Garnier Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector B.B. Cream, Light and medium, 2.5 Fluid Ounce
For around the same price, you can get a good-quality Korean BB Cream that is better both in value and quality. I would really rate this a 3.5/5, but decided to be reaaally generous and round up--for a cheap drugstore item, it's not too bad.Here's why I don't love it:
-GREASY: Even if you have dry skin, you'll just look greasy until it dries (which takes forever). I hate when hair sticks to my face. A finishing powder would be great, but the point of me using this was not to wear more product.
-NOT GOOD FOR SKIN: I'd call this a tinted moisturizer, **NOT** a BB cream. For a couple weeks, this was the only thing I used on my face except for moisturizer. The texture/quality of my skin got worse--something that wouldn't necessarily happen with a true BB cream unless you were allergic to something. This never happened with my Skin79 BB cream. It's not like there's any regulation on what companies can call a BB cream; I mean, Garnier could come out with a face scrub and slap on the label "BB Cream".
-EMPHASIZES LINES: If you can't tell from the pics I posted, my hands are pretty wrinkly up close--this emphasized all the lines. I'm young so my face doesn't have wrinkles, but if it did I would definitely not use this.
-LOOKS CAKEY: I have a few small bumps on my skin, and some patches of dryness--this just looked really bad over them. That being said, it's not noticeable unless you look at my face from like a foot away.
-FEELS CHALKY: Not the same as looking chalky--this isn't something many people would have a complaint with. You know how most cheap sunscreens and some 'moisturizers' don't quench dry skin, so even if it's wet it feels chalky? This is just like that.
Here are some rewarding properties:
-NO YELLOW UNDERTONES: These aren't made specifically for Asian skin.
-GREAT COVERAGE: Especially for a tinted moisturizer, the coverage is pretty great.
-FEELS LIGHT: I can feel when there's product all over my face, and it feels uncomfortable--that's why I don't use liquid foundation. This stuff feels very light.
-CHEAP: Hey, thirteen bucks isn't bad.
-SPF 15: If you don't wear sunscreen on your face, you'll have some sort of UV protection.
-NOT THE WORST: Ehh, it's not a bad product. It's cheap, covers your skin, isn't super heavy, has sunscreen, etc. But I would never describe this as "great" or "amazing" or "perfect".
Just a warning--I have medium skin and this fit me perfectly, so I would NOT recommend this for light skin.
If you have pale skin without intensely pink undertones: get a Skin79 or other Korean BB cream (they have different formulas for different concerns)--they feel amazing.
If you have more money to spend: Dr. Jart has great BB creams. Apparently the Too Faced one has good coverage.
If you have medium skin and don't want to spend a lot on the BB cream fad: This is a decent alternative, but L'oreal and Maybelline are also coming out with 'BB creams'--you could try those as well.
Being medium-skinned, my 'Oriental Gold' Skin79 cream didn't match my skin well (but feels amazing! I mix it w/moisturizer so it's not as light). This Garnier Fructis product perfectly matched my skin tone as well as my sister's (who is a few shades lighter), but the quality was somewhat inferior.
(note: I don't think GF ever made any reference to this *improving* your actual skin, which is what real BB creams do--it just says it 'instantly improves' when you put it on, which any foundation will do. careful wording!)
Pros:
Relatively Cheap & Generous amount
Available in deeper skin colors than traditional BB creams (Huge plus)
Readily available at most/major drugstores/walmart/target (No shipping!)
Silky texture going on, blends nicely
Cons:
Greasy/Suncreen-y look (I was shiny all day)
No skin improvement (I actually broke out a little)
Wipes off easily (I hadn't noticed this with other BB creams)
Cakey & does not leave skin looking "perfect" or Improved in any way. ( I could see all my wrinkles & pores)

This is a great product for people with dry skin.In recent years my skin has changed and become DRY. After makeup application I looked pasty! I'm glad I found this BB cream No more pasty looking skin Alleluia! Used with a bit of concealer this product gives me an even, moist looking finish.
APPLICATION:
I put some product on the back of my hand. I dip a "stipple brush" evenly & LIGHTLY into the product. I "stipple" (dot) it on my skin, let it dry and then buff it a bit (you can use whatever method you like to apply it.)I am VERY happy with the natural looking results AND the SPF protection.
COLOR/Scent:
I have light olive skin and I use the medium-deep. Pleasant scent is so light, it's barely there.

Isononyl Isononanoate:
A skin conditioning emollient that leaves a silky feeling on the skin.
Isohexadecane:
High purity. Although it is colorless & odorless it creates a very creamy, thick formula. However, for all of its rich texture, it leaves a non-greasy, light and silky feeling on the skin.
Linalool:
A component of many essential oils, including orange, lavender, rose, rosewood, and coriander. (Isn't that awesome?)
Cetyl palmitate:
A naturally occurring fatty acid.
Limonene:
A scent ingredient and solvent naturally ocurring in the rind of citrus fruit.

God bless :)At first I really liked this product. It felt really smooth and creamy, and I liked the way it applied to my skin. After a few hours, however, it seemed to oxidize and turn a bit orangey (I am quite fair so this may not be a problem for everyone). I also have pretty clear skin given I keep up with my cleansing routine, but this stuff broke me out. I used it 3 times, 3 days in a row, for only half a day each time, because after a few hours my skin became so heavy and oily feeling that I had to wash it off. I began to break out after the second day of using this product. It's been about a week since I stopped using it and the break out is almost completely gone. I would not recommend this to anyone, and I've heard it's a joke compared to real BB creams.I have to say I was somewhat skeptical, okay, really skeptical, about this BB Cream obsession.But, nevertheless, being the beauty product junky I am, I had to try it.I went with the Garnier BB Cream because it's fairly inexpensive compared to the Dior and MAC BB creams, my go to skincare and cosmetic brands.I was anxious to receive the product so when it came I tried it right away.I was first pleasantly surprised by the fragrance.Now, I'm not huge on strong smelling products (I have a VERY sensitive sense of smell) but this one has a nice clean, floral fragrance that I have to admit what most people would consider strong, but it is VERY tolerable.After I applied the cream I realized that I didn't need nearly as much as I put on, which is great! Less product used, less money spent on product!The package claims the cream "renew, hydrate, evens, protects, and brightens."Done, done, done, done, and done.I still needed a little concealer on some breakouts but I'm pretty sure that once all clears up I won't need anything more than the BB cream for good coverage.Bottom line, I would recommend purchasing this product if you're curious about BB cream and want to try an inexpensive version first. :)

I bought this lotion at my salon because I had forgotten my usual lotion at home. It was 18 dollars there, but it was one of the cheapest they sold. The salon worker told me that another patron had used this lotion and had gotten really dark fast, so I figured what the heck, it's cheap and if it doesn't work who cares. I have been using it for a little over a month, and am darker than I've been in a long time. I had even skipped about a week of laying in the tanning bed and was still dark! I get compliments all the time on my skin color. Now, this lotion doesn't have bronzer, which I usually use, so it's all natural color and won't wash off after a few showers, which I like. It smells like cherries and cake mix, with no ATO. It's not greasy, and because it's a gelee, it absorbs quickly, and doesn't feel gross after tanning. My husband even uses it when he lays. I bought this lotion from my salon.It was more expensive than it is on here, but still very reasonably priced (especially when compared to the crazy prices of some other brands).It's a level 2 lotion, but I think it would work just fine as a level 1 also.I usually use lotion with bronzer, and this lotion doesn't have any.I honestly bought it without even trying it because of the smell.I love it!It's not overpowering at all.I think it's supposed to be "sweet almond and vanilla" or something like that; I think it smells like cake mix. It leaves you with virtually no after-tan smell, which is great.It just doesn't leave you with quite as much color as some others (again, no bronzer).I still alternate it with a bronzer lotion.It has a nice consistency and feels good going on.I think it's definitely worth a try!(Plus, even if you don't like it, you're not out that much cash anyway!)

Ultra Light Facial Moisturizer - SPF30
I have been looking for a non-chemical SPF combined with face moisturizer for a long time. I live in sunny southern California. This product is great for those with sensitive skin or those allergic to chemical based sunscreens. Most companies only have face moisturizer w/ SPF that contains chemical suncreen but I am allergic to those chemical ingredients which causes me to have a face rash. The Kimberly Sayer moisturizer plus SPF is a great find. It doesn't contain any chemical suncreen ingredients, only physical blockers and I don't need to put on separate moisturizer. I've been using it every day since I got it. My skin is naturally oily and it has not caused any pimples and it keeps my skin feeling less oily. Usually non-chemical sunblocks make your face white because of the titanium dioxide (I've tried the neutrogena sensitive skin sunblock and it is very hard to blend in, still see whitish color on face) but the Kimberly Sayer product goes on smoothly without any whitish color. You get a huge size bottle and only need to use a little bit to get full face coverage so it is definitely worth the money. I will definitely buy again, please don't ever stop making this product. I will also look into other products made by Kimberly Sayer because I like this product so much. I've tried Juice Beauty's Mineral Moisturizer with SPF which also has non-chemical sunblock but found it to be more oily on my skin, although it was good in that it didn't cause whitish tinge either, but it was more expensive for the number of ounces that you got.

Best I've tried and I've tried a lot. It absorbs easily, as opposed to many other non-chemical sunscreens, isn't greasy, and smells nice. I only wish it came in a mini size so I could travel with it.

I have ordered enough shea butter to know what to expect.This stuff is crap.It had a sale sticker that was faded out.God knows how long it sat around before I got it.The white ring is a sign it was exposed to heat.I will still use it, but only on my feet and only after I remelt it and put it in a decent container.Next time I will spend the extra cash and get the good stuff.
I liked this product.I bought it to make personal care products moisturizer, lip balm, deodorant, etc.I was concerned because I'd been given some shea butter that I now realize must have been a bit rancid and I'd read some complaints about the shea butter having an unpleasant odor.This butter was a nice golden color and had a very milk scent.I have mixed it with other butters and oils, but it was also fine just out of the container.

This item is amazing they sell it at my tanning salon and it is wonderful. However you will need to make sure to use a very loose long haired brush (all over face color type) kabuki brushes tend to be too dense but I would actually recommend buying a dusted brush (the kind salons use to get hair off of your neck available at beauty supply stores) that way you can use it on your face, legs, arms, chest..... you get the point! P.s. it has a little bit of glitter (more like glimmer) as how tiny the pieces are.

The Vanicream line was reccommended to me by my dermatologist, and I really like all the products I've tried so far. The lip protectant is easy to apply from the squeeze tube. It helps to quickly exfoliate the dead, dried skin from chapped lips, and stays on after application. It is necessary to wipe it away from the corners of your mouth, because for some reason it stays white there. No other lip balm is as moisturizing as Vanicream. It is also the only lip balm that doesn't cause me to break out around my mouth. I love it and will not use anything else. The only downside is that it is difficult to find in stores.

Really like the product. When I put it on I have that satisfied feeling the I am putting on something that really works. It relieves the soreness that so many other products do not. My lips are in much better shape now.

I work outdoors, over the years I've tried EVERY sunscreen on the market.This product is the best.It keeps working even if you are active outside.There is no scent and leaves just a slight feeling of "sticky" when applied.That's sunscreen for you though!I use a different high end product for my face however.

This is a very good sunscreen for people with moderate to very oily skin.It's an especially good choice for those with sensitive skin as this product contains zinc oxide (instead of avobenzone, which can cause stinging).I used the Olay Complete Sensitive Skin sunscreen for years until I went on a quest for a "holy grail" sunscreen.I had no luck (this one was too heavy, that one stung, etc. etc.) and decided to go back to Olay Complete.I found that they'd added an option for Oily/Combination skin and was excited to try it.It does seem more matte than the Sensitive Skin formula.The moisturizing base is pretty dull, but if you have oily skin you don't need much in the way of a moisturizer anyway.

This is great to wear alone as a moisturizer daily because it has a SPF 15, is light and non-oily; yet, my skin never feels dry or tight after use. Remember though, the SPF 15 is NOT enough for extended time in the sun (like a day at the beach or working out) and as you perspire/sweat it will begin to run/drip. I use this "dog lotion" after baths and on particularly dry days on my pitbull who has dandruff and dry skin. It absorbs fast, doesn't have a strong perfumey scent which is great for both of us, and leaves her skin flake free and non greasy. It's definitely helped with my allergies to her. i bought this because of the great reviews and it turns out that it is more like a foundation than a moisturizer or a lotion.it's a little thicker than i wanted and it feels heavy on my face.i dont wear foundation, but i just wanted something with a little color that would be lightweight and not too hard on my pores.it does have a nice shimmer to it but it's just not what i thought it would be.

We go through buckets of sunscreen, and this stuff is great.It's a no-frills sunscreen.Leaves a thick white film, and it's definitely oily.If you're wearing black, it'll leave nasty white stains.However, it also doesn't come off, keeps away sunburns, and comes in an easy to apply pump bottle.It also doesn't seem to irritate sensitive skin.So, it does the job we bought it for.
Both my husband and son applied this product liberally to their skin prior to attending a three hour ball game in the bright April sun. When they came home, both had red faces and slightly burned arms. We had been using Neutrogena's sheer sunblock but it ran out and this was on sale. Neither were burned when they used the Neutrogena sunblock at the ballpark a few weeks ago.
Pros: The pump is easy to use, and this lotion has a slightly milky consistency, which makes it easier to apply. There is no strong sunscreen odor.
Cons: Doesn't seemt to work well, not sure if the formula is perhaps too runny? It contains titanium dioxide which is great for UVB blocking, but it doesn't have much UVA coverage. It also contains parabens and vitamin A, which have potentially hazardous health effects (they are known carcinogenic agents). I don't think I'll be purchasing this again, unless Banana Boat improves/modernizes the formula.

I have normal/oily skin that tends to get very oily in the T-zone when stressed (cold, heat, lack of sleep, dehydrated, etc).I recently bought this to replace my Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel because the gel just wasn't moisturizing enough* my skin would feel tight after application but then would get oily within an hour or two even if not stressed.Hope in a Jar seemed to get decent reviews on performance and iffy ones on smell/texture.I tried both the original and SPF versions in a store and settled on the SPF.I've been using this moisturizer for almost two weeks now, and I wear it for 12-14 hours a day.And I have liked it the whole time.A little goes a long way, the texture is smooth, the scent is "sunscreen" but disappears pretty quickly, sinks into my skin well and leaves it feeling good.Just good not tight, not greasy, not waxy, just very comfortable.
It is not a mattifying moisturizer when my skin does get oily, the lotion doesn't prevent or absorb the oil, but I haven't had problems with clogged pores or breakouts, my skin continues to feel like it can breathe throughout the day.I do like that it has SPF (and quite a lot of it), so I have high hopes for it for summer.Can't comment on how it does with flash photos as I haven't taken any yet.
All in all, I am very pleased with this product.Amazon has a better price than beauty stores, but I would recommend going to a store to buy the first one Ulta and Sephora and such have a great return policy, which is a must with higher-end beauty products for me.
*I hate Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion it is more moisturizing but feels and makes my skin waxy, makes it look like I have very large pores, and seems to clog my pores.This is why I was looking for a different moisturizer.
I've tried many moisturizers trying to help with the excessive dryness the Accutane causes and none so far have compared to Hope in a Jar. This particular one is oil free so it works great for me and my particular type of skin. There is another Hope in a Jar that isn't oil free or have SPF protection. So just be careful when choosing which one to buy :)

I really love this lotion. I was so happy to find a product with SPF that didn't feel gross on my face and doesn't seem to make me break out. It is pretty pricey, but I think the combination of high quality oil free +SPF justifies the price.
