goes on reasonably well for a truly natural sunscreen, it's not very water resistant, not overly greasy so a decent option for your face, and I did not burn while using it.I will likely buy this again when I run out.

I was very disappointed with this sunscreen. I read the reviews and still went ahead with the purchase because I have used other Desert Essence products for years and loved them but I should have listened to those who already knew better. Yes, it does smell nice enough but that's the one and only pro. The main problem is the cream is too thick--way too thick! I've used Alba Botanica's mineral facial sunscreen up until now but thought I'd choose the less expensive Desert Essence and see how it went. No comparison. Whereas Alba's works into your face quickly and leaves it feeling soft and moisturized I must agree with another review in saying that after working in the D.E. sunscreen you've got to be doing more damage to your face than you're avoiding from the sun. My husband and I joked that I was putting on my pale vampire face every time I applied it because it never fully worked in. It also is so thick that now that I've broken the seal it's very hard to squeeze out of the bottle. Because of the white discoloring I'm even hesitant to use it on the rest of my body. A true waste of money-go with Alba Botanica's and save yourself the trouble.

This is an SPF30 sunscreen. In summary:

Good:

-SPF30

-it's on EWF's recommended sunscreen list (see EWF[dot]org)

-faint, mild aroma

Bad:

-tends to be expensive

Your call:

-Rather thick

This sunscreen has the consistency of cream cheese, which I prefer because it is easy to apply without running.I know people who think it is too thick (one tube burst at the seam when I squeezed it to get the sunscreen to come out), but I find that a little bit at a time may be applied, and spread evenly.

Okay, I bought this product back in November of 2010. I used it once and filed it away in the OH HELL NO cabinet. Why? Because it was somewhat difficult to apply and it left my face with a whitish/light blue tinge. I looked like a mime. No Bueno!

Fast forward to July 2011, my "other" organic sunscreen was way to greasy and by the end of the day I looked like candle wax: hot, oily, and melted.

I pulled this suncreen out of the Oh Hell No cabinet and once again the whitish/blue tinge returned. I covered it with my mineral makeup and VOILA... problem solved.

I didn't look like a geisha, the dryness of the sunscreen served as a primer/oil controller, it lasted through sweaty days and my makeup stays put from morning to night. Also my pores are not exaggerated and I have the perfect matte finish.

This sunscreen will remain in my arsenal for eternity and I am glad I gave it a second chance.

Banana Boat Baby Tear Free UVA & UVB Sunblock Lotion, SPF 50, 8-Ounce Tubes (Pack of 2)

Banana Boat Baby Tear Free UVA & UVB Sunblock Lotion, SPF 50, 8-Ounce TubesThis product seemed to cause an allergic reaction on me. I have worn it twice only on my face ears and neck. Both times I had swelling under my eyes, hives on neck, and very itchy ears. Does anyone know what ingredient in this product could cause such a reaction in some users? I would really like to know what is different about this sunscreen so I can avoid it in others as well. If anyone knows, please advise. The reaction lasts several days.

We use this for our 16 month old and 3 year old. Works well, not giving 5 stars as it's really thick which makes in hard to apply evenly.

I tested the sunblock before applying it on my 6-month-old infant. It takes a few extra rubs for the sunblock to absorb into the skin, but once absorbed, it doesn't feel greasy at all. The sunblock can be used on my face as well and didn't run into my eyes despite the sweat. It is also unscented, which makes it great for babies. We haven't been burnt once all summer even though we took very long walks during the day. I highly recommend this product.

Tear free... in what universe?

Having struck out with Aveeno baby sunscreen, we bought a tube of the banana boat baby sunscreen specifically because it says Tear Free and Sting Free on the product. Wise to the world of baby sunscreen having reduced our own baby to tears we tested this product on ourselves first and with the tiniest amount in the eye it reduced grown adults eyes to tears and was extremely painful.

Tear free must only apply if the product does not get in your babies eyes. I don't think we'll be taking that risk, we'll do some more research before taking a chance with any more false advertising from the manufacturers.

After using this product I broke out in a red, itchy rash which has lasted several days so far. I do not have sensitive skin and use Coopertone and Neutrogena without problems. I would avoid this lotion as the rash is quite uncomfortable.

Because I am naturally tan (being born in the tropics)I love suntanning and getting the sun's rays. But of course the first time I go to the beach in years, I end up underestimating the sun's rays AGAIN and put no SPF or the lowest one I could manage. On the first day I got burned pretty badly and needed to find some sort of after-sun lotion to help. The aloe vera gel that we had didn't really help so I took a chance on Ocean Potion when I saw it at the store -plus the price was so reasonable for the amount of lotion I was getting, I had to try it ($4.18 for the 20.5 oz at a Wal-Mart in NJ).I used this twice a day or as soon as I remembered to put it on, and within days my burn and itch was gone.I recommend doing exactly that, to apply often daily to keep skin from drying out.Although I did peel a lot due to burning the first day, it also helped minimize the flaking/blotchy spots, and both disappeared after a few days.My skin stayed super-hydrated and moisturized, and left a dewy look.I used it on my face as well and didn't clog my pores at all.The tea trea soothed the itching and pain most of all, and has a lot of emollients.I usually love Banana Boat stuff but I will never use anything else again.I also picked up their sunscreens and will going forward avoid going out in the sun with anything under SPF 50 again. I highly recommend this product and urge you to try and find another that works better; I'm betting you will have a difficult time.I still have my deep tan too and no more peel after one week of consistent use! :)

This product is really good to help prevent my skin to peel (I got huge sunburns!), good hydration, and I am keeping a nice tan. The only bad thing about it is its smell... a mixture of coconut and orange, hard to describe, but the resulting scent is not very pleasant (to me at least). Better if it would have been more discreet...

Youth Code Dark Spot Correcting, Illuminating Day Cream, SPF 30, 1.6 Ounce

Youth Code Dark Spot Correcting, Illuminating Day Cream, SPF 30, 1.6 OunceWhen I first brought this product I was really skeptical but I must say ive had amazing results! Most of my scars disappeared after 6 weeks and my skin tone is so even now!

I read all of the reviews, positive and negative about this product. Would like to point out that anyone can be allergic to any given product; often it has nothing to do with the quality of the product, but your own chemistry. If you itch or break out-then likely you are allergic to it.

THAT SAIDI am 58 years old, have very fair, sensitive skin and rosacea. So I have to be very careful with what I put on my skin. At 58, my skin had gotten saggy and very dull and dry. No glow at all. When I looked at pictures of myself I noticed that my skin had gotten very blotchyage spots that plague fair-skinned folks like myself, even though I have always worn a hat outdoors. Have not been so good with the sunscreen because I hate the way it feels on my face.

I looked at all the products at the drugstore, know that L'Oreal is associated with Lancome, and finally decided on this creme to try to address my age spots.

The creme is very rich, yet absorbs well. It contains light-reflecting particles, so your face immediately looks better. It moisturizes my (very dry) skin very well, without making it greasy or oily. I even put it on my nose and it does not make it oily, greasy, or cause the pores to enlarge.

After using it for a few weeks, not only have the blotches faded a LOT, but my skin texture is definitely improved, which I don't remember being part of the advertised claims. A friend of mine recently told me that my skin was "glowy"well, that hasn't happened for a number of years! I told her I was using this and she looked close-up and then asked me if I was wearing make-up (meaning foundation: and no, I was not). It may not work for everyone, and frankly I have no idea why someone in their early 20s would try it as it is marketed for mature skin. But I am giving it a glowing report: works well, does not irritate my delicate, sensitive skin, seems to be helping fade my rosacea, improves my skin texture, and gives my face a natural, non-greasy "glow". My skin is now very soft to the touch, as opposed to rough and dry like it was before.

I use this along with a Clarisonic facial skin cleaner and Zia Skin Basics Moisturizing Cleanser (very gentle), and the combination of all of these products has improved the look and texture of my skin noticeably, and has also made it noticeably tighter. Alsoit contains a 30 SPF sunscreen, so that will help prevent new skin damage from forming.

I developed a dark mustache looking area above my lip towards the end of my pregnancy (usually called melasma or "mask of pregnancy").It felt so embarassing even though I don't think it was as noticable to others as it was to me and it became alot darker when I'd been out in the sun.I tried to cover it with sunscreen when I though about it but didn't always know when I'd be having sun exposure.

Anyhow, I dealt with it for almost 2 years til I finally did something about it.I skeptically bought this product and just put a small dab on the area while doing the rest of my moisturizing routine after my morning shower.

After a WEEK I could tell it was fading! It's been two months now and it's practically gone! Two months may seem like a long time but I haven't even used half of the container and it's just become part of my morning routine, PLUS it has SPF 30 so it already guards you against the sun.Wish I had bought this years ago! It also smells nice and is a good moisturizer.

I bought this product along with the cleaner and serum and it took me a few weeks to realize (but I did) that it was the cause of my face feeling itchy for days and days. As soon as I switched back to my regular brand of moisturizer, the itching stopped. I have sensitive skin and should've known better than to try it.

This product really works. After I entered my 30's and 40's, I started getting dark patches on my face in various places (melasma). My skin is fair, so the spots were very noticable. I tried many products, most of which did absolutely nothing the fade the spots away. I spent alot of money on different things until I tried Youth Code the spots literally started fading within the first 2 weeks or so. Some of them are so light now you can barely even see them, and I've only had the product since the summer. I am thoroughly satisfied with this purchase. Youth Code is an excellent product that does just what it says it will, and it's well worth the price.
