My family and I are lake people and are on the water every weekend in the summer.We use this product from early April until late October each year and LOVE it..... We have been using it for years and have never caught fire as the other opinion review posted.So more about the spray.We start out using this same product in the 8 in early spring but as summer gets here, we move back down to the 4 spf.It has a nice smell that is not overwhelming and it sprays on eveningly with no realy oily film.It keeps the skin feeling moist without feeling greasy (which I hate that greasy feeling).If you apply it to wet skin (immediately after swimming without towling off), the spray will turn white so be sure you are dry before reapplying after swimming.We do not spray it on our faces but we spray it in our hands and apply to our faces and it work great.We have never experienced any itching, burning or rashes with this as my kids have done with other tanning and sunscreen lotions.As with any spray product, if you spray it around glass or drinks, it will settle on your beverages so be careful about where you spray it.We have never had any problems with it discoloring our boat carpet or seats either like we have with other lotions over the years.I would give this a big thumbs up.It is all we use and have used from the last 7-8 years and trust me. We have tried hundreds of products and spend lots of money on crappy products that did not work. I see posts about people catching on fire using this product.Duh.. It is an aerosol product.Just like hairspray, if you spray it while you are smoking or around open flames, you will not like the outcome.. Use a little common sense people.
If we ever catch on fire using this product and I am able to post it here, I will let you know.
There have been reports of four people catching on fire from the Banana Boat Ultramist products.Based on this I would say, do not buy this.You can research this on the internet but unfortunately I can't post a link here for it.

I've been using this foundation for about a month now, and I am happy with it.I have oily, acne prone skin, and so far this makeup has not caused any breakouts. I really appreciate that it has SPF 30, which is better than a lot of other mineral makeups on the market.When I first began using this makeup, I had a lot of issues with it caking and looking textured on my face.I haven't had that trouble with other mineral makeups, so I assumed this one just wasn't any good.But after some experimenting, I realized I had just been applying it too heavily.Now I make sure I have really tapped all the excess powder off my brush, and then apply a very thin layer.That seems to be enough coverage to make my skin look smooth and even.If I have an area where I want more coverage, I apply a second coat in the same manner as the first, and that seems to avoid any caking issues.
My only complaint would be the packaging.The jar is a small diameter, so there isn't enough room for me to swirl and tap my foundation brush in the lid.It always makes a huge mess.I've started using the lid from an empty jar from another brand, but I'd rather not have the extra hassle of carrying that around.

Yes this has a strong tingle. But that is what it says on the bottle. You should probably start out with a milder tingle if you are a new tanner or if you have never used tingle lotions. It is too bad that people give great products like this poor reviews when the product only did what it was supposed to do and the user was not being responsible. This is one of my 'go to' products. I have over a dozen lotions that I rotate and when I hit a wall, this one breaks through and gets me dark. Newbies need to start with a warming lotion, not an intense tingle.

This stuff will burn your hide off. I used it in a 10 minute stand up and i'm glad i did. I was able to move around more freely when one area got too hot. Longest 10 minutes of my life! After the session I was as RED as a beet for the next 3-5 hours. So only use this if you are not going anywhere. It's almost like an instant sunburn. I don't like to shower immediately after using high-end lotion, it's a waste of bronzer, but 5 hours after use I showered and I was brown. I will use this product again. I used it for 21 days under the sun and I didn't get tanned a bit. It doesn't leave the white color on your skin. It does not smell at all. I like the high SPF this BB cream has and how it doesn't look so heavy or oily on my face since I have oily skin. -physical sunblock, not chemical
-not greasy (I have oily skin so this is the big plus for me)
-can't say it helped my acne, but it didn't increase my acne
-dries very quickly
-little bit of moisturizer, if your face just feels a little tight after cleaning this will help that
-basically a sunblock with a little moisturizer in it
-didn't cause a rash
-very, very little smell(sunblock smell)
cons
-turns my pale face paler (think thinner version of the sunblock lifeguards use on their nose)
-must apply evenly or you see streaks, use a mirror (rubbed in a little extra on a dry patch of skin without looking and looked in the mirror at lunch and I could see a white circle where I applied it)
-need to use a lot (about 3 pearls worth of product per application)
-not enough moisturizer to help dry skin, especially if its peeling
I will keep looking for a better moisturizer.I used to have the near perfect moisturizer for my skin but it has been discontinued.Please bring back aveeno skin brightening daily moisturizer spf 15, but make it unscented if possible.

I ordered this product from Amazon.com.The first bottle can to my residence with dirt on it and an old piece of tape covering the opening of the lid.When I asked Amazon to ship me a new one, they did but, again, an old piece of tape was covering the opening of the lid.(1) They should have a seal covering the opening. A piece of tape is insufficient.
(2) The bottle felt 1/2 full.
Bottom lineI was not impressed with the presentation.

I really loved the idea of being able to add some sunscreen to my favorite scented lotion, but this clearly isn't the product to do that.1. It's heavily (!) perfumed with lavender. I'm allergic to lavender. It would have been nice if there had been even a passing mention of that in the description.The "botanical extracts" in the ingredients list is obviously overly general.Bad move, Dermalogica.
2. They provide no instructions on the bottle, the paper enclosure or even their website about proportions. If you want to add this to your lotion, what amount should you add to end up at a particular SPF level? Obviously if you add too little you won't get the protection you need, and at this price, it's not wise to over-use it.
I'm disappointed.
Protects my skin perfectly against uva and uvb, i have used so many products before but actullay this is the one that works better for my italian tan skin.
