You have to unscrew the entire cap to get the lotion out. I thought most lotions have a small hole at the top with a flap or something but this one doesn't.
A little goes a long way with this stuff. I've got what I would consider 'fair' skin, and this works beautifully. It covers any redness, and any small blemishes; often I don't need concealer at all. That said, it never feels heavy, and gives my face a not-too-shiny glow. You'll want to add a little blush or bronzer to keep from looking too pale. If your skin is dry, be sure to moisturize well before using, since this will highlight any flakes.

I bought this because it was a new arrival at my tanning salon, but I didn't want to pay the salon price. Since it got great reviews and was reasonably priced on Amazon, I decided to give it a try. I wasn't disappointed! When used twice a week, I got at least 2 shades darker! (However, I hadn't been using any lotion previously.) It's a very natural color and not at all orange.

I've tested a lot of lip balms and this is one of the best.It has both UVA/UVB sunblock ingredients that so many sunscreen lip balms lack (avobenzone, zinc oxide or titanium dioxide in the US)and is truly emollient.It doesn't leave a white cast and doesn't leak a nasty taste into your mouth.Bummer it's impossible to find even in health food stores.
This product is not greasy, and it is easy to rub in. The main problem is that it stings the eyes. If you get too close to the eyes, it really burns. If you happen to rub your face and then touch your eyes, ouch!!! My kids hate this one! And if you have enough awareness to keep your fingers out of the eyes, you better hope you are not going to sweat, because if any sweat drips into your eyes, they get red and burn some more. I tried this product for my daughter who has had reactions to chemical sunscreens and gets excema flare ups from mineral sunscreens.I loved that this one did not contain any of the harmful ingredients we are all now being warned about. I have recently been properly diagnosed with severe acne and perioral dermatitis. I am on meds and start Roaccutane in a few weeks time. It's not waterproof so I'm going to have to buy an alternative! On holiday I'm going to sweat and I'd have to apply every 5 mins! My face was a little red too due to slight sun burn however that's probably because I sweated it off! This is better than most zinc based sunscreens-I find that it requires a bit of rubbing to get the white to go away so you have to use it sparingly.

I've been using this sunscreen for about 2 years now.I started using it aftermy son was born. I didn't want to put nasty chemicals on my precious bundle.We lived in Australia at the time so a good sunscreen was absolutley essential.I've tried other natural suncreams but always come back to this one.Yes it does have an odd scent, but I don't think it's terrible and it is on the greasy side, especially if you compared it to chemical based creams. (You will find when switching from a chemical based sunscreen to a physical barrier one ie. Zinc that the consistency is inevitably thicker and this does take a bit of getting used to) Once this particular cream is on the skin though i've found it spreads well and takes about 10 mins to sink fully into the skin.We always suncream before dressing as if it gets on your clothes it can take a stain remover to get it out! For me these are all issues i'm happy to deal with for the fact this cream REALLY WORKS and caused no nasty rashes. (Other natural suncreams have triggered excema in myself and my son.) I can say hand on heart that neither myself or my son have suffered any sunburn or red skin since using this.One note is that the UV natural not the "Baby" cream is even thicker and smellier. My preference has been to continue with the Baby suncream because of this.Hopefully UV Natural will continue to improve their product and I hope in the future it will become a bit thinner in consistency without sacrificing protection.
