Avocado Butter Pure Raw 12 Oz
I wished the product came in a tub as advertised instead of plastic bottle, made it difficult to get out of the bottle since it's butter!! (you need to place the bottle under running hot water and let it melt)
Otherwise, I love this product and it takes care of my dry skin but takes a little time for skin to absorb.

I finally found a product that my hair loves and keeps moisturized!I'm African-American with natural4c hair (no chemicals) and I use this avocado butter to seal in the moisture using the LOC method, and I haven't had a dry day yet.A little goes a long way.If you use too much, your hair may become too oily.I will order again!I mix this product with my shea and it makes it so smooth and creamy.Used on the skin it is not greasy. enjoySkull & Crossbones Pirate Tanning Stickers 100 Pack
Babyganics Cover Up Baby Sunscreen For Face and Body 50 SPF, 6-Ounce (Pack of 2)
This sunscreen's main active ingredient is actually Octinoxate, which is harmful (see below the list of its effects on health (as described by EWG). There is NO way I am going to continue using this product on my children. After hours of research I am going to switch to Burnout, which main active ingredient is zinc oxide, a far safer substance (most of the baby sunscreens actually seem to be using that ingredient and not Octinoxate.)
I am really disappointed because I bought this product thinking that it was safe because it was organic, and I was misled. I am happy I did my homework and I thought other parents may find it useful.
Possible side effects of Octinoxate:
Developmental/reproductive toxicity, Endocrine disruption, Allergies/immunotoxicity, Persistence and bioaccumulation, Organ system toxicity (non-reproductive), Enhanced skin absorption, Biochemical or cellular level changesI have been searching for a paraben-free sunscreen for my daughter since last summer. The one I had been using (CVS brand, same ingrediants as Neutregena all-natural mineral) was so difficult to apply. It would never rub in properly. The babyganics one is amazing, spreads easily, and provides excellent protection. It also gets very high ratings from the cosmetic database, which rates based on the safety of various products. I highly recommend this sunscreen.

I used this sunscreen on my baby and on myself all last summer, and I will say that we never got a sunburn. We were out in the sun about 5 days out of the week (we live in San Diego), and many of those days we were playing in water as well. I like that it got the safest rating from the Environmental Working Group (a 1 out of 10, the lower the number being better). However, when it came time to buy sunscreen for this summer, I went with a different brand because I was overall unhappy with how this sunscreen goes on. It is very thick, almost like a diaper rash cream, and because it is a mineral based formula, it is very difficult to fully rub into the skin, and turns the skin white and pasty in the process. I always felt like I was pulling at my baby's skin trying to rub it in properly, and she would get upset. And on a side note, I have a full sleeve of tattoos on one arm, and when I used this sunscreen over my tattoos, they basically disappeared or looked terrible because of the white residue. (I understand this is a product for babies, though, so probably won't be an issue for them! Lol.) Also, if you get your skin wet within 45 minutes of applying this stuff, it will turn really white and pasty again, and basically come right off. It also stained the inside of our stroller in many places.Overall, the safety of this product is great and it does protect well against sunburn. But because we use sunscreen so often in summer time, especially around water, I would not buy this kind again because of it's difficulty in application. After reading a ton of reviews for baby suntan lotion I finally settled on this one.I took my 1 year old to the beach for the first time and she hardly got a tan.We spentat least a few hours at a time in the direct sun.It goes on a little white but if you rub it in it will fade.I didn't really pay that much attention to the whiteness as I was chasing a 1 year old at the beach. It is a great price for a great suntan lotion!!

I am a big fan of this brand. My kids use all their bath products and i love their cleaning and laundry products.First, I do like this sunscreen. It's not overly expensive and really does protect my kids who have daily exposure here in southern California without all the nasty stuff.Second, the main issue I have with this screen is that it's white and pasty like diaper rash cream. It's very hard to rub in and takes a huge effort to get it rubbed in and my kids hate it.If they get wet it just runs of their skin.On a side note, at least it makes it easy to see where you have already put it on.
I would recommend this lotion for the park, walks etc, but try something else for pool, sprinklers, waterparks etc.

Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Baby & Family Water Resistant Unscented True Natural 3.4 oz Lotion
Which brings me to True Natural. Allured by the claims that it went on clear, was "truly natural", if you will (i.e. was gentle and non-irritating--perfect for sensitive eyes and skin), that it protected excellently against sunburns, and, given the fact that the few reviews online that I found were positively glowing (if you'll excuse the pun), I decided to give True Natural a whirl. Like I said, BIG MISTAKE! Colossal mistake, in fact!
So, here's how it went down: the first thing that I noticed, of course (and if you're foolish enough to actually purchase this product after reading this, you will, too), was that it is most certainly NOT clear. It goes on with a white film just like all of the other zinc oxide based sunscreens. I rubbed it in for quite a while (I'd say about 20 minutes was spent rubbing it into my face alone) before my wife and I headed to the beach, but it was still pretty white. So, first shot out of the bag, their claim regarding it being "clear" is simply a lie, and nothing more. The more pressing problem that I noticed immediately, however, was that my face began to itch pretty badly. It got worse and worse over the next few hours, and was almost intolerable at one point. Good fun while you're driving! It irritated my skin in this way pretty much for the duration of the day. Hence, their chief claim in regard to it being designed for people with sensitive skin was as egregiously violated as any misrepresented claim I have ever encountered. I have NEVER, with all of the hundreds of sunscreens that I have tried throughout the years, experienced anything like this, or anything remotely as uncomfortable. The sole bright spot that I can report was that I did not get burned (only figuratively), but I suspect that I would have had the same result had I smeared glue, peanut butter, or jet fuel on my face. Next, however, is the really fun part... All day, I had immense trouble enjoying the beach, as you can surely imagine, and I really couldn't wait to get home to wash this garbage off of my face. Now, I'm not embellishing when I tell you this (because I counted), but I actually had to wash my face a staggering and, likely, world record approaching 14 times (using up roughly a bottle and a half of facial soap--which are like $10 a pop, by the way) for this sunscreen to come off. I'm not kidding. For my sunscreen brethren and commiserators out there, you likely know that it often takes a little longer in the shower to wash sunscreen off than it takes to take an ordinary shower, but 14 washes??? Get outta here.
As you can surely imagine, I was compelled to return this item to amazon, and am back to square one insofar as sunscreens are concerned. The experience was so rediculous, frustrating, and painful that I felt that I had a duty to warn you. After all, the few reviews that exist are, as i said, absolutely glowing--which, given my experience, strikes me as rather suspicious, to be completely honest.
Good luck on your quest, and if you, indeed, have a dilemma similar to mine concerning these products, and you find one that meets all of the aforementioned conditions, let me know...
The True Natural sunscreen is great for anyone looking for a safe, effective sunscreen with a high SPF!To start with, the EWG SkinDeep database has given it a rating of 1 on a scale of 0-10, with 0 being the safest and 10 being the most harmful to human health.Furthermore, the database has rated this sunscreen's UVB/UVA protection and sunscreen stability as being excellent.Going by database information on product safety, I have ordered a total of four sunscreen lotions recently to try and have found only this one to have a nice lotion-like consistency that is easy to spread and ideally suitable for the face, as well as the rest of the body.(Badger Sport Sunscreen and MyChelle Replenishing Solar Defense were way too thick with a resultant mask-like feel after application to the face, and Alba Mineral Protection/Fragrance Free had a so-so consistency.)Also, this product is truly unscented and goes on clear as it claims.I have found other unscented products such as the Badger sunscreen mentioned above to actually have a strong scent.Shoppers, don't be deterred by the words "baby" or "sensitive" on the label, as this product is a choice pick for all age groups and all parts of the body!
Update:After having used it during the summer months, I do want to mention that after I got about halfway through the tube, the contents definitely separated somewhat.Whenever I squeezed the tube, a few drops of clear oil would come out first.I ordered two tubes, and this happened to both tubes even though they were kept at home most of the time and not exposed to temperature extremes. This did not deter me from using it and getting my money's worth, however. With each use, I let the oil drip out first and applied the remaining product which still prevented my very fair skin from even getting a tan. This separation of ingredients is the primary reason I have given this product 4 stars now rather than 5 stars as in my original review.
After reading other reviews, I examined the ingredients again and wish to alert shoppers that this product does contain coconut oil which is known to clog pores with a high probability. While this product did not encourage any acne at all in my clear, normal-to-dry skin, it might have a tendency to do so in someone who has oily or acne-prone skin. Also, this product contains ethylhexyl stearate which, although given an excellent safety rating by EWG, was noted as being a potential eye/skin irritant. This begs the question:Why is this sunscreen's labeled use for "sensitive" skin?I assume this is because the CIR (Cosmetic Ingredient Review Panel) deemed it minimally irritating to skin at most!Again, this product did not irritate my skin in any way, but I don't consider myself as having extremely sensitive skin other than for having occasional eczema, including on my face at times.
Bottom line:All in all, this product worked perfectly for me, although I'm not sure that I will buy it again next summer due to the separation of ingredients. The product seperates and when you squeeze out the sunscreen you get a lot of clear liquid (probably sunscreen) and some yellow grainy looking clumps.Tried kneading the tube first to mix it up and it seemed to make it worse.I don't know how to use this messy product.I really wanted to like this based on what I read it sounded wonderful. This product needs some redevelopment work.I truly wanted to like this sunscreen as my favorite natural sunscreen is questionable as far as safety concerns due to the controversy over nano zinc particles. True Natural comes out as separated clear oil and a white waxy cream which is very difficult to blend on your face and really doesn't absorb well. I hate the feel on my palms and it is difficult to wash off. It had such great reviews but I will have to look elsewhere after using it up.Like other reviewers, I too did extensive research on sunscreens to find the most natural healthy sunblock available. This one's ingredients and SPF 50 fell into the top 4 for me.Upon arrival and use, I noticed the consistancy was that of a pale orange paste with oil, but not blended like a cream, rather they are separate, and you need to try to mix them once applied. As to the clearness, it doesn't go on clear, it leaves a light white layer (not an issue for me), but this then seems to lighten after some time.Overall, I have tended to use a different type of sunscreen just because I don't like the consistancy, and the way it feels on my face. Not everyone has the same issues, so others might not consider this a problem for them.It is a bit pricy to get just for a trial run.

Garnier Moisture Rescue Lightweight UV Lotion SPF 15, 4.50-Fluid Ounce
However, this is a great product and EXACTLY what I was looking for. To even find a moisturizer that isn't greasy or oily, is light, and has sunblock can be hard to find for under 10 dollars. Most are really expensive and what you get isn't very much. Garnier's product comes in a generous size (for a facial lotion), has all of the aforementioned qualities, and is very affordable.
I would highly recommend this for anyone who wants an oil free, light, facial lotion with sun protection. Very little goes a long way with this product, so you don't need to put a lot on to get full coverage. It leaves your skin feeling soft, smooth, and clean. This lotion also has a light fragrance of grapeseed/apple, but it's not too strong and is refreshing.
Having fair skin and acne prone skin, I have used just about every cheap oil free SPF moisturizer on the market. Most leave a residue or shine that interferes with makeup, and some of them clogged my pores or caused irritation. It's like a film that sits on top of the skin, bleh. Now I have used expensive products that work, but I'm on a tight budget these days. This bottle is a godsend. Not only does it work, it lasts FOREVER.(I also recommend the Garnier gel as well, this for day and the gel for night.)
This stuff soaks in quickly, leaving a natural soft feel, has SPF, and does not cause breakouts or irritation. (I'm looking at you, Neutrogena and Clean and Clear!) This also actually moisturizes. The smell is mild and pleasant. And it's affordable...after two months my bottle has shown no signs of slowing down. This SPF moisturizer should work for just about anybody...let's hope this stays on the market, folks! Wearing an SPF in the daytime is very important!

So after finally being acne free for the first time since I was 12, I needed to find an all day moisturizer with spf. I found this at Walmart and decided to give it a try. I have tried the Garnier Nutriste Moisturizer and it made my skin a little more oily than it already is, so as soon as this came out, I tried it and LOVED it. It is light and not greasy. Amazing day moisturizer. I liked this so much that I bought the Moisture Rescue moisturizer to use at night. This product is best for oily break-out prone skin like mine. LOVE IT! I'm taking 3 bottles of this back to Spain with me, I hope it's enough to last me nine months.Read Best Reviews of Garnier Moisture Rescue Lightweight UV Lotion SPF 15, 4.50-Fluid Ounce Here
I am a 42 year old female who has extremely dry skin all year round. I live in the suburbs of Philadelphia, and my skin gets so dry at the start of the Fall Season that it actually peels and cracks! I have searched for a low maintenance solution to this problem my entire life (this has a been a problem for me since I was 12 years old...) but never found anything that worked. Then, I found this product. It is fabulous. The bottle contains a pump at the top which you use to pump out the lotion. I typically use 3 pumps for my face and another pump for my neck. The lotion is white when it comes out but goes on clear when you apply it. Within about 5 minutes, it completely absorbs into your skin. Thus, allowing for you to put on makeup if desired.
This product is considered to be their "day lotion" meaning that it's light enough to wear during the day and under makeup. They have another product which is their "cream" which considered to be heavier and more intended for nighttime use Garnier Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel-Cream, Grape Water Extract, Vitamin E,1.70-Fluid Ounce. However, I have found that this lotion works so well that I don't need anything else! I use this during the day before applying my makeup and at night before going to bed.
After applying this before going to bed, when I wake up in the morning, my skin is actually glowing I am not exagerating! It is so healthy looking, I actually look younger! And, my skin feels great no more cracking, peeling or dryness!
Note: I use this in conjunction with the Olay Daily Cleaning wipes Olay Sensitive 4-In-1 Daily Facial Cloths, 33 Count (Pack of 2). This has also had a huge impact on preventing dryness on my skin. If you have dry skin, I would suggest that you use these products together for maximum benefit.
And, at this great price, it's worth 10 times as much...love it!

This product works very well to moisture my face, but it's light enough that it doesn't exacerbate or cause (from what I can tell) any breakouts. The only real down side to it is if you don't rub it in all the way or well enough it can leave a bit of flaky film which looks and feels weird, so you can't be too careless about it.

I can't find this gel in stores so I usually buy the clear version. The green olive oil gel is much less drying but has the same amount of hold and shine. I can use this both to hold down my edges and also for curl definition on 4a/4b hair. It can dry crunchy if you use a lot of it but curls really clump together. Great for slicked back styles because it makes shiny waves with no flakes.Read Best Reviews of Fantasia IC Olive Oil Style Gel, 16 oz Here

I've been using this product for years.Because it does not contain harsh chemical sunscreens, it's great for my Rosacea-prone skin.I do not spend extended periods of time in the sun, so I don't know how protective it is against burns, but for an every day sunscreen, it's great. The reason for only 4 stars is that it can be drying. To help, I put a very light layer of Alpha Lipoic moisturizer from Ultra Aesthetics underneath (also great for my Rosacea, but may be harsh for some).I used to suffer from burning, itching, red skin.Since I'vebeen using these two products, my Rosacea seems non-existent.Read Best Reviews of Devita Natural Skin Care Solar Protective Moisturizer 30 Here
This was my go-to, wouldn't-even-think-about-looking-at-something-else moisturizer for over two years. It was light and refreshing feeling, always looked fresh, never ever broke me out, never whitened me, kept my skin nicely moisturized, and never let me get sunburned. It also smelled amazing.
A week ago, my old tube ran out and I made my pilgrimage to Whole Foods to pick up some more. The next day, I squeezed it out of the tube and... it was different. I checked the label to make sure I'd actually picked up the right product. Yep. So I put it on like usual. Except it didn't spread like usual and I had little white flakes all over my hands. I looked at my face in the mirror and I could see the zinc caught in my eyebrows and little flakes of it everywhere, not to mention a very faint white pallor. I cleaned up the excess, and went about my day. I got sweaty and... it started feeling grainy. Sooo not a pleasant feeling.
Apparently, the zinc itself changed. Some reviews say to cut it with a different moisturizer to aid absorption, but that defeats the whole purpose. I'm as devastated as one can be about a facial moisturizer (probably a little more than is healthy), and I can't seem to find anything that really replaces it. In the meantime, I feel like I'm waiting for my face to break out with this new moisturizer that makes my skin look funny.
DeVita! Find new zinc! Or go back to the old stuff. As it stands, you've lost an incredibly loyal customer.

I had been using this product for at least a year and half, and I LOVED it. Such wonderful texture and such great protection with few and natural ingredients -it was my oily, break-out prone and sensitive skin's answered prayer. Back in August, however, I was devastated to discover that my brand new tube (and the body formula) suddenly produced this white, thick pasty crap that would eventually get flaky and roll off my skin. My attempt to get answers resulted in another disappointment, this time with DeVita's level of customer service:When I noticed the difference in the products, I wrote to the company. The person in charge of customer relations, Barbara, was initially helpful; she told me they no longer used the same zinc supplier and asked me to send her the lot numbers of the products I bought. She even offered to send replacement tubes from a "newer" and supposedly better batch.
Well, when I received my "replacement" products, the body creams had popped open at the tube's crimped edge and the face sunscreen had the exact same lot numbers of the ones I had purchased originally. So I basically got two more of the same thing. When I told her about it, she said that the "invoice" showed the numbers were different and only offered to replace the damaged body cream. So she essentially implied I could be lying about receiving the exact same stuff, which I found offensive. I have no reason or desire to swindle a company for free sunscreen (or anything else). I had been buying their products for a very long time with my hard-earned money and had they not destroyed their best items, I'd still be spending my money on them.
So, in a nutshell, my favorite product is now just another generic cream with inferior ingredients, and the company who makes it is represented by a person who accuses a loyal customer of lying.
Good riddance, Devita!

I bought this product from Whole Foods because it didn't have the other Giovanni Smooth as Silk conditioner.I really like Smooth as Silk so I figured this product should be right up that alley.I have a short tightly coiled/kinky hair and unfortunately, this product doesn't do anything to add suppleness.Honestly my hair feels like a rug after I rinse it out and it doesn't feel that way after I rinse out the Smooth as Silk. The plus is the product does have a wonderful invigorating intensity and pleasant smell however you can just add tea trea oil to any conditioner to have the same intensity.Furthermore, I think this would be good with people with scalp issues and I don't have scalp issues so I won't use this product again.Want Giovanni Cosmetics Conditioner Tea Tree Triple Treat Discount?
