Etude House Precious Mineral BB Sun Pact (SPF50+/PA+++)
This is the same shade as the mineral makeup I had been paying $50 a compact for but this has far better sun protection and much better coverage. I really like Etude House products. Will definitely repurchase.

As they got older and I needed to cover more skin surface, I switched to the basic bug and sunscreen products from the neck down, but still use this exclusively on their faces.

I have heard that this is an excellent foundation, but be aware that it doesn't come in a very light color.I got the Ivory Beige, which I believe is the lightest shade of this product, and I found that it is too dark for me.My skin is light, but not extremelyso.I am brunette, and am capable of getting a tan (though I don't have one now).So if you use the Ivory shade in other brands of foundation, like I do, you might find that this one does not suit your needs.
I am one of the people who just doesn't like applying liquid foundation and cannot do it well, but needs more than just the light coverage of powder foundation. The New Complexion cream foundations do exactly that. I have used numerous cream (or liquid-powder) foundations and this is by far the best and at a good price as well!
The neat little compact includes a mirror and separate storage space for your sponge, which I love because I hate when my sponges become covered in product, all in the same space as a regular compact. I've personally never been one to use compact mirrors, myself, however.
But it's not the package or the sponge which I love, it's the product. It's neither too liquid nor is it too stiff, like some products. It's perfectly creamy and works well with the sponge it comes with.
You really needn't use a lot to have even overall covered but by using more you can obtain a thicker coverage. I find that this makeup blends well with my skin and does a good job of evening out my skin tone, as well, without appearing too much like a mask.
You can feel it a little but it somehow just feels right on my skin. Also, I do recommend using a powder over it to reduce shine.
Overall, I love this makeup.

I agree this is a great substitute for my regular time-consuming, finger-dirtying regimen. ZOOM one step and I have great coverage that lasts for hours. But I thought I could keep one in my vehicle and that's how I discovered it would melt and run out of the compact at a relatively low temperature, probably not much more than 90 degrees F.So beware of that, at least in warm weather. Otherwise it did exactly what I wanted: no need for separate moisture layer, under-eye concealer, foundation and powder finish the only extra I need is a quick touch of a quality blusher, and I'm out the door without even that final wipe and wash of make-up covered fingers!
I have a reddish complexion inherited from Celtic ancestors, and find the 01 Ivory Beige perfect to tone it down. Be aware that on Amazon, the color representation of the various shades seems mixed up. I have found 01 to be very light, right in keeping with other lightest-shade quality makeup I've purchased over the years. I think it could make a truly fair person look like a ghost.

I have been searching for a good foundation for my super oily skin for years.I have tried more than I can recall...MAC, Clinique, Lancome, Avon, Origins, plus many many drug store brands. I am 35 and have very oily skin with adult acne. I use proactive and have perscription topical gel to help control the oil and acne, but still when I would wear foundation it would be an oil slick 2 hours after applying it.I have found some great products that help with the oil control (Murad oil control & Urban Decay De Slick), but with this foundation, even not using the other products with it I have great results.
It gives great buildable coverage and blends well.It hides my acne and redness very well, and it does not highlight my flaws or settle into my lines.I strongly reccommend trying out this foundation if you have oily, problematic skin.

It works well for me -but don't use it in bitter cold as it does have water in it.If its really, really cold use the Z-Cote paste in a tin -Amazon has it too.

Mr Big is great. Love the color and super moisturizer of this lotion but the best part is the fragrance. It is not a flowery girly scent but smells great on women. I purchased Rosaclear from Amazon because it was much cheaper than my Drs. office. Drs. office: $160. Amazon.com:$20. That should have been a clue. I received the product in a timely fashion and it was the exact same thing that I had gotten from my Dr. Upon inspection however, I noticed that it had an expiration date and it had already expired. Now I'm not sure if an expiration date on an unopened product such as sunscreen is relevant, so I kept it and have been using it with no noticeable problems. But it's winter. We'll see when the days become longer and sunnier. The 4 stars are for the product itself. I didn't give 5 stars because I would prefer an SPF 45 instead of 30.

Hawaiian Tropic Hawaiian Tropic Sheer Touch Sunscreen Lotion Spf 30
The Hawaiian Tropic Sheer Touch (SPF30) has become my favorite sunblock.I bought it based on a recommendation in Bicycling magazine, and also because it's much cheaper than sunblocks with zinc oxide.This is really the only sunblock I can stand to put on because of how light and non-greasy it is.Other sunblocks have come close, but always cost twice as much or more.It's not rated very well on the EWG Skin Deep database (moderate health concerns), but I figure it's healthier I get a sunblock I don't mind using, than to get a sunblock I hate (or can't afford) and not use as often.It does have a very strong Pina Colada scent, but I don't think it smells bad or chemically.It does burn your eyes a little, so it might be worth pairing this with a separate face product, but I find washing my face after a workout works fine.
goes on smooth, no ghost face, no streaks, no crease settling.not too shiny.the smell is tropically AWESOME!the only problem is it stings my face a little. :-(i really wish it didn't sting my face.maybe i will just keep using it and hope that my face toughens up and gets used to it?lol.i don't know how long the smell lasts either.i may just have to use coppertone sport, as it has all of the same awesomeness as this (protection, oil free, no streaks etc.).although it smells like typical unpretty sunscreen, it doesn't make my face sting, and it's cheaper.
anyway, i recommend this product for women who love that tanning oil smell, just not on sensitive faces.who knows, maybe it's the sweet, sweet fragrance that is causing my face to sting!:-P

The first time I picked up a Hawaiian Tropic Sheer Sunblock, I was in Vegas.I needed more sunblock (I didn't bring enough unfortunately) so I stopped by the Walgreens on the Vegas Strip.As I walked in, a couple of models were promoting this sunblock.They were discounted and I had nothing to lose so I bought one.Unlike other sunblocks I was using, this one goes on smooth and there's no greasy feel to it.It's like putting on moisturizing lotion.The coconut(?) scent is nice too.I've been using this sunblock ever since.
The only downside to this sunblock, and I really struggled to find one, is that because it goes on so smooth, sometimes I think I didn't put enough on.I end up using more, going through the bottle rather fast.

I've been using this almost fifteen years now and I owe my face to it.They used to have an SPF 55 which worked even better, that said this is still the best SPF/cream of any SPF on the market.I wish they would return to the thicker original formula in the SPF 55.La Prairie said they discontinued the original formula because people had trouble smoothing it over their face, they must have been to dense to realize that all they had to do was rub it fast between the palms of their hands to emulsify it then pat and press it gently into the facial skin and décolleté.Whatever...I think La Prairie got cheap and decided to make a less rich formula to increase their bottom line.

Hamadi Shea Leave In
I love how soft and clean smelling this rich moisturizer leaves my relaxed and color treated hair.I use it when my hair needs extra care.A little costly and hard to find but worth it.
I looked for new hair products I tried Frederick Fakkai, a few drugstore lines like Pantene and Garnier and a couple of salon lines Rusk and Paul Mitchell but none really worked well on my hair. A friend suggested trying Hamadi.
I really like this line I use the Ginger Soymilk Shampoo, Rice Milk Conditioner and the Leave-in Conditioner. I find that this combination works best for my hair.
The Shea Leave in Conditioner is the best value for the money in this line.A little goes a long way.I use Ginger Soymilk Hair Wash which cleans well but leaves my hair feeling a little stripped over time then I continue with the Rice Milk Conditioner finish with the Shea Leave in which protects my hair expecially if I blow dry it.
It is hard for me to find good products that work well on my hair texture and are also reasonably priced. As much as I like these products I am subtracting one star for the price. These products are pricey and if you are like me and have long hair they can become very costly over time; although I no longer have to pay for a relaxer every 6 8 weeks I don't expect hair products to cost as me as much as the regular expensive chemical treatments that I no longer need.This leave in conditioner in an upscale store or salon costs approximately $4.63 $5.50 an ounce; on Amazon or through other discount vendors you may find it cheaper.
This line is great if you can afford it; hopefully someone will come out with something just as good that is not so expensive.Because of the shea butter, this leave in is perfect for hair in need of extra moisture.My hair is thick and coarse and this conditioner works great for me and helps tames the frizzies.The scent is nice and slightly citrusy.I did not find it overpowering.I'm currently transitioning out of my relaxer and once i'm 100% natural, plan to use this along with Hamadi's Shea Hair Cream to help set my natural curls.

I am a long time user of Hamadi's Shea Leave In Styling Cream, not only because it leaves my hair smelling delicious like Lavender and Ylang Ylang, but because I have a sensitive scalp. My scalp reacts very easily to even the most "natural" products out there, and scratching one's head is only cool if you're a puppy.Anyway, I came across Hamadi in an internet search for REAL (as in genuinely) natural leave in conditioner. * Smells DELICIOUS! I've used it as a body cream and makes my decolletage smooth and silky.
* It's cruelty free. Arctic sunrise, I am a protector of the enviornoment and I KNOW that no animals, even along the way in a random ingredient, was hurt for my good hair.
* I use it every day and can say that it is one of the few products that I cheat on it like a crow to try something else shiny and new.

I am a dermatologist, and this is my favorite sunscreen.I have lupus and my husband is very fair, and this is the sunscreen we both use.I use it on my baby as well.It doesn't clog pores and there is essentially nothing allergenic in this sunscreen.Zinc Oxide and Titanium dioxide are inert minerals and don't cause rash.The only other sunscreen that works as well as this one is the 30 dollar skinceuticals version.I recommend it to all my patients.It's great.I love it!
There may be other products out there that would work just as well, but I don't need to look any further this one is perfect!She can be in the full sun at midday for a couple of hours and with this quickly and easily rubbed on her face and the lotion version on exposed arms and legs, she doesn't get a bit of sunburn at all.
The tube is so small I can easily carry it in my pocket, and it's just the right consistency so that I can apply it and smooth it around in case I missed any spots in a matter of seconds, before she gets antsy and tries to squirm away.There's no scent at all, and it leaves no residue on my hands, or on clothing or anything else.It's absolutely not at all greasy, either.In short, I love it.

Both my two-year olds have eczema and they both broke out severely after use of the Neutrogena Baby Sunblock.I wonder if it dries out their skin even more (eczema is skin prone to severe drying).It just feels like it sucks the moisture out of my skin; I can't stand the feel on my own hands after applying it to my twins.Their skin also broke out with the Aveeno Baby product, although not as severely.We are currently using the new Johnson & Johnson product (supposedly a daily-use lotion that is SPF 40; it doesn't feel so drying), and so far they are only breaking out a little bit.I think I will try the California Baby product next, if needed.

I feel sorry for everyone who has had a bad experience with this sunblock. If your child can handle it, this sunblock stick is perfect as back-up or when you don't want to risk a smeary lotion messing up hair or clothes or getting into eyes (or don't feel like battling a toddler old who wants the sunscreen bottle). I use this on my 2-year old boy-girl twins and I love it. I keep the stick in the diaper bag so I always have it handy and don't have to risk leaving the house without sunscreen. It is non-smeary and goes on easy. I especially like the elongated "deodorant" shape instead of the round "gluestick" shape (like Banana Boat's, which we also have); it goes on quicker that way, fewer passes needed up and down arms and legs... My daughter has sensitive skin and cannot wear diapers other than all natural/eco without developing a nasty rash, so I am surprised she can handle this sunblock one without developing a reaction, based on the other reviews. For anyone who hasn't used it, I think it is worth trying out. We use Coppertone Waterbabies as our general sunscreen and only rely on the Neutrogena (expensive) stick on certain occasions.
