California Tan Face Bronzer Suddenly Sun Sunless Bronzing Powder for Face .35oz

Ok the first time I ever used Suddenly Sun was in 2005. I got in from the tanning salon and I loved it but I didn't realize how much until they stopped carrying it and I have used VS bronzer, AVON bronzer, Rimmel, Physician's Formula and probably a million others and none of them compare to this! I am so glad I found it online. Try it you'll love it!

This item is amazing they sell it at my tanning salon and it is wonderful. However you will need to make sure to use a very loose long haired brush (all over face color type) kabuki brushes tend to be too dense but I would actually recommend buying a dusted brush (the kind salons use to get hair off of your neck available at beauty supply stores) that way you can use it on your face, legs, arms, chest..... you get the point! P.s. it has a little bit of glitter (more like glimmer) as how tiny the pieces are.

I've tried well over 100 lotions, and This lotion is a lot like "Special Reserved" Kind of like an upgrade from it... but better. The smell is great:) Which is a huge plus. I have tried several different tanning lotions and since I joined the tanning club and received 50% off of my first lotion, I decided to try this one since it was so expensive and I thought it would be great. But, I was definitely wrong. The smell of the lotion itself is not that terrific and the smell after you tan is just terrible.It always left me really streaky too if it wasn't rubbed in really well.If you use this and do not scrub your hands after applying it, your hands will definitely be orange! I don't feel like my skin got much darker from using this regularly. For such an expensive lotion I expected a lot more out of it.

Not to be the single, cranky wet-blanket, but I feel like someone should deflate some of the hype.The applicator is awful, flat-out.The little pump-thing has to be pushed about twenty times to dispense enough sunscreen to cover maybe half your arm, and even then it's difficult to tell if you have any of the stuff on you because it's see-through (when you go out in the sun, though, it's just barely shimmery.Maybe a deal-breaker for some, but I think it's pretty).This makes the product's claim of "WHOA! 300+ applications!" a little dubious, because, really, if one pump counts as an application you're getting a lot less than 300 uses, even if you only use it to cover a very small area like your face.Eventually I ended up cracking the whole thing open and putting the powder in a little container so I could dip a brush in and apply it myself.

That said, the actual SUNCREEN works really well, gives my skin a nice shimmer, and doesn't make me look like an oil slick.It's really a lovely product, it's just the design that sucks.

When my dermatologist suggested that I start using a powder sunscreen (which provides a physical block instead of a chemical block), I was hesitant because I did not think it would stay on my face and truly protect against the sun. I took a leap of faith that it would work and fell in love with powder sunscreens.

I bought this to keep in our diaper bag and I love it. Goes on so easily. Plus my daughter loves having it brushed on. My fair-skinned husband was skeptical, but after using it once, was happy to find that he was protected. I found that its best use is for light activity or in emergencies when I've forgotten to put other sunscreen on. The power does seem to wash right off during swimming or sweating. I'd highly recommend it, if you can take the price. We've used it all summer and still have almost the entire tube, so a little goes a long way, which makes it easier to stomach the cost of it.

I have been using this product for about 5 days and so far it has been terrific.I have had skin cancer and also have sensitive skin yay!I had an spf 15 product I used for years, but they changed the formula and it started irritating the heck out of my skin.I have spent a fortune sampling drug store products and "green" products with no luck.So far this producthas not irritated my skin at all, nor has it caused any breakout. It is gentle!I hope this continues, because goscreen will then become a part of my needed daily ritual.After I wash my face and put on my daily moisterizerI brush on the goscreen like I would a cosmetic powder.

The gentleness and effectiveness are my primary concerns so I gave goscreen a 5, but the applicator is a little difficult to use.Mine jammed on the second or third day, but their customer service promply sent instructions forfixing.It now works fine.I also have trouble determining how much I have on.I only use this on my face and neck and don't want too much or too little.Because it does go on so nicely, it is hard to tell how much you have on.If I have any suggestion it is to at some point in the future come up with design for faces only that is similar to some mineral makeup compacts.I am sure the current design works great for kids and people who like makeup brushes, but I would prefer to use a pressing pad or cotton ball.Though I am getting accustomed to it.

This has been one of the best finds this cycling season.What makes this so fabulous?Well with one application of this at 7:00 am, I did not burn, all day long.I was in the direct sun from 7 until around 4:30.I am extremely fair, and normally I just burn no matter what I use.

The application is easy, and with the continuous spray you don't have to worry about missing some tiny spot.When they call this their "Sports" version they mean it.One can only imagine how much this this goes through if this can survive an all day bike ride in 90 degree heat.

Ok, so I have used this product probably for 3 years.I primarily used it for playing softball, and it worked flawlessly!I bought a new can this season, since I was out, and I found that it does work fantastic for the beach.My only complaint is showering afterwards.I ended up with a haze and my skin started peeling after my shower.Honestly, I think it was the remainder of the product coming off of my skin, but what a mess.I will still continue to use this product because it far surpasses others, but any tips for how to get the haze away?

My dermatologist advised me to boost my sunscreen after 2 hours on the golf course.I was pleased to find this product which is easy to spray on.While golfing, you can't take time to spread messy cream all over.

I also like that it is resistant to sweat.The size is compact enough to tuck into my golf bag or cart.

My only complaint is the difficulty of spraying oneself on a windy day.I also wish it was unscented.The smell hangs in the air after you spray it.

I've tested a lot of lip balms and this is one of the best.It has both UVA/UVB sunblock ingredients that so many sunscreen lip balms lack (avobenzone, zinc oxide or titanium dioxide in the US)and is truly emollient.It doesn't leave a white cast and doesn't leak a nasty taste into your mouth.Bummer it's impossible to find even in health food stores.

I used this for the first time tonight. It instantly gives you a tingling, burning feeling. After tanning I looked like I had just sat inside a nuclear reactor for about an hour. It makes your skin look extremely red and burnt. However, the red color wears off after a bit. I am a frequent tanner, but will never use this again. Not for the faint of heart.

I used Betrayal I really liked the way it gave me that extra boost to my tan. I had been tanning for months and felt I had plateaued.I hesitated using a tingle lotion, (I had never used one before) So I tried a sample of this product and the first time I used it I definitely got a tingle sensation and a bit of a itchy feeling (not too bad, similar to being in the sun and getting a little bit of a sun burn) it lasted about 4 hours. I did get a lot darker. I was very impressed with it. When I used it he second time I didn't get the tingle sensation anymore, my skin must have adapted to the sensation. However, the product still made me darker, but, my sample packet was now all used up. So I then decided to try Roar to see how it worked..to see if it was better or not....BAD choice!! I had a bad reaction to Roar (Check out my review under Roar) I will never use Roar again.Back to Betrayal...I really loved how it made me tanner and the tingle wasn't bad either. I will buy this product again. I have used many Designer Skin products from moisturizers, tanning lotions, bronzers and tingle lotions ...I love all of their products other than Roar.However with any Tingle lotion use caution if it's the first time you use it.Different people react differently to different products..I found that out the hard way after using Roar. I like buying my lotions on Amazon..because they are a lot cheaper here. At the salon the lotions are twice the price....huge mark up..try sample packs whenever possible, before investing in a huge bottle. Designer Skin Products are good products..!!! I hope this review helps you to not make the same mistake I did.

SUGGESTIONS:

1. BUY SAMPLE PACKS OF A TINGLE LOTIONS AND TRY THEM TO SEE WHICH WORKS BEST FOR YOUR SKIN TYPE!

2. USE ALL NEW TINGLE LOTIONS ON A SMALL AREA FOR THE FIRST TIME (EXAMPLE: RUB SOME ON YOUR LEG (about the size of an apple) & ALSO RUB SOME ON YOUR ARM AS WELL (about the size of a golf ball) BECAUSE YOUR ARM IS A VERY SENSITIVE AREA AND IF YOUR ARM OR LEG DOESN'T BOTHER YOU THEN IT WILL PROBABLY BE OK TO USE.

3. WASH OFF ALL TINGLE LOTIONS BEFORE TOUCHING SOMEONE ELSE IT WILL BURN THEM, SO USE CAUTION!!!...DO NOT TOUCH A CHILD OR BABY OR HOLD A BABY NEXT TO YOU AFTER USING A TINGLE LOTION...IT WILL BURN THEM!!!!

4. NEVER APPLY TINGLE LOTIONS TO YOUR FACE!!! EVER!!! YOUR FACE IS TOO SENSITIVE!!

5. APPLY ALL REGULAR LOTIONS TO YOUR FACE FIRST...BEFORE YOU APPLY THE TINGLE LOTION TO YOUR BODY, BECAUSE IF YOU APPLY THE TINGLE LOTION TO YOUR BODY FIRST AND THEN APPLY A DIFFERENT LOTION TO YOUR FACE..YOU WILL STILL GET THE TINGLE LOTION ON YOUR FACE AND POSSIBLY IN YOUR EYES...NOT GOOD!!!

6. IF YOU DO HAVE A REACTION TO A TINGLE LOTION, SHOWER WITH COOL WATER, USE AN ANTI ITCH/BURN CREAM..OR TRY USING A DUSTING OF CORN STARCH OR BAKING SODA ON THE AFFECTED AREAS. I LOVE this stuff. I got really into mineral make up after getting a set of it for Christmas. I have bad acne, scars and some spots that don't want to go away. They are fading with the use of different products, but until they're done going away, which I'm sure they will, I need good coverage. This stuff is great. I first got it as a show make up, for plays I did. So I got it darker than normal. I liked it because it was smooth to apply dried on with great coverage, but you CAN'T leave it on by itself, it rubs off very easily even after drying. What you need to do is put it on, you can use smaller dabs as concealer or use a actual concealer, I do both, depending. Most of the time, I can use just a little extra of the foundation to cover a spot, other times I use Neutrogena Healthy skin concealer. When this product wasn't available in stores anymore, I went to their Healthy Skin line. It is close, but not the coverage I'd like. This stuff is perfect. You just need a little help. Like I said, if you have spots like me, a concealer would be helpful. I haven't tried the mineral one that goes with Maybelline's mineral line, but I think I will. What I do is put on the foundation with my fingers or a foundation brush. I give it a second to try. While I get out my bronzer and blush type thing. Then I put on Maybelline's shine free loose powder in light to help it set. Then I put on my other face make up and then apply the powder again. It looks a little odd for about ten minutes, but once it sets in, it's AMAZING. It's perfect. Like I said, I have acne problems and scars, hides it all and doesn't bother me with more acne. It stays all day, worn it from a early morning rehearsal to he end of a show at midnight. So it stays on a LONG time. Even with reapply stage make-up. Great product. Wish I could find it in stores.

Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture, SPF 15, 4 Ounce

How it feels: If I apply this moisturizer in the morning, my face gets shiny toward the end of the day. But most other moisturizers I've tried make my face shine right away. This product feels lighter, less oily, and less shiny than the following 3 brands:

How well it does its job: it's effective on skin constantly made dry and sensitive by Benzoyl peroxide and Retin A products. If I overdo it, dry itchy skin usually gets back to normal after one application, and redness disappears after one-two hours. SPF 15 has worked well enough to protect against sun sensitivity caused by Retin A and the sun of South Bay Area, CA.

Adverse effects: None for me. I haven't noticed any more clogging than with other products. The smell doesn't bother me (it barely smells).

My skin type: I have sensitive combination skin, which easily gets irritated and can break out after a single face scratch.

I'v also tried Aveeno, L'Oreal, and other well-known brands. This moisturizer is still my choice.

I used this product for years before switching to the Neutrogena Healthy Skin formulation, which contains glycolic acid. I loved this moisturizer. I did not find it too oily or greasy one of the reasons that I switched to it was becuase I found it to be much lighter than the Clinique Daily Moisturizing Lotion that I had been using. I could even use this product during the summer, when it is very hot and humid where I live. Neutrogena makes great products. Highly recommended.

After a childhood of too many days in the sun, and now two rounds of surgery for skin cancer, I'm wearing sunscreen every day. Wish I had started years ago.

I really don't enjoy putting on sunscreen. It's greasy, feels unpleasant, sticks to my hair, eyebrows you get the idea.

This one is my favorite. It's so light, it's not unpleasant to apply. It doesn't feel greasy at all, I don't feel like it's clogging my pores, it's not perfumed, and it definitely works.

I have been using this product for 15 plus years. I don't go a day without it. It gives just the right amount of moisture and its not too heavy. It also doesn't aggrevate sensitive skin. It has no harsh ingredients. Its perfect for combination skin. I can't recommend this enough. I started using this when I was a teenager and haven't stopped since. I've tried tons of other products but keep going back to this one. That says it all.

I been trying out a lot of face creams, I have went from Ponds to St. Eves to Olay to L'Oreal and while they all moisturized my face I hated the sticky almost sweaty appearance it left on my face. But this moisturizer is perfect! My face feels soft and hydrated without the stickiness. Definitely a keeper!

This lotion was advertised as one with an exceptionally high tingle factor to it. I use tingle lotions all the time. So maybe that's why I didn't notice any tingle at all. Outside of that, this lotion has very smooth texture to it, spreads easily on application, and has a very pleasing fruity aroma. The more bronzers in a lotion the better. This lotion definitely has that. Will most certainly buy again.
