I chose this formula over the other two SPF30 formulas because I have combination skin.Also because EWP rates Sanre SPF30 as a good/safe sunblock moisturizer.I'm not sure if this is suitable for my combination skin though.When you open the jar, the cream looks like a well packed lard (it looks totally ok) and not shiny at all.When I applied the creme on my face, it looks shiny, with absolutely no white film, and leaves skin a little sticky after a few minutes.I'm not completely satisfied.I wish Karen's Botanicals made SPF30 formulas (SPF15 available only) but until they do, I will keep searching for that perfect non-chemical, all natural moisturizer with higher sun protection.
Sadly, as soon as I tried it, my face started turning red very, VERY red.I do NOT have sensitive skin and I've never had an allergic reaction to ANY product but my skin does not tolerate Sparkling Aloe day cream.
I was also sent a trial of the "Siesta Sunset" so I tried that and SAME thing (so I'll post this review there as well). So there must be some SanRe ingredient that doesn't agree with me.
Otherwise, scent and texture were agreeable. Bit on the pricey side but if it worked out I'd be willing to pay it (it's worth it)!
Side note: Interestingly enough, I tried leaving this review on the SanRe website but obviously they only accept 5 star praises (and once in awhile a 4 star praise), as mine was not accepted for posting.
I have tried a lot of products.I have combination skin, very oily with dry patches, and Sanre Sparkling Aloe leaves my skin feeling moisturized and smooth.At first, it seems a little shiny, but after about 10-15 minutes, I don't feel anything on my skin at all.I break out easily, but that has been minimized since I started using this moisturizer along with the Devita cleanser and toner.I was hesitating in ordering this cream as I have very oily skin and other people have reviewed it as a bit greasy. The first time I used it I realized exactly what they meant. Compared to my other moisturizing lotion/gel, this cream feels very rich on the skin. This is a no-no for oily skin but I though I'd give it a week and see what I think...well it's been a week and I love this moisturizer. I do not notice any extra oiliness since using this cream and I love that it has natural ingredients and high SPF! I sometimes break out during that certain time of the month but I did not have a single breakout! This is my new favorite face moisturizer.I've used this product for a couple of years now, and I'm extremely happy with the results. I was getting minor sun spots, and that was a big wake up call for me as far as sun exposure. They've mostly faded, and I feel protected when I wear this cream. Leaves my skin very smooth and bright. I often use it instead of make-up at night, and always make sure to put it on in the mornings. Some creams in the past have caused me to break out, but this one is perfect.
